/v/ it seems is always salty so it doesn't come at a particular surprise.

Though now with F4 coming out it is also bringing out all the die-hard Fallout 3 fan-casuals. The sorts who only ever played Fallout 3 so judge things by that. Which feels pretty narrow. Don't get me wrong, it's a good game. But it certainly shouldn't ever be a reference point on anything in the Fallout world.

These types need to play FNV and really explore that title in its depth.

Certainly looks a lot prettier and less muddy than Fallout 3. A bit cartoony too, which I can't complain about but I got to wonder how Beth expects this to work.

But if there is an abundance of gray (or le hyper realistic green filter ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ) there will always be mods to spruce it up later anyways. Fuck generic gray bullshit.

D.C. Wasteland was so dull and grey because it got Nuke-raped, this was China's enemy capital and wanted to ensure that if the US survived that they'd be severely demoralized by the fact their glorious capital was in ruins.

Dude if you did enough exploring in fallout 3 you would of noticed they mentioned that only major vaults got gecks.The issue though was the enemy's found out before hand the Americans were building vaults and adding Gecks in certain vaults. This caused them to drop nukes quicker then they planed to. So the last bunch of vaults which were around dc had to rush. This was the only reason one geck was in dc because they planed for a bunch more since it was an area they planed to use them rebuilding.Point is there was not only one geck,it was only given to pretty much 1%..

It's set in New England chaps, time to close that discussion as confirmed. There's probably other locations to key in on, but I didn't have near enough ideas to search to confirm them.

Fallout 4 will be completely dog based. You will play only as a customizable dog with a generic human companion. The game will be 95% escort mission (5% being tutorial and maybe one mission thrown in to try and shake it up).

All the hardcore people will also complain about the lack of factional depth and political intrique in the Wasteland. As with now, /v/ will be full of shitposting on release because expectations.
