Expand as you like on this level, maybe the Duke only could only get part of his band to come along

Didn't realize Trevor was referring to the same barge that the marksmen are at. I'm going to pass it off as another one nearby with more bandits (to fill in the other roles that Rumi sent pictures to me). Marksmen might cross paths or something.

@Dnafein@RumikoOhara

Or one group went up river the went downriver. Could even be 2 groups.
I'm reading...DNA dragged me in...y'all in need of anything particular character-wise?

Guilty.
@Ambra

Sorry i've been staring at a blank cs trying to put something together. My schedule just got busy so i thought i'd let you know that it might be a week or two before i have the time to pound my head into the wall until the creative juices start flowing on this sheet and ii am capable of doing my usual research for the perfection i seek in my cs'.

If you have to start without me go right ahead. If you'd prefer i withdrawl i can do so as well.

Apologies either way.

The Borg didnt invade fully until much later but there were a few encounters with the borg. Archer of the first Enterprise battled a borg probe once. Not to mention the borg did go back to the time of Zefram Cochrane but yeh the age of the character is slightly off.

The probe Archer faced was from the remains of the destroyed cube sent back to prevent first contact between humans and vulcans. They were discovered by archeologists in antartica and inadvertently reactivated. Even those two events only happened because of the Enterprise D's encounter in 2366. And again I feel it should be pointed out that before the enterprise the only humans who heard anything more then rumors were the Hansens (seven of nine's parents) and they had to travel all the way to the delta quadrant to find them.

This site has themajority of the canon history of the borg. Memory beta might have more from the books. Also Netflix has al. The series. I think i saw the animated series as well.

Unless they're a spy posing as Vulcan

A very likely scenario, there have been a a number of them before.
@BladeSS4 The biggest thing I see is the age of the character. The Borg didn't start invading Federation space until 2366, that's only 7 years before the start of the rp. According to the lore the only Federation (i.e. Human) contact with the Borg prior to 2366 was the Hansen's; Who had to travel into the Delta quadrant to find them. And the Enterprise, who were thrown 7000 thousand light years into unexplored space.

Of course, I'm just an rper. Kai has full say.

Aria strode through the berthing saucer D, headed for the Grandeur. She stopped at the windows overlooking berthing 2 and studied the galaxy class ship beyond. Even as close as it was the sight was beautiful, and butterflies fluttered in the ensigns stomach again. Since her arrival on the starbase 3 days ago, Aria had visited windows presenting different views of her first posting; This was the closest she’d been to it since her arrival however.

Turning away from the sight the security officer made her way to the airlock, squashing the butterflies with a thought. Her thoughts then proceeded to tumble through her hopes and plans; Examined the memories of her previous hosts looking for guidance among them, Aria became lost in her thoughts. As she moved her brisk stride turned into the feminine glide of a starlet. The ensign came to a halt in front of a wall panel on the Grandeur.

”Computer; locate Lieutenant,” The Trill referenced the padd she was holding. ”Cloudborn.”

The computer responded promptly. ”Lt. Cloudborn is currently in the security office.”

The ensign whirled and moved to the nearest turbolift. She slipped between a pair of engineers who she chatted with amicably. While she shared their excitement she had a tight grip on it; Still the fluttering returned to her stomach as she exited the lift. Striding down the hallway the trill came to a stop outside the Chief of Security’s office, reaching out she hesitated. Taking a deep breath and brushing an auburn lock behind her ear, Aria took a hold of herself and tapped the door chime.

Jinn sat in her Department office feeling the glow of recognition after enduring so long a period in a place designed for slow promotion. She like anyone who has chosen knew it was advance or become a Diplomat or simple civilian and the idea of being so anchored down repugnant. She was seen as some as trying to measure up to her mother and they were so wrong; Jinn’s mother was the passive sort.

Her smile vanished replaced by a benign expression when she heard her door chime.

Enter” she said her tone conveying little of her mood her brown eyes inscrutable

Aria keyed the door open and stepped through. With three brisk strides the ensign moved to within a pace of the desk and popped to attention. ”Ensign Aria Tyr, reporting as ordered.” She stated with a salute. The padd with her orders held at her side.

Jinn looks Tyr up and down appraising the first member of the Trill race she had the pleasure of observing up close. She doesn't take long before speaking. "At Ease Ensign, I am as you've likely noted Lieutenant Cloudborn and I am easy to get along with so long as I need not give an order twice.

If you are as good as your files show you've done some homework on myself and if they didn't cover the bases I'll fill you in.

I accept honest mistakes but not excuses. If you make mistakes I want them to be learning experiences and not repeated; I see self anger as a defeating mode of thought so don't dwell emotionally. I will not ask you to do more than I myself am capable of unless you are capable of much more then I will ask for more; "We must Test our limits to Know them
"

”Yes Ma’am.” The ensign replied, her stance shifted to one more comfortable to stand in. Aria nodded at her superior’s words, ”My intentions are to give you, and the Captain my best.”

Unable to think of anything else to add that would not mean simply repeating herself she added, “I have yet to bring my belongings on board. If you do not have an assignment for me, I’d like to see to getting that out of the way.”

"Dismissed Ensign your watches will be posted in 15 minutes and not begin for at least 4 more hours" answers Jinn letting the young woman go so she could see the next person in a long line of personal

Ensign Tyr shifted back to attention at the dismissal. Turning she made her way to the door, keying it open she paused. Turning back she said. “Lieutenant, I remembered a quote that I think you should hear. The writer Aasimov said, ”The limits of the possible can only be defined by going beyond them into the impossible.” I look forward to our trip into the impossible.”

Stepping through the door Aria headed for the turbolift, already considering how to layout her quarters.

Billy squatted next his partner, his eyes on the barge. ”If you watch the exit, I’ll board from the water.”

William removed removed his hat and boots. Stripping his shirt off he carefully piled most of his gear on the poncho. Setting his rifle and hat atop the pile Billy tied the poncho into a bag to make it easy for Vicky to carry. Billy gave her an appreciative nod and made his way to the river bank, tomahawk and knife in hand.

Slipping his tomahawk behind his belt, William quietly waded into the water. His eyes watched the water for out of place motion. Reaching the barge safely William pulled himself onto the deck, his eyes seeking movement. He shifted the knife to his left hand and drew his tomahawk scanning the exterior of the barge. The marksman's eyes fell on a bit of canvas tied over a missing panel.

Moving to the side of the missing panel William deftly sliced the rope holding the tarp in place. Carefully he slipped inside, crouching against the wall immediately. Billy waited letting his eyes adjust to the light inside the barge; Scanning the inside he found himself amid a cluster of cots. Creeping along one he examined the barge further; At the far end the marksmen saw what looked like a roughly made wooden cage. Inside it he saw a small cluster of figures huddling together.

The sound of flesh on flesh pulled William’s attention to the other end of the barge. There he saw a group gathered around a fire, and a single figure between him and them near the barge’s entrance. Moving towards the group Billy counted their number to confirm the intelligence the marksmen gathered enroute. As he approached Billy watched as one of the men slapped the woman again.

The marksman had his targets identified, twirling his tomahawk William straightened from his crouch and began trotting towards the fire. The man guarding the entrance turned towards the sound made by the trotting. Billy picked up speed as he passed the man, his left hand darting out. The knife drew first blood slicing through the guards side across his ribs. The man yelped and the others turned towards him.

A step after striking the guard William’s right arm snapped back before whipping forward releasing the tomahawk. The marksman's target caught the weapon in his chest. The man’s revolver slipped from his hand half drawn from the man’s holster. The woman at the fire scurried away from the fight. The man who had slapped her drew the spiked club he carried and moved to intercept their attacker.

William shifted the knife back to his dominant hand. Billy heard the sound of a gunshot from behind him, followed by the impact of a body on the ground. The man with the club glanced over the marksman’s shoulder where the body of his comrade landed. William didn't hesitate his blade flashing out to slash the distracted man’s throat, as the marksman continued past him. William gripped the haft of his tomahawk and pulled the weapon from where it rested.

Raising the weapon Billy put it through first one skull then the other; Eliminating the threat of the dead rising. Turning his eyes to the only other male still breathing, William studied the wounded man. ”Will he live?” The Lasthopian asked the woman. As she nodded Billy pointed the tomahawk at the duke. ”If you want to continue living drop the knife.”

William turned away from the man he had pursued to the barge and smiled at the woman. ”Why don't you go free your friends?” He said gently, even as his tomahawk dripped gore. “If you could find two of you to carry this one back to Arlington, I’d appreciate it.” He finished motioning to the duke.

The woman eyed the marksman cautiously before a glimmer of hope flickered in her eyes at the mention of her home. Retrieving the knife the Duke had dropped, she skirted around William and hurried to the cage door. Billy gave the duke a cold smile, as he pulled the gun belt off a corpse. ”Don't move, don't resist, and we’ll keep you alive as long as we can.”

William moved back to the entrance sheathing his weapons, including his new revolver, and climbed up the ladder; Before he exited Billy stretched his empty hands above him before placing them where they can be seen. Pulling himself up and out Billy waved and then made a circular motion, giving Vicky the all clear. Dropping back inside the marksman leaned against the ladder, watching the women prepare to leave.
