Garuda's Hive

The Sith Task force consisted only of the Dark Lord and several commandos under the guise of black cloaks. To appear even less incognito the small group had spread itself apart arriving at various locations in the city. The city was larger even in person and the population was significantly denser than anticipated. As the Sith task force navigated throughout the city streets, taking note of various landmarks and personal it became obvious that perhaps the Galactic Center was far more populated than anticipated. For all the smugglers and criminals that can be seen wandering the streets, there was enough civilians from various parts of the galaxy that really set the tone that people rather live on these remote, crime ridden planets than live in the war zones they originally came from.

Due to the relaxed atmosphere that Dragos allowed in a mission like this a single commando commented "It's as if they took Mos Eisley from Tatooine and dropped it off here." Dragos couldn't help but agree, the similarity was unquestionable. "Be aware of your surroundings, turns out we just stumbled on to a Hutt controlled city. Garuda's gang call it Paradise, locals call it Garuda's Hive" Another commando stated, informing his comrades.

"I thought the Hutts were too fat and lazy to move"

"You've seen Nar Shadda, why share a shit hole with your competitors when you could thrive in your shit hole away from everyone"

Dragos remained quiet, not minding the chatter between his commandos until an individual caught his attention with the individual immediately recognizing the Dark Lord. Dragos pressed the comlink by his ear "I've found something. Don't make contact with me unless it's an emergency, Dragos out." As Dragos ended his communication, the brown cloaked individual stepped forward to greet the Sith.

"Ah Lord Dragos... I knew we would meet again, what took you so long?" The Jedi stopped just short in front of the Sith. Dragos stared back at the individual across from him, the tension between them building as for a moment they both silently debated on taking their chances on igniting their weapon and striking the first blow.

"Master Kavar... I wasn't expecting you to be here."

"Hmm, of course... come, let's go for a drink I'm thirsty" The Jedi replied. The sudden change in Kavar's behavior caused the Sith Lord to be wary but as Kavar walked towards a nearby cantina, the Sith relaxed sensing the Jedi truly did intend to talk.

The pair found themselves a corner, isolated from the majority of the crowd. The music was loud and various alien species talked and cursed amongst themselves or at each other. The pair sat in silence, eyes locked before Kavar alas offered the opening words "You look well. I almost forgot what you looked like underneath that helmet of yours, did you lose it?" Ah yes, a quick jab by the Jedi.

Dragos scoffed at his witty comment "It didn't seem appropriate to wear it. People tend to recognize Sith Lords"

"Perhaps, but not here in the Galactic Center, I've seen all sorts of wild shit and after seeing what I've seen and hearing what I've heard, nobody in this part of the galaxy cares about no damn Sith Lord"

"Is that so?"

"Yup. I've heard of about this fanatical group of aliens who will set a planet on fire just for the hell of it or there's this one group, feminine in appearance but their warriors are among the very elite. From what I hear they would give even our best commando units quite the match" Dragos again scoffed at Kavar's comments. Feeling he wasn't being taken seriously Kavar insisted on continuing. "How about..."

"So which one of them attacked your ship" Dragos interjected not wanting to hear anymore about what lay beyond Imperial territory.

"Is this a joke?" Kavar's tone deepened as the mood soured, "A Sith Vengeance Class Dreadnought attacks us and I'm suppose to believe you had no idea?"

"There were no Imperial ships in the area when your ship attacked."

"I know my Imperial ships, I know what attacked us. If you really didn't know, then it seems there are some Imperials that won't even answer to you" The statement irked the Sith Lord however...

"Lord Dragos." Suddenly a message was incoming from the Sith's comlink. The Sith Lord opted to ignore the very comment but the other line insisted. "Lord Dragos, come in."

"What is it trooper?" Dragos questioned.

"Sir, the locals are starting to get a little antsy... and it's not because of us. They think something is coming" Dragos didn't reply as his attention focused on the veteran Jedi who smirked noting Dragos facial expressions no matter how subtle. "Yeah, you feel it too don't you... something is coming"

New York, New York

6:00 P.M

__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
"Good evening everyone, my name is Brian Williams host of New York's Evening News. It's been 3 months since the "Superman" incident right here, in our very city. Earlier this month, Hub's City Lady Arcana gave the people an insightful interview on who she is and her story. Many people ought to call her a hero, I agree. Our very own Superman however? Well...take a look for yourself"

The images of the news host changed and played the various cell phone video recordings simply known as "The Superman Incident". Most of the videos were shaky but there was a common imagine, the sight of a black caped individual soaring through the eyes at incredible speeds towards what seemed to be flashes of light on the ground. Every once in a while the caped hero would dash at the ground, throwing punches or failed attempts to tackle and grab at the light. The speed and power projected from the hero was incredible but so was the damages. The ground shook, the skies roared... it was if an earthquake was shaking New York apart.

Brian appeared back on the television speaking on queue "These images are disturbing. But they don't paint the whole picture. Perhaps first hand accounts of witnesses will help"

Once more the images shifted and instead playing host to a variety of individuals being interviewed shortly after the incident took place.

"He's vulgar! You saw him right? Comes out of nowhere, makes a big scene and starts talking all this junk to the television trying to be some big shot? And then what does he do? he starts chasing some other freak and starts putting everyone in danger!"

"I mean yeah I think he's alright... he's dangerous but I think he's alright. I mean, uh... I don't know it was like a scene out of a movie but all the flying and stuff, yeah that was real, pretty spooky to be honest"

"He DESTROYED my building! You saw that right? Whatever he was chasing simply dashed through some open door and out the other side, I don't know but than this moron flies THROUGH the building. Can you believe that? He flew THROUGH the building like there was nothing there. I'm tellin ya, I'm glad nobody got hurt but what type of 'hero' does that kind of thing!"

"You know for a moment, I liked him. Sure he had some vulgarity but he sounded like a genuine good guy who wanted to do the right thing. He had this great smile, he was tall and handsome... he really looked like someone you could believe in you know? And then I don't know... I think he means well but I don't know, I think we all have the right to feel a little scared"

As Brian spoke his last piece, the cameras instead never returned to him, instead all they did was survey the various aftermath images of the incident.

"Is he a hero, or a criminal? People remain skeptical. What we can agree on is that the man who calls himself Superman is dangerous. Our efforts to contact the White House to see if they had any information on the Superman have fallen in vain. It seems ladies and gentlemen in an age of uncertainty, we are forced to come to grips that they are beings out there that cannot be controlled...

Superman we know you are out there. If you are watching, the world wants to know... who are you? Why are you here?"

Uncle Mike sneered at the television and turned it off, uttering "Pricks" as he took a long sip of his beer. Ever since the chase, since his official unveiling, John had been in complete hiding. He rarely went out and when he did, it was brief. New York was crazy about his story, the idea of some sort of super being with incredible speed and power living right here, somewhere in the city amazed but terrified people. With a deep sigh Joe lifted himself of the couch and headed towards the backyard where he saw his nephew just stand there, eyes to the sky in complete contemplation.

"Having a good time?" Mike cracked, trying to get a reaction from his nephew but John didn't budge. John knew his uncle had to watch the little television special on him but Joe knew that John was listening to the whole thing.

"I was close. Real close." John replied.

"You sound more disappointed about not catching the guy instead about feeling sorry about the shit you actually did" Mike shot back stepping towards his nephew.

"They were all accidents." The response from John caused Mike to grit his teeth.

"Yeah but people got hurt John. What was it? Millions in damages throughout the East Coast? You put on a hell of a show sure but people could have died." There was frustration, disappointment. Joe didn't mean to give his nephew anymore unnecessary shit but he felt almost compelled to do so after being visibly reminded of just how destructive John could be.

John clenched his fist for a moment in anger at his uncle's words but he knew his uncle was right. "Alright so I was a bit reckless." John's voice remained casual and his decision to purposely not look at Joe was gradually infuriating the smaller man.

"Bit reckless? John you were stupid" Mike's voice voice considerably. After several moments of silence and a deep breath, he continued "Look you may not be the fastest like that one guy and you may not be charming like that Lady Arcana or whatever, but you definitely got some sort of special strength to ya. Look at the world we live in, these weird meta-whatevers are appearing and yet in a way, you stand out from them. But while people are cheering for some of them, you represented everything people are scared off... that if you wanted too, there was nothing we could do to stop you." This time it seemed like a plea. An honest attempt to reach someone.

John was quiet for several moments before turning to face his uncle, a fire in his eyes and a slight change in posture that made all the difference. Standing tall and confident John locked eyes with Joe and with a slight intensity to his voice declared "I'll make things right. I heard what's been happening with the gangs. The Mob, Triads...people are dying out there. I can stop that"

"John..."

"What would you have me do uncle? I have to make amends somehow. Helping old ladies cross the street or saving cats from trees ain't going to cut it. All those other heroes out there, I can do what they do. I just... I'll be more careful" John sounded genuine sure but not perhaps not convincing enough.

"John we all saw your little fight. You swung at nothing, grabbed and threw at nothing. If you wanted too you could have ripped the city apart and this was all because some sort of super speedster may you look stupid. The way he danced outside your reach, humiliated you. I couldn't see it but I know your movements and I knew what was happening. You really think your gonna keep your cool when entire gangs are shooting at you?"

"I'm not a bad guy uncle. I'll make things right, I promise." John paused and looked in the direction of the city. The focus in his eyes intensified as if John was attempting to listen in on something in the distance. Within moments John raced towards the shed and emerged, wearing the Kryptonian black suit. It's been 3 months since he wore it, 3 months since he's appeared in the public eye. With the sound of thunder emitting around Brooklyn, Superman had taken off towards New York city towards what sounded to be like gunfire...
@Sierra Sounds great, thanks!
<Snipped quote by Sierra>

On the ground I agree to an extent. Asari would be ridiculous in squad on squad action. However when heavy weapons and vehicles come out they tend to enjoy giving the enemy territory then picking them off as they take over. Could work depending on how strong both forces are since like 5 commandos made over a hundred people surrender at one point.

Yeah in space its different since if we go with Legends Star Wars then the Asari are done due to limited protection against DEWs. Of course they could do their old strat against the Reapers by just jumping in with their ftl, blow something up then leave. Rinse and Repeat until everything's dead or the enemy is too frustrated to stay. Then again I'm positive the GM doesn't want space combat to be like that in this. In any case we know non of us can instagib anyone's capital ships anyway due to the rules.

Just so we are clear, capital shits aren't invincible or anything its just I figured nobody wants to argue about whose capital ships are "superior" and who should be beating who simply because lore says so.
It was suppose to be a backwater planet of no importance and yet it in it's orbit, the largest assembled fleets of both the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic faced off. Hundreds of ships on both sides of various sizes had their weapons primed to fire at an order's notice. At the center of Imperial Fleet, the Invincible easily defined by its gargantuan size stood as a symbol of Imperial might. At the ship's command bridge, Dragos stared off at his opponent. This was supposed to be his greatest victory but instead, he was playing body guard to diplomats who intended to see the war meet it's end.

"So Lord Dragos you really intend to stay aboard your ship?" Grand Moff Tarkin questioned. Tarkin was an elderly man but still incredibly sharp and professional in appearance. If Dragos was the Emperor's right, Tarkin was his left, a master of politics and people.

"The Emperor has robbed me of our... my victory. We had the Republic on the run, the majority of their fleet has been smashed, in just a few more weeks.." Dragos replied, he didn't bother to face the Grand Moff. Dragos respected Tarkin for his intellectual ability but even he was surprised when Tarkin informed Dragos that the Emperor offered the Republic terms of peace. The war would end, the Sith ideally victorious but the Republic still had fight left in them though it seems their agreement to the peace would only allow the Republic to perhaps catch its breath.

"May I remind you Lord Dragos, that our Emperor has enabled us. There will be time to destroy the Republic entirely, eventually though the Emperor has other matters on hand." Tarkin's sharp eyes narrowed at the taller, armored man. Tarkin would not be alone, he would travel with several others members of the Dark Councils though it was rather unprofessional that the Sith's most succesful commander would refuse to join the negoitations.

"He overestimates their potential.." Dragos shot back, his voice projecting to be darker and more intimidating due to the dark helmet he wore.

"The Emperor needs you, he will need all of us in the wars to come. The Emperor's spies insist that more and more the rumored Galactic Center shall become a priority for all factions throughout the galaxy. In time we will encounter new enemies and we must be prepared to face them. The Republic is already defeated Lord Dragos and since you won't be convinced, I shall go planet side and make our victory final. Remember my place my lord, the Emperor wants to go through, without failure." Tarkin warned as he walked of the bridge. Tarkin was one of a very few people in the Empire that wasn't intimated by the Dark Lord. Knowing there would be no retaliation, Tarkin made his out leaving the Sith Lord to brood.

Within the Galactic Center
Planet nicknamed: Aurora

This was just over a year ago and now the Sith Lord was facing the reality that the Emperor perhaps had been right to focus on other places in the galaxy. The Republic despite its massive losses still possessed a military presence to at least delay and inflict heavy casualties on the Empire. With the peace treaty the Empire focused on rearming and rebuilding its military as preparations to investigate the Galactic Center had taken away. Now, the Sith and his small group of men were landing planet side on the desert planet, nicknamed Aurora. Dragos awake from his brief sleep, his mind having reflected on the past and the circumstances that lead him to this planet. As the ship opened up and Dragos was free to finally step out, he was rather unimpressed with the view.

Aurora was mostly desert with pockets of civilization. The Sith task force had landed on the outskirts of a nearby city when a foreign transmission was picked up...

"Sir take a look at this" An Imperial stated, catching Dragos attention. The message from the Covenant had spread quickly through the Galactic Center. With no formal government, the various inhabitants of the star system had their qualms. Was it a true? Perhaps nothing more than false threats? "Shall we inform the fleet?" A trooper questioned as the Sith conveyed over this recent development.

"No, not yet." Dragos replied, having turned his attention away from the transmission and towards the city in the distance. "We have mission to do, we'll worry about the Covenant, IF they arrive" Dragos replied, urging his men to start moving. Despite his bravado, the Sith had a certain intensity in his movements. He had heard vague rumors about the Covenant, he knew that the threat real and time was running out to seek out their prey. It also seemed likely that Covenant possibly knew about the Empire and it was best to keep hidden unless they were discovered as stealth was their weapon.

As the Sith closed in on the planet reality had hit... they were no longer in friendly territory and they were now about to be introduced to all sorts of different beings from across the stars.
@Zetsuko Yeah not a problem. I was hoping initially that the initial engagements wont be too crazy at least for now. Just want everyone to get a decent foundation but don't worry

@Thecrash20 All good, no worries
@Raknarion accepted, looks great! I look forward to seeing the Covenant in action
@Burning Kitty if you make a profile for the UNSC their history is yours, you have priority because you came first. Should someone make the Covenant later on they have to abide to your history if they want to include the UNSC

@Dead Cruiser well considering the existing factions have not interacted previously I dont see the problem. The galaxy is a large place, each faction having their own previous issues. It just so happens things are set in motion for them to meet
Outskirts of Imperial territory

At the edge of Imperial space a lone abandoned ship floated about aimlessly. It’s once sleek white hull was riddled with various holes, the ship itself barely holding itself together to the point that any sort of external force would have ripped the whole thing apart instantly. In the vastness of space it would have likely drifted like this for eternity but the abandoned ship was not alone as a massive fleet of warships gradually approached from the distance.

Leading the fleet of Imperial Class Star Destroyers was none other than the Imperial Starfleet's flagship, the Invincible. Its incredible size dwarfed even the mile long escorts by a significant amount. At the very front of the dagger shaped warship lay a super laser powerful enough to annihilate capital ships, space stations and even planetary shields. It was fitting that the Imperial's most powerful warship lay in the hands of its most accomplished military commander, the Sith Lord Dragos. The fleet having closed in on it’s target proceeded to come to a pause as several circular droid probes emerged from the Imperial fleet and proceeded to enter the ruined vessel.
________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Darth Dragos stood at the center of the bridge; arms folded his eyes focused completely on the foreign ship. He had never seen this type of ship before, perhaps it was smugglers or an experiential Republic cruiser, either way he would have his answers. "Lord Dragos" A voice called out as an Imperial General approached.

"General Veers" Dragos said in reply, turning to the general who bowed at the Sith's acknowledgement.

"The probes are scanning the ship as we speak, their reports will come in shortly", the Sith simply nodded in accordance. “I assume you understand the significance of this investigation?”

“Of course my Lord”

The investigation had taken some time but luckily for the Imperials the pressure was non existent. The veteran crew members of this particular ship prided themselves in being the best but this confidence partially existed due to the fact that Dragos wasn't one to lash out and violently killed a subordinate out of boredom or lack of patience. Dragos however paced back and forth waiting with a certain anxious energy until he was summoned towards the back of the bridge towards a large circular table which was projecting the first person view of one of the probe droids.

"Found something?" The Sith questioned.

"There is extensive damage all throughout the ship. No signs of its crew and we are still unable to identify the ship"

"And none of ours are claiming responsibility?"

"No sir... hold on something is coming" A small alert emitted from the table as the general worked to retrieve it. Within moments a second holographic image appeared on the table taking the form of a map. "These are... hyperspace coordinates. The ship came from Republic territory and it was making its way back towards... the Galactic Center"

"It seems the Republic has found some friends.” Dragos stated.

“Shall we move to the fleet towards the coordinates?” The officer questioned leaving Dragos to ponder on the decision. After a brief pause Dragos turned towards the bridge’s exit.

“No. I’ll take a small task force and head towards the coordinates myself. I doubt the entire crew perished, any survivors will have head there.”

“My lord…” The general was a bit taken back at Dragos eagerness to investigate, especially without the fleet’s backing but the Sith Lord had already made up his mind. “Those coordinates lead to the planet to what some smugglers have nicknamed Aurora. An interesting name considering most of the planet consists of deserts and pockets of civilization. Surely crime infested.” Dragos took several steps stopping just short of the exit.

“If I brought the fleet, the entire galaxy center will be aware of my presence. It’s best to keep the fleet here especially if this is a diversion. I won’t be long.”

The general nodded having no choice but to accept his commander’s decision though he felt compelled to fit in one last question “And should the Emperor make contact…”

“He won’t.” Dragos replied, this time fully committed towards the main hanger.
