Again the historical accuracy in this RP isn't suppose to be accurate, I've indicated that just because something had happened initially in a previous canon lore doesn't mean it happened here, it all depends on who is controlling who and they decide how and what happened. Sure if there was someone claiming the UNSC and another person the Covenant then maybe there's a problem.
Considering neither have been claimed if you wanted to go in and claim the Covenant and have your history indicate the Covenant had wiped out the humans entirely, that's perfectly fine unless someone comes in saying they want to make the UNSC their faction.

Welcome to Galactic Conquest!
THE STORY SO FAR
In a galaxy with unprecedented size has birthed numerous advanced space faring civilizations. While many have interacted either through war or trading, many civilizations have remained foreign to one another, perhaps only hearing of one’s existence through rumors or merchants who have traveled one end of the galaxy to the other. Because of the galaxy’s sheer size and almost seemingly numerous star systems, it also seemed like a foreign thought to actually want to travel the galaxy even with how advanced space travelling has come until now.
Regardless of your civilization’s history, what’s rumored to be the “Galactic Center” has always been a neutral and foreign place. While several small settlements have been established they compare nothing to the empires one could find in the various corners of the galaxy. For space travelers who dare travel to the galactic center speak of worlds with limited law and order and without a dominant force to keep things in check making the Galactic Center a perfect place for smugglers, criminals to hide out. Many refugees have also made the Galactic Center their own, escaping from whatever war consumed region they come from.
For countless years the Galactic Center has always been just another region of space with little value until now. For whatever reason, the Galactic Center has become a prime target for the various space empires to investigate and possibly take for their own and the threat of complete Galactic War has suddenly become very real.
GUIDELINES:
Setting: This is NOT a multiverse RP. Everything that is to take place, or has taken place has all happened in the same galaxy. Because of this galaxy's immense size, the factions in this RP will have limited interaction and limited knowledge of each other until now.
Plot: Your faction or if you choose to play a singular individual has just received information that the largely unexplored unknown region of space that has separated the factions has become important due to your choosing. Perhaps your faction is chasing a renegade band of rebels? Perhaps your faction seeks to recover ancient artifacts? While the RP won't solely take place in these territories, it will initially just for the sole purpose of having people encounter and interact with one another.
Magic Use: Magic is possible but its too be limited. If someone wants to play an alien species that can control fire, I'm all for it unless it gets to the point they start conjuring giant firestorms that swallow entire armies. The Force from Star Wars or Biotics from Mass Effect for example will fall under this category
Weapons/Metals/Etc: Each faction will have their own unique weapons and metals and so forth but there is no absolute, single best unstoppable weapon. Every faction will be able to affect each faction but lets also have some logic even if this RP is mostly sci-fi. A regular stick no matter what is not going to pierce a starship's hull that was designed to withstand plasma cannons
Teleportation: I'm all for portals/hyperspace/slipspace but again it needs to be handled properly. Because of the vastness of space, high speed travel is necessary for factions to be able to travel great distances but at the same time if people start pulling "All of a sudden Admiral X has 100 warships to appear behind Admiral Y Fleet with absolute no warning" we are going to have a problem.
Rules:
1. No random one shoting, killing people's character without permission. Simple enough
2. In regards to post length and how often, I'm going to be casual about this though I do want to see a reasonable effort that indicates interest
3. In regards to combat situation as they are bound to be plenty, I'm again leaving a lot of power in the hands of the players but lets be reasonable again even if this is sci-fi for example... a small snub fighter regardless of payload is not going to take on a 10 mile long warship by itself and win
4. Super Weapons are going to be a no for now. As it stands, I intend for massive capital ships to be the absolute peak in terms of military strength at the moment. While size isn't everything, size does indicate a certain amount of strength and while they may be the strongest in terms of possessing the most firepower, this means their slow speed, lack of ability to use stealth does give them vulnerabilities.
Eventually assuming things are going well, I like the idea of plots revolving around stopping a Death Star or assaulting High Charity or preventing Halo Arrays from being activated should a Halo faction exist... but for now, we will keep these stories on hold.
5. There are no invincible, resource unlimited factions. There are also no singular all powerful characters, everyone has limits
6. In regards to character creation you can create your own character, your own faction etc or you can take an existing one and put your spin to it HOWEVER be mindful of your history as they will deviate from films, movies, books etc depending on whose controlling the faction for example
Suppose player X wants to play Master Chief aka Spartan 117, his character's history will be dependent on player Y who has taken charge of the UNSC. If player Y decides that the events of Halo 4 or the Battle of Reach has not taken place player X must acknowledge this and adjust accordingly.
I'm also open for people to create their own ships, weapons, etc even if non existent in the previous lore but it has to make sense. The Galactic Empire developing a new super star destroyer? makes sense. The UNSC making a dance till your head explodes music gun? No.
7. This is not a competition, this for fun. While people may have their opinions on "who would actually win" this RP is not about that. I want to be flexible and relaxed so people can explore their imaginations and make stories of their own but please don't abuse this certain freedom.

@Assallya I didn't include this because I wanted to see how it would play out but in the event there are multiple factions requiring an Earth, I would just have the different factions refer to "Earth" in a different name. I know it seems lazy but for instance we had the user of the UNSC simply substitute Earth for Reach as their home world.

Ever wonder what would happen if Star Wars shared the same universe as Halo? Mass Effect? STar Trek? Well this the RP to explore such possible interactions
Considering this is an interest check I am open to suggestions though for the most part I'm taking what has worked for this RP on a different site and attempting to bring it on here so while things are capable of being changed, more or less this is it. If you read through this whole thing, congrats to you and hopefully I have your interest. When I was apart of this RP on another site, we had all sorts of different factions. We had people take control of the Flood from Halo and the Reapers from ME. We've had individual characters play the role of a Predator from AVP hunt down Halo inspired Spartans or someone playing a General Grevious who was in absolute control of his Separatist empire.
Personally I intend to use a Sith Lord that is apart of a Sith Empire based of the original Galactic Empire. Again if you are confused just remember that history can be rewritten and I'm not forcing anyone to base their histories based on previous "canon" lore.

“Stupid kids” Mike murmured as he shook his head in disappointment as he took a long sip from his morning coffee. The middle age man lay slouched in his sofa as he raised his remote preparing to change the channel when the sounds of the front door of the house opened leaving the man to take a peek. “Hey Johnny that you?” he pondered out loud.
“Yeah, morning uncle” John replied, strolling through the front door as he took a glance at the television and raised an eyebrow. “I thought you hated the news” he commented.
“Yeah well someone apparently made some trouble at the museum. Sounds more like some publicity stunt bullshit” Mike shrugged and once again raised the remote preparing to change the channel till John suddenly compelled him to stop. “Wait!” The sudden urgency in John’s voice was rather drastic “What? Did I do something?”
John stepped forward and his eyes focused on the television, as the news replayed the cameras surveillance. Nothing particularly stood out but John remained intent on staring at the television. “The hell is wrong with you kid? You see a pretty girl or something?” Mike questioned laughing to himself not seeing anything unusual.
“No. Someone was there. He’s fast, really fast.” John replied, his voice dropped almost as if he was in disbelief. Nobody could be that fast and he himself had trouble seeing it but there was no doubt there was someone or something there.
“Oh don’t give me that bull shit.” Mike rolled his eyes and started racing through the channels looking to find anything of interest, not believing in any of this news crap before he heard the backdoor open up. “Hey Johnny what the hell you just got home?” Mike tried to take a look from his position before he cursed to himself in annoyance as he lifted himself of the sofa and headed through the open door that lead to the backyard.
“Ah shit.” Mike commented as he saw John standing there having switched into the mysterious black suit they took from the spacecraft wreckage. “Just what the hell do you think you are doing?”
“Whoever that guy was, I’m going to find him and I’m going to bring the goggles back.” John replied with a shrug. “Are you stupid, Johnny there was nothing there, you are seeing shit that ain’t there” John ignored his uncle as he stretched his neck and rotated his shoulders in preparation for take off. Mike was suddenly fixed with anxiety, realizing that John had every intention of doing this. “Woah wait wait, Johnny wait. Ok maybe you saw something, but that doesn’t mean your gonna find him. Look New York is way too big, you’ll never…”
“Uncle, you saw the news and the type of the guy he is.” John replied, his smirk never having left. “He’s my type of guy”
Mike shot back with a rather confused look. “He’s a showoff uncle. And you know what pisses of show offs? When a bigger show off comes along. He’ll come to me, and I’ll bring him in”
“Johnny that has to be the stupidest fuc-“
“Keep your eyes on the news uncle! They are going to be talking about this one until the new year!” John gave a quick wink before in an instant he rocked off the sky, the sheer force of the acceleration nearly knocking Mike off his feet as the area around him echoed as if a gun shot went off. Mike looked around inspecting himself as if to make sure he was still alive. “I think I just pissed myself…”

Suddenly a thud echoed on the set as a tall caped figure slowly landed from the open roof setup and stood behind the sports reporters who could only look behind them in complete shock. John gazed around real quick, inspecting the area knowing full well he was in full camera view exposing himself. The Kyryptonian could hear the various whispers of the audience in complete confusion which was fine because he had everybody's attention.
“I always wanted to be the show, thanks for having me” John stated but the joke did nothing to unerve the crowd as the Kryptonian focused his attention at the center camera man. “We’re live right? Ok good” John stared dead ahead into the camera lens with a certain competitive intensity.
“Hey asshole” John began. He paused for a moment to gather his thoughts before letting his mind flow freely, oozing with confidence as he attempted to speak as naturally as possible “Yeah I’m talking about you, the dickhead from the Museum. You thought you were real slick, thinking nobody saw you. Well guess what? I did and you got 5 minutes to return those goggles otherwise I’m coming for your ass.”
“A-A-and who are you..?” John turned to the stuttering sports reporter to his left. “Me?” John said outloud before turning towards the camera again. “I’m…" John's mind was racing, searching for any sort of answer. As John felt people tune in, curious on the response, John couldn't help but reply with "Superman”.

“Stupid kids” Mike murmured as he shook his head in disappointment as he took a long sip from his morning coffee. The middle age man lay slouched in his sofa as he raised his remote preparing to change the channel when the sounds of the front door of the house opened leaving the man to take a peek. “Hey Johnny that you?” he pondered out loud.
“Yeah, morning uncle” John replied, strolling through the front door as he took a glance at the television and raised an eyebrow. “I thought you hated the news” he commented.
“Yeah well someone apparently made some trouble at the museum. Sounds more like some publicity stunt bullshit” Mike shrugged and once again raised the remote preparing to change the channel till John suddenly compelled him to stop. “Wait!” The sudden urgency in John’s voice was rather drastic “What? Did I do something?”
John stepped forward and his eyes focused on the television, as the news replayed the cameras surveillance. Nothing particularly stood out but John remained intent on staring at the television. “The hell is wrong with you kid? You see a pretty girl or something?” Mike questioned laughing to himself not seeing anything unusual.
“No. Someone was there. He’s fast, really fast.” John replied, his voice dropped almost as if he was in disbelief. Nobody could be that fast and he himself had trouble seeing it but there was no doubt there was someone or something there.
“Oh don’t give me that bull shit.” Mike rolled his eyes and started racing through the channels looking to find anything of interest, not believing in any of this news crap before he heard the backdoor open up. “Hey Johnny what the hell you just got home?” Mike tried to take a look from his position before he cursed to himself in annoyance as he lifted himself of the sofa and headed through the open door that lead to the backyard.
“Ah shit.” Mike commented as he saw John standing there having switched into the mysterious black suit they took from the spacecraft wreckage. “Just what the hell do you think you are doing?”
“Whoever that guy was, I’m going to find him and I’m going to bring the goggles back.” John replied with a shrug. “Are you stupid, Johnny there was nothing there, you are seeing shit that ain’t there” John ignored his uncle as he stretched his neck and rotated his shoulders in preparation for take off. Mike was suddenly fixed with anxiety, realizing that John had every intention of doing this. “Woah wait wait, Johnny wait. Ok maybe you saw something, but that doesn’t mean your gonna find him. Look New York is way too big, you’ll never…”
“Uncle, you saw the news and the type of the guy he is.” John replied, his smirk never having left. “He’s my type of guy”
Mike shot back with a rather confused look. “He’s a showoff uncle. And you know what pisses of show offs? When a bigger show off comes along. He’ll come to me, and I’ll bring him in”

“Keep your eyes on the news uncle! They are going to be talking about this one until the new year!” John gave a quick wink before in an instant he rocked off the sky, the sheer force of the acceleration nearly knocking Mike off his feet as the area around him echoed as if a gun shot went off.
