Are we expecting too much from newbs?

So what I'm basically trying to ask is, should I dumb myself down for the sake of not annoying the older and more socially advanced members of RPG, or is there a way for me to RP with older people without getting on their nerves?

Short answer: No.
Long answer: That depends entirely on your own needs and views. The fact that you're asking this question at all shows me that you really kinda don't wanna dumb yourself down. If you want to be accepted by everyone and everything then yes, you could dumb yourself down. If you want to write stories and roleplay, then no. There's not much else to this question I think.

@moon princess Welcome to the guild. If I may offer some advice from one European to a... wherever you are from - if you visit France, and by all means you should if you get the chance, do 'skip' on Paris. It's not as wonderful as it's made out to be. Between the many merchants quite literally shoving hands into your car/face to sell you miniature Eiffeltowers and the many many homeless on the subways, I just don't think it's worth it. Besides that, why take a picture of the Eiffeltower if literally every other tourist has one of those?

Either way, don't let my pessimism bring you down. The idea of dying before thirty sounds good, to be honest. I think you'll find a lot of people that agree on this website. It's kind of a cringy dark place sometimes. You'll find that out soon enough I suppose.

I hope you enjoy your stay. This website can be pretty nice. There's some moments that I liked on here. And if you need someone to talk to, or just wanna make friends, you should always feel free to hit me up. Cheers.

Is Fairy Tail the new popular shounen series to hate now that Naruto and Bleach are done? Because the only thing I know about that series is that all the ladies are stacked which makes me think it's a-okay.

The best part about this is that Naruto has only gotten worse since it stopped, since the continuation in the Boruto series.

The story from what I've seen also has gotten only more incredibly 'power-dick-slapping' than before, giving the shonen series a nice 1-up imho. So the hate should not have gone away, in fact it should've gotten stronger. So, I suppose the hate on Fairy Tail comes from another direction?

@Vas Khaleen while I am a terrible GM, I might be able to help you by coding your OOC post and such, if you'd allow me to? It'd look a bit nicer. However, I'll create a character first, since that is logically the first step.

I'm interested, if you need someone for some historical input, feel free to ask, I take great interest in vikings as I am a pagan myself. Actually seen Halvtand a few times around here as well.

Recently got a book called the Hammer and the Cross, so if need by I can even look into some.. semi-reliable sourcing for you. I also know a few of the saga's, so that would be good too. Anyway, I'll get on a character
