1000 gallons but I talked about the other stuff already. He can make lances with the water but he cant make a WMD because he can't control tainted water so the amount of chemicals it would need to make an explosive like that couldn't be done by him. The best I can do is make a really big water bubble

That doesn't help me... I mean, if he did not have his remuneration, could he conceivably drown the city? Because, no. He could still drown it and it would be drowned, and at that point whether or not he paid his payment would be irrelevant because everyone else is dead.

Appearance: Prior has longer, sandy blond hair that he wears loosely swept to one side. He has extremely fair skin, a side effect of his British heritage, and cold grey eyes that make one feel as if he is looking through them. He generally wears a black coat over a white button-up shirt, carrying a folded miniature Welsh flag in the jacket's breast pocket. In addition, he wears khaki pants with a black leather belt, to which he has attached a holster to hold his favorite deck of playing cards.

Powers: In short, Prior has the ability to manipulate probabilities. While he does not have full control over probabilities (he cannot, for example, make a 0% chance 100%), but he can make events more or less likely within a certain range. The smaller-scale the event, the larger this range; for example, he can increase the probability of an earthquake occurring across the entire west coast of America far less than he can increase the probability of someone missing their gunshot. In addition, he has commented that he "cannot make any probability 100%", and later elaborated that the highest he can make a probability is 99.8% likelihood of occurring. This means that there is always, no matter how small, a chance that his power simply will not work. In these situations, though, he still must pay his renumeration, as he did technically activate his power.

Renumeration: For every use of his powers, Prior has to shuffle a deck of cards ten times. Because of this, he carries a deck of cards in a holster on his belt. The deck of cards can be any deck; it just has to contain fifty-two objects measuring 2.5 by 3.5 inches in area with the fifty-two patterns seen within a standard deck of cards. Because of this limit, Prior has mixed twelve weighted throwing cards in the deck.

Skills and Abilities: Even without his power, Prior has tremendous aim with his throwing cards, using them as a backup weapon when he does not have time to pay his Renumeration. In addition, Prior has been trained, to an extent, in hand-to-hand combat, but he falls short when compared to many of those who specialize in the art. Finally, though he detests using them, Prior is very skilled in the use of firearms, specifically smaller weapons such as handguns and revolvers.

Weapons and Equipment: As previously mentioned, Prior carries weighted throwing cards, with which he has been shown having excellent aim without his powers. He is capable of using his powers to enhance his aim with these cards to near godlike levels. In addition, his jacket has been reinforced with kevlar, though it is not completely bulletproof due to it being primarily cloth.

Personality: Quiet and distant, Prior is known for being a man of extremely few words. Rarely giving more than the minimum amount of words required to logically answer a question, his silence is often described as "eerie" by those around him. To others, he seems generally unsettling and creepy, and people may tend to avoid him because of this. In his mind, however, Prior is intelligent and calculating, regularly determining the cause and effect of what to do in any situation. He is a brilliant tactician when it is asked of him, though his refusal to speak or involve himself in unnecessary social situations renders this all but useless.

History: Prior was born Joseph Powell Friesen in Melbourne, Australia, fifteen years before the appearance of the Gates. His father was a semi-successful Australian entrepreneur, while his mother was a Welsh socialite from a very wealthy family. His mother's family, the Powells, was known for having made their money in amoral ways, and being generally corrupt. However, from a young age, it was very apparent that Joseph would be the one to clean up the Powell's act, regularly being praised for his large heart and giving spirit.

Then the Gates appeared.

One of the first to be affected by the Gates, Joseph was turned into a Contractor over the course of the twenty-four hours immediately following the Gates' appearance. He began to become quieter, colder, and more reserved, eventually becoming a recluse and rarely leaving his room. His parents became concerned about him, and eventually contacted a psychologist to speak to him. It was around this time that the existence of Contractors became known to the world, and so the psychologist immediately deduced Joseph's nature when he entered the boy's room and saw objects organized perfectly in places no human could reach, such as a Mona Lisa made entirely of thumbtacks on Joseph's ceiling. The psychologist revealed to Joseph's parents that their son was a contractor and, within two days, Joseph was abducted by the Australian government and made an agent of ASIS.

In ASIS, Joseph was given the code-name "Zeroth", a term that refers to an object in a list that comes before that list's first object. He was given this name because he was made a Contractor before any of ASIS's existing hired Contractors, though was hired second. Eventually, for unknown reasons, he left ASIS and took the codename "Prior", moving to Japan immediately afterwards. He since has began fleeing from the group that is hunting the Contractors while also trying to discover what he can about the Gates.

Appearance: Shiba has short dark hair but he has bright green eyes and he has a medium build. Shiba has light brown skin and a scar on his left shoulder and wears a gold necklace around his neck with an angel insignia on it.

Powers: water manipulation, However while Shiba is able to manipulate he can only manipulate pure or semi pure water. Shiba is able to control a bottle holding only water in it but he cant control water in the body or water that is to tainted by other chemicals like oil. Shiba is best able to utilize rain water for this very reason.

Remuneration: burn a body part in hot water if the ability is used for to long then he is required to sit in a boiling hot bath for a certain amount of time depending on how long he has used his ability and to what degree

Skills and Abilities: Shiba is able to use any amount of water and use it as his weapon if he wanted to he could turn a bottle of water into a grenade or some rain into a spear to skewer with his greatest ability is of adaptation to each situation that he is presented with. However when he goes into a homicidal rage from his adrenaline surging through his body he is a relentless attacker and wont stop till his target is dead.

Weapons and Equipment: a pair of knuckle dusters and a bottle of water

Personality: Shiba is a pessimist and has gone cold to the world although he understands how everyone feels he doesn't really seem to care. Shiba went through the change into becoming a contractor when he hit puberty so he still remembers what he used to be to those he left behind back home. Shiba is also known to be an analyst and likes to play chess, one of the few liberties he was able to keep despite changing his personality all those years ago. While shiba is a logical person as most contractors are he does have a dark side that he has to keep under guard. Shiba will sometimes go into a homicidal rage whenever he is a stressing situation or in a very hard battle for his life, his fight instincts go into overdrive during these fights and he will abandon reason to simply kill the target in front of him.

History: Shiba was a normal child at one point, he was just like any other kid playing and having fun with others but soon after his 14th birthday shiba slowly started to discover his power of water manipulation. Shiba soon started to become distant to everyone else and started to seem more pessimistic then usual unfortunately at that time he was thought to be clinically depressed which let bullies roam in to take whatever they wanted from him but Shiba wouldn't stand for it and before he even knew what had happened he had killed them. They may not have been nice people but they didn't deserve to die, needless to say after that Shiba left home to try and find wherever he could and take whatever job would hire him.

Much like Mao in the series, Kou possess animals, preferably cats, and uses her size to advantage to follow criminals in almost any pocket-sized area on their body or handbags and distract them with her rapid strikes of her claws and sharp cat fangs for her allies to defeat. In addition to the high similarity like Mao, she can send intel through telepathy no matter if Contractors, Moratoriums, and Dolls aren't at face value.

Kou always has a sunny disposition and she is frequent in the language of sarcasm and being goofy despite the line of work she does. She is also very sentimental and does get attached to the people she works with even if they're not on her team; she's quite the empath which is unlike for a cat because they're normally detached and cold.

Oh, and she's definitely a stalker.

HISTORY:

Kou was a dedicated high school student who passed her exit high school exams with flying colors, receiving a scholarship for her lab work in Chemistry to attend a university in Australia for two years. Her parents were born in Hokkaido and grew up on their farm along with her three other sisters, her being the middle child. For better opportunities, she and her sister lived together in an apartment complex and the boiler room exploded on a Sunday night, their condo being closer to the area, it quickly lit up and Kou and her sister, Aoki, burned to death but somehow Kou's consciousness was still intact and along came a mysterious Contractor just minutes after she witnessed Aoki burn until her last breath.

When she awoke, she had first possessed the body of a miniature dog and went off to fend for herself, having many owners until she became comfortable in her new form, hosting over a dying cat which is the specific cat she has been possessing for over many years, seven to be exact, but the cat's age will forever remain at two.

I can't accept this just yet. To what extent can he manipulate water? Additionally, your personality section is... Very bland. It reads like "Generic Contractor #4766". Try to make the personality more distinct.

"Well, I'd say I'm a solid 9/10. I do think these things are a bit too big...but well, I blame my mother."

Appearance:
Kaede is a rather attractive woman of above average height standing at roughly five foot seven. She has short cut hair that she likes keeping very neat and tidy. Indeed, most of the time she has a tendency to give off an air of sophistication and refinement, and uses that charisma to the best of her abilities. The fact she tends to wear fashionable vests and suits even when she's not working tends to help with this image. She has extremely blond hair, that almost appears white in some lights. She has grey eyes, and more often than not, you can find her smiling a friendly smile to most people.

Despite her overall feminine appearance, she is in fact quite strong as well. The vests and long pants tend to cover a well toned body, that is quite used to doing some less than reputable actions and physical activity.

"Ever see someone liquefy from the inside after drinking acid? No? You should, its quite fun."

Powers:
Kaede's ability, is able to turn most, if not all liquids into some form of corrosive substance. Now, she can't just immediately turn all liquids in the area into some form of acid. She has to be quite close to the liquid for her to do it. Within a few feet. The strength of the acid doesn't seem to be variable, meaning she can't control how strong it is. It is always the same strength - and its strong enough to eat through human tissue quite quickly.

As far as metal and other things - it can eat through metal, though how quick it does so depends on the strength of the metal itself. However, it doesn't appear she is able to turn certain things into a corrosive substance. Blood, for example - for whatever reason, she is unable to use it. And of course, the acid will also harm her, should she also come into contact with it so she has to be quite careful. Small amounts won't cause too much damage other than a small burning sensation, but anything higher can literally melt someones face off.

Remuneration:
Her payment is quite simple really:
Consuming large amount of alcohol, until she is in fact, drunk. Not a bad payment all things considered. Though, she does hate being drunk. Since y'know, hangovers are a bitch.

Skills and Abilities:

Combat Skills
She makes sure to stay in mostly top-shape, so she's no slouch in a fight even if her abilities aren't entirely suited for direct combat.
-Decent hand-to-hand skills.
-Seems to be quite agile and a bit of an acrobat - able to swiftly, unseen and silently.
-Has fairly accurate aim with throwing small objects, such as knives and other things. Like vials of acid.

Weapons and Equipment:
-She carries around vials of water with her, tucked into her vest and other garments. Obviously used for combative purposes. How many does she have? Well, a woman can get very creative with hiding places...
-She wears gloves that have been specifically designed to resist corrosive substances when on the job. Its not going to stop it completely - just slow it down.

Personality:
Of course, like with all contractors, she is quite logical and quite the tactician. About par for the course with most contractors, and usually acts on her own self interests. That said, the rumor that all contractors don't have emotions is completely false. She does in fact, have emotions like most other contractors.

She is rather friendly most of the time and most people immediately like her. This makes her secondary job as a hostess and bartender at an upscale club quite easy, most of the time considering any difficult customers find themselves quite charmed by her. Not to mention, if they cause trouble they will get forcibly evicted by her...and considering her slight sadistic streak, she will definitely do it and take her time enjoying it.

That said, her friendly and refined attitude, while not a front or an act, she does have a slightly darker personality. Which involves a slight sadistic streak, and great enjoyment out of her actual job...which is not exactly as refined as the rest of her life. What is this job? Well, lets just say...you want someone gone, she can get rid of them. Permanently. She's not affiliated with any major group, but more of a freelancer who takes care of any 'problem' no matter how difficult. Ever see someone melt from the inside out before? No? Its fun, you should try it.

History:
Kaede, as far as she knows was born a Contractor - though her abilities didn't start manifesting full when she was around seven or eight - around the same time her little sister Marise was born. (It was kind of funny figuring out how the eight year old got drunk) Of course, being the cute little kid that she was, she was able to put on an act fairly early on and no one was the wiser that she had the abilities of a contractor. Growing up, she had a fairly easy life and didn't really start using her abilities seriously until later on.

In fact, she was always a rather popular girl. She excelled in almost all school subjects, and even was the president of all her classes....except for the last year she attended high school, when she was 18. The day her parents were killed.

Despite being a contractor, it did in fact affect her quite deeply. Her little sister even more so. So much, that she dropped out of school and started picking up various jobs. She was quite interested in working for the police for a time...after all, with her...unique set of skills, she was fairly certain she'd be pretty good at the job.

Well, that was until she got a call from a rather odd man introducing himself as an interested party in hunting down the people who killed her parents. It was more blackmail, really. He'd keep her abilities as a contractor quiet if she helped him. He said he'd make sure she got paid enough to continue sending her sister to highschool, and cover other expenses. Considering her little sister and she herself, simply wanting to be more or less left alone, she begrudgingly took the offer, but not before letting him know...that she would find him, and kill him if he so much as breathed a word to anyone.

It took her two years and quite a few lives on her hands before she found the one responsible. Another contractor. Getting to him was rather easy - the sleazy man thought he was getting quite a night of fun with her, but ended up liquefying from the inside out after drinking a glass of cheap alcohol.

Afterwards, the man who had set her on this path (she still never found out who that was) finally said their deal was up, and she could go back to her normal life if she wanted too. For about six months, she did just that. During her time as an assassin, she made quite a few friends and landed a job at a upscale club.

...and then, a request for her skills came in the form of a phone call - plus a rather hefty payment should she accept.

She could have very well said no...but, well, where would the fun in that be? By now, she had grown a bit bored and welcomed a change of pace.

Marise is rather tall and lanky - definitely not on the attractive side in any way, unlike her sister who as she puts it 'got everything in the gene's department.' Her most defining feature she thinks, is her extremely pale skin. (though, really, its a bit of a hassle considering she never tans. Just burns. A lot.) She has two light blue eyes, along with shoulder length hair. As far as fashion goes, she is completely at loss about it - and often wears whatever she wants too, often arranging it in some half-hazard fashion. Her school uniform is usually a complete mess - though she doesn't particularly care.

Powers:
...does being extremely bad at social interactions count as a power? Okay, maybe not that bad but she doesn't like talking to people.

Skills and Abilities:
- is actually rather talented at computery things. Also hacking. (don't tell anyone.)
- Breaking and Entering? She's your girl. Can crack a lock on something quite easily if its not some super advanced lock or something.
- Parkour? Parkour. Despite being lanky and tall, she's rather athletic. Running is quite easy for her as well.
- A bit of an artist. She finds painting quite fun. (Though, she uses it for Graffiti more than anything. What? It's art.)

Personality:
Unlike her sister, Marise isn't a social butterfly or all that popular. In fact, she's the quiet kid in the back of class no one remembers or speaks to that much. Though, on occasion someone will talk to her - or offer to do something or help her with school work considering her grades aren't exactly much to brag about.

She's rather bad at talking to people, and more often than not ends up putting her foot in her mouth in some way. Sometimes, she'll even say something quite insulting and be quite oblivious to what she even said. Really, she tries to be perfectly friendly sometimes, but always comes off as a bit odd in the end, if not somewhat cold or aloof due to her recent attempts in trying to actually think before speaking...which could lead to some misunderstandings.

That said, she's a bit of a rebel under that quiet exterior. She likes to go out late at night and find a nice old building somewhere or alley and just paint all over the wall. Also has experience with breaking into places. (She's not a thief, though.) She just likes seeing if she can, in fact, break into some place. Fortunately, she has yet to get caught.

History:
What's there to say about Marise? Well, she's basically your less than average school student, currently in her final year of schooling before she either goes to a university somewhere (yeah, right) or tries and gets a job. Her history isn't exactly that remarkable.

She grew up with her sister, Kaede. She doesn't recall much about her parents, other than the fact they were quite kind people - she was just twelve when they were killed in what she believes to be an accident. She doesn't remember much, other than the fact that it changed Kaede quite a bit. she dropped out of school, and started taking odd jobs around. Marise may not exactly be book-smart, but she knows her sister is probably up to something less than reputable. There's no way working at some high-class bar or whatever could ever pay enough for them to live comfortably.

Still, she has never pried. If only because she doesn't care. Hey, free food. Currently, its her last year of school. She's probably going to try and get into some field involving computers or electronics. Despite her rebellious nature though, she doesn't like seeing people get hurt, and would probably try to help someone in trouble if she thought she could.

Hmm...quesiton.

I don't think in the series it's ever stated how contractors are created, yes? It's been awhile since I've watched it, so I could be way off.

Would it be possible for a human to become a contractor later? I do know Hei wasn't originally one, but I'm a bit fuzzy on the details since I last watched/read this in highschool xP

just asking, because depending on the answer one of my characters will be starting out as a regular human. Might become a contractor later, dunno yet really, but it could be a thing.
