You ever take a look at the forum board, not see anything of ready interest, and decide to just go about your day? Figured I'd see if a new game was interesting, nope, ah well.

Bio
I already did an earlier introduction, but this is something one could always see, so let's roll.
Serene is the pen name that I use over on my old G+ account, which if you're able to find the account before the site shuts down, is Serene Selphia, but no fancy url, lol. But to those I'm close enough to, my nickname is Chris, and if I ask you to not use it, its nothing personal, I'm just not ready for that level of friendliness. That isn't to say I'm not a friendly person, just that I can be a bit professional when it comes to stuff. I've been rping since like...2011 I think? If I could find the Minecraft rp forums I started on(yes those were a thing, it was actually full of good rpers, but all good things come to an end of course), I'd have a precise date.
I roleplay a lot of things, well, that was the old system. About four years back, I settled down in a roleplay community on G+ called Temple of Glory, and began to stick to just one character who I kept working on, using other characters as I felt the need. That was my current primary character's father, a character I'll call the Professor for now, as I intend to post a version of his character sheet later. Probably when doing so wouldn't spoil what became of him in a storyline. Anyway, after a point I burned out as him, and switched focus to his daughter, who I use primarily in the old roleplay hub I come from. The Good Doctor, and here, no spoilers, mostly because ahaha, I'm shy about that.
I love a lot of series, but my heart goes out mainly to Rune Factory, Sonic, Mega Man, Metroid, Mario, Pokemon, and Duel Monsters. Especially Rune Factory and Sonic, though lately I've fostered a love for the Nasuverse, Fate Grand Order is a fun time. I love to read a variety of things, and I'm always online unless sleeping, so feel free to drop me a line if you need it. While I'm relatively new to the site here, I'm an rp veteran, and a skilled writer, as you'll see whenever I post the Doctor's current profile.
Ah right, more on me. I'm a college senior presently, I just had my capstone for my history degree wrapped up, and I'm proud of my progress. While I am a loner by nature(I mean my writing often keeps me trapped in my room to meet paper deadlines), I'm still a sociable person, and if you can't reach me here, my Discord is Serene Selphia#1064. So I suppose that's a bit of a spoiler, but to who, I won't say. Just be forewarned, if you ask me about a character of mine, there's a risk I'll write a lot, so make sure you're totally fine with that.
In terms of roleplay, while I do mainly fantasy/science-fiction, I can roll with just about anything(as far as I know), but if I tell you its not working for me, don't take it personally. I'm a fairly detailed writer, and in terms of style, I'm good with both combat and non-combat related narratives, I mean, my current main was built for combat initially, whereas her father is more the sociable type. The most detailed things tend to when I describe the world around, or when writing profiles for characters I adore. Basically, if I'm in tune or really love something, you could get a lot. I once wrote about twenty pages on a google doc in two hours because I loved it so much. Weird flex sure, but you can understand it. I don't look for much in rp partners, so long as you can write me enough that I understand either what you're doing, or what's going on, I'm usually good. I'll generally drop a line if I need more information.
I love learning, so if you ask me about something, and I don't have an answer, I'll gladly take the time to do at least a basic amount of research. And if you're ever stumped for ideas, drop me a line, I'm always glad to help fellow veterans or the newer folk. Heck, at one point for a friend's group I wrote an entire(albeit unused) document full of random plot ideas for the group drawn from throughout film and video games. Point is, if you need someone to talk to, unless I'm in a bad mood, or its a bad time(aka I'm about to go to bed, or in class), I'm always up for at least a quick chat. I do take commissions, so if you want a fanfiction written, give me a holler, or if you just want a custom story about a character of mine, or just ask for them to give their input on something in a non-serious setting. Still debating what to set prices for, or if I work totally free...I mean I should charge something, but anyways, wew, talk about a ramble, eh?
Thanks for getting back to me, this is all really helpful.
I'll see what I can make, though it might be a hot minute. Since I had an idea, but he's not feasible since no dragons.
Are there any major corporations that act as fronts for villains, and if not, is it possible for a villain that is apped to have a few businesses funding their operations atop support VILE provides?
It took her a few moments after being questioned by her servant for Serene to respond. It wasn't that she hadn't heard Da Vinci, rather that she couldn't bear to tear her vision away from the antics of the adorable Red Pandas. But finally, she tore her eyes away, looking back over to Caster...then past her. Something had caught her eye. "Yeah, that's fine, we should have plenty of time, but hey, Caster, who's that servant?" Serene gestured past her partner, towards Altera, having not noticed the Master just yet. Something about the white hired servant unnerved Serene, and she had no idea why. Despite this, she tried to keep a calm look, as if she was her usual public image...
Admin note: Character language isn't actually Icelandic, but due to its germanic origin, is used as a standin for the character's actual tongue, since I don't know proto-germanic well enough to do it justice.

Race: European Dragon, Unknown Type, possible Hybrid Gender: Female Age: At least 3,500 years old Psychological Profile(Personality) Incredibly aggressive due to language barrier, subject, dubbed "Serene" as an inside joke by other agents, is usually calm when given certain materials, such as TV shows, picture books, or movies. Capable of understanding basic gestures and picture responses, patient should not be spoken to aggressively, and appears best tempered when referred to in a respectful manner. They appear to be very interested in modern science, and when sedate, follow researchers around, in almost "child-like" wonder. However, subject is incredibly intelligent, possibly on par with modern geniuses, and is not be allowed out of sight, due to past prior escape attempts. While uncleared for field activities due to nature, they have been allowed to study crime scene photos, and has shown some degree of helpfulness in regards to magitech and certain organizations.
Background(Character Bio) 1910, Iceland A team of reseachers discover a set of ruins inside of the dormant volcanoes, dating back roughly 3,000 years, based on carbon dating. Icongraphy inside shows information on an unknown civilianization, that appeared to be originally native to Europe, but fled to the island. Further research is halted by the First World War. However, files are later recovered by German Occultists, pointing towards a being of immense magical power residing in the Amazon. The language, pictographical in nature, remains untranslated until the 2000s, following Operation: Feathered Serpent
1950, the Amazon Rainforest Five years after the fall of Nazi Germany, a group of survivors who escaped to Brazil are captured by the government after the survivors are found badly wounded. Military report indicates that they entered the jungle in search of occult power to try and build a Fourth Reich and possibly resurrect Adolf Hitler. However, something drove them mad, and resulted in the death of both several top Nazi officials and their guides. Local tribes refer to a site deep within the Amazon as the "cursed temple," and when asked to depict why, an entity similar to the Feathered Serpent is found. Files are redacted and remain buried until an information breach by a whistlerblower alerts the OIC to a situation in the 90s
1996, the Amazon Rainforest, Operation: Feathered Serpent Following the discovery of files from before the First World War and the Brazil incident, an OIC team is dispatched to the Amazon Rainforest in search of the "Cursed Temple," which is believed to be some sort of Eldritch summoning system. Local screened civilians are used as guides. OIC task force known as "Serpent's Fangs" arrive at the location, and find human remains, both of the Nazi party from 1950, and far older remains which are later carbon dated to range from around 1300 B.C.E. to as late as 1900 C.E. Site is a temple carved from limestone, and appears to be sealed. Examination reveals canisters akin to chemical weapons hidden. Team equips gas masks and suits, and proceed to attempt to undo the seal. Sigils carved into the door are later discovered to be of a Proto-Germanic origin, mixed with an unknown tongue similar to that found in Iceland. Later translation indicates that they are "curses" meant to keep whatever is inside dormant and to keep people out. Door refuses to budge, explosives are used, resulting in a successful breach. Team enters "Cursed Temple," while locals refuse to enter. An antechamber is found inside, containing what appears to strangely resemble a sort of "stone computer," a carved map on the wall shows several other chambers, as well as a shaft leading down at a safe angle. Rooms on main level are cleared, and appear to contain the bodies of a previously unknown cult, as well as European remains that appear to have been torn apart. Markings match talons found on an ancient skeleton in Poland believed to be a type of dragon. Carvings located throughout appear to depict an ancient civilianization that may have ruled over parts of the world, but this cannot be confirmed. The Team advances to the shaft leading further, and one agent triggers a pressure plate by mistake, triggering a spike trap, but which fails due to advanced age. Team descends through shaft, and discover a vault like door, made of stainless steel, suggesting that the temple may have been built atop some sort of previously unknown super advanced civilization, possibly the one previously depicted.
Door is forced open, and team enters, discovering a large vault, containing machinery similar to modern times, but clearly abandoned. Team leader reports a faint layer of dust and an odor akin to a decaying body. In the middle of the room, on a raised panel, behind some sort of "barrier," is a stone chest, akin to that of a Egyptian mummy case. Inside is a sealed metallic container, roughly shaped like that of a humanoid, but what lies inside is unknown. The Team is ordered to remove the casket like object, which is found to weigh less than expected. Post mission examination reveals that the coffin like device is made from an unknown metallic alloy which while lightweight, is incredibly durable. Removal of object triggers defenses, toxic gases(later revealed to be cyanide) flood the chamber, team is unable to leave via entrance, vault doors have sealed shut. Tremors are felt, suggestive of explosive charges being detonated, and an unknown chemical begins to flood in from hidden hatches located ten meters below ground level. A hidden escape route is found in the back of the chamber, and team escapes with cargo, exiting into a metal chamber that slopes slightly down. Shortly after entering, another trap is triggered, a large iron sphere lined with razor sharp spikes is released, chasing the team down the corridor. Sawblades are observed to emerge ahead of the team, killing one Agent, a John Denver, and cutting off the nose of Agent Smith Evans. Team Leader and survivors manage to escape the corridor, which is lined with still more traps, including a floor spike trap and flamethrowers, and find themselves inside of what seems to be a mine shaft leading to the surface. Below them is believed to be a passage that leads to unknown treasures, perhaps even a source of the city of gold myth. Team ascends with package, and is able to safely escape the rising levels of gas. Team is located roughly 200 meters beyond tomb entrance, return to extraction point, and are flown back to a forward base. "Coffin" is transported to the States, and placed into storage at headquarters. Recovery teams are deployed to the site, and recover much of the technology and material remains. Combined with the inscriptions from the Icelandic Ruins, research into the language begins.
1997, OIC Headquarters During routine examination of all files, coffin from Cursed Temple is brought out for tests to be run. Upon exposure to x-rays, researchers are astounded to discover that there is a life form within. Efforts are made to open capsule, but result in death of two researchers due to [REDACTED]. Object is put into high security storage and research into lost civilization is placed on the backburner while research into other projects go ahead.
2015, OIC Headquarters; High Security Storage. Members of a cult believed to be descended from the one discovered at the Cursed Temple attempt to raid OIC HQ, and breach HSS, only to be dispatched by object, which apparently opened upon a word spoken by the cultist leader, who had [REDACTED] occur. Security footage is modified to avoid problems. Security teams secure storage facility, and find the capsule open, the entity detected within now free, huddled within a corner of storage space. Covered in blood, subject wears a skintight outfit made of an unknown bio-organic material, akin to a "environmental" or "pilot" suit. Entity does not respond to attempts to communicate, and turns aggressive when attempted to be removed for study. Two agents are killed, and four more are put into critical care. Tranquilizer gas canisters are forced to be used when attempts to dart reveal subject has skin resistant to such. Once target is subdued, they are collared and moved to research, where a full body scan reveals them to be of "reptilian" origin, bearing scales under the skin, and growths that may be a form of wings, which are now ragged stumps on subject's back, emerging from the suit. Suit resists attempts to remove, and patient is moved to a high security cell until further tests can be run. Multiple escape attempts occur over a period of the next year, and further testing confirms that subject is of "dragonic" origin, after an attempt to capture resulted in the subject breathing fire and producing electrical shocks from hands.
By this time, attempts at translating subject's "tongue" have begun to bear fruit. Files indicate that a formerly hyper advanced reptilian civilization, based in various parts of the globe, existed prior to earliest known historical records. Subject is the currently only known survivor, and appeared to hold onto a relic that was meant to protect Earth. Information indicates that a precursor to the OIC destroyed the civilization around 5000 years ago, and that the presumed parents of "Serene" dubbed so by agents as a joke, were killed around 1,500 B.C.E., and "Serene" fled to the Americas, where they were worshipped as a goddess by the locals, which later became the Feathered Serpent of Olmec, Mayan, and Aztec myth. Around 1,300 B.C.E., ancestors of the cult that attacked Headquarters were able to separate the subject from their relic and using stolen technology, imprisoned entity inside of the Temple, and carved the sigils in a mistaken effort at keeping "Serene" imprisoned, and intruders out. Cult is believed to be behind the ruins in Iceland, perhaps leaving them as a warning to trick others into thinking that the subject was a demonic entity, and thus a threat to the world.
Present Day Subject has seemed to grow less physically aggressive with time. While prone to outbursts and occasional "tantrums" when not given "proper" treatment, there has been no deaths. Two further raids by the cult were made, and subject was allowed to perform [REDACTED], which has proven effective. Subject remains in high profile security cell, but is allowed one hour of movement around the eating area. A diet high in red meats are required to sustain subject's metabolism, and subject, after watching an "anime" has requested that an outfit be made of a character from the show. Research is ongoing to determine if the show was somehow influenced by subject, due to the anime character's 1:1 resemblance. Subject has shown complete control over biomechanical suit, removing it to clean itself, and has begun using cotton clothing to sleep in, and based on rudimentary communication, the subject finds cotton to be comfortable. Due to repeated use of a word when presented with pictures of various meat animals, it is presumed that said word is subject's version of "food" or of "meat." Translation efforts have advanced enough that language is confirmed to be similiar to proto-german tongues, and an intreperator has been assigned to help, a one Doctor Wolfenstein, who is proficient in ancient European languages. Subject is now allowed to act as an "intern," due to their knowledge of ancient times, and may prove essential in understanding ongoing efforts to combat magical and extra-planar threats.

Notes After [REDACTED], subject is not allowed to watch any Nightmare on Elm Street films, due to subject seeming to believe that Freddy Kruger is real. Research is ongoing into possibility that Dream Demons exist, and that some supernatural horrors may be more grounded in reality than previously believed. Subject is also forbidden to watch John Carpenter's The Thing, due to concerns that subject may mistake fictional events for real. However, subject is allowed to watch any horror films that do not deal with supernatural concepts, though all Friday XIII films are considered an exception, due to [REDACTED]. And for gods sake, whoever thought it was a good idea to let her watch Corpse Party is going to be demoted, subject repeatedly expressed fear. For the future, don't show her Japanese Horror, unless we're positive it contains no supernatural entities. Even animated horror is a risk.
However, all Dragonball Series are permitted. Yes, even the parts with demons. Subject appears to understand that the series is "fake" and thus will not attempt to identify supernatural elements. However, don't let her watch Harry Potter.

@LiverisGood@Rune_Alchemist In regards to both your questions, the timing of you two getting involved is up to you. Given everyone in the rp currently is on the same day, in the case of the approaching traveler that Liver plays, you could arrive the day of the hunt, if you're still far enough out. For Alfy, she could go up to her area for something, then come back down and stumble on the team setting out?
I completely understand your concerns, since timing issues are never fun. If the above didn't help, let me know, and I'll see what we can do, alright?
@ All Players
I think I may have already said this, but just incase, some of your secrets may start going into play soon. I won't be saying who of course, but there will be events happening both out at the site of the festival disturbance, and at home here in the village.
I did promise some stuff about a month back and never delivered, and I am sorry for that, hoping to get at least started on it by Weds, as college work has had me focused on day to day.
I already did an earlier introduction, but this is something one could always see, so let's roll.

Anyways, that's about it. I'll probably rewrite this as needed.
Restating ways to reach me as needed!

Doc Rock, signing off, stay gold.
