Btw, Kayleth meant "witch" as a term for "female who uses magic that is generally considered bad(the magic being bad)." Referring to the fact that she can summons shadows n' shit.
All around Kayleth were the sounds of chaos. People yelling. Screaming. The screech of bats. She felt her heart rate spur from it all, But she maintained her composure. Letting ones emotions run you in times of havoc turned you into a beast. Either a berserk bull who charges in with reckless abandon, or a bleating sheep herding towards sudden doom. The strength of sentient beings were their ability to think. Any old dog can just feel its way through life. So she set her brain to work.

"If I were trying to weaken a group that's gathered to stop my plans, the first thing I'd do is split them up." And Everyone had fallen for it, hook, line and sinker. Even the woman who came in spewing prophecies. Perhaps she was in truth the Jeltheor that she had just warned the group about. She looked up the road, Durin had already left several seconds ago to join the orc, witch, swordsman and psychic. She giggled under her breath before following suit. This was certainly not how she had pictured spending her Tuesday.

Vaeri stood back and watched Shela talk to her friend blankly. Her ear felt kind of weird. Maybe a bug got in it. Not a lot happened. She didn't know this city and she wasn't about to split the party to try looking for an inn and potentially get lost from the rest of the group forever.
"I agree with the brute," a slightly-out-of-breath gruff voice chimed in. Behind the Red was Durin, accompanied by Kayleth, both of them slightly covered in sweat. About 10 minutes into waiting, Kayleth realized that Isabeau never actually said where everyone was going to meet. The next 20 minutes were spent with Durin running around tracking where The Red had gone.

"If we're going to have to kill a bunch o' demons, don't matter who stands beside us. In battle it matters more that you have someone beside you than if he really wants to be there. An' speaking in riddles don't make you sound smarter than you are."

Like I double checked to make sure I didn't actually miss everyone leaving. Nope. Still hasn't been 30 minutes.

Vaeri rode out the three days of travel mostly in silence. Sure, it was worrying that nobody else turned up and Lob didn't seem to be very comfortable with the fact that his tracking wasn't turning up any results, either positive or negative even after 3 days, but there wasn't anything she could do but rest her faith in the gods to clear this up. She would pray, but ultimately, her survival skills would not really help out, especially since Lob never really had trouble keeping a good grasp on the scent of Sana.

Vaeri took in a breath of sea air, the first she had had in about half a decade. The sea was nice, but not really her thing. It was too large, chaotic and blank for her to have a connection with it like she did the forest. Deserts and Plains may also be similarly expansive and unchanging, but they were not quite as much at the mercy of weather that oceans were. Perhaps she just preferred dry land.

"Who wouldn't take up the offer of food and rest?"
@knighthawk Maybe it's just Uranium.
Hey, just thought I'd let you know that I'm gonna remove Zoe from the group. Not really interested at this point in juggling two characters, and she hasn't really interacted much anyway. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Yeah, I'm probably going to do the same with Kazuo.
