Harry Potter: The Foreign Exchange (Wolf Lover and EasilyAmused)

“I’m glad the school has been welcoming.” Zander responded with a bright smile as he listened to her talk about her time so far at Hogwarts. Hogwarts was its own beast and some people can or can’t handle it. It seems like she was getting along through her time well and that made him give her an honest and happy smile.

“Nothing really interesting for me so far but I was looking ahead to see what we would be dealing with in Herbology and it sounds like we’re going to be working with the Venomous Tentacula. So be careful, they’re grabby.” He said giving a mocking grab with his hands before chuckling. “I’m sure you’ll be fine I’m sure.” Once they reached the moving staircase and started to go down, he pointed out a few of the paintings and shares some stories behind the people who were in them that related to Hogwarts history. As a Ravenclaw it should come as no surprise that this information was something he had but it seemed to surprise a few passing students that he was sharing it. Maybe he was just a jock after all.

Once they reached the exit of the school, he pulled the door open and let her out first before following her. Once outside they started towards the Herbology area, however the more people they passed the more whispers they heard. So instead, he decided to fill the time with some more chit chat. “During the weekends, students have the option to go to a town just outside of Hogwarts called ‘Hogsmeade’. It has shops were you can purchase things, a few restaurants, a place to get some drinks and treats. Do you think that would be something you’d be interested in doing?”

“Yes Pancakes. Batter fried goodness pancakes.” Alex called out in response to her questioning about food. A smile moved across his face as she opened the door and when it slammed shut in his face, he busted out laughing. This was nothing new, in fact that were dorm mates for a long time so having a door slammed in his face from an angry redhead was nothing new for him. By the second time she had opened the door to exit, he had disappeared from the door and ventured back into the kitchen.

Picking up a plate he plopped some butter on the pancake and began to eat without the syrup. He was eating as his roommate stumbled around in an attempt to gather herself together. A chuckle left the blonde as she finally settled down with her golden snitch. “150 points to the Kiera house and that ends the game.” He made cheering noises as he teased her until she sat down.

A nod rose and fell his head as she thanked him. “You’re welcome. I’m just so excited!” Of course, he never told her his father ran the hospital and she didn’t know much about it but that was okay. They were going to study under some of the best doctors in New York City. “I’m excited to tour the hospital and see how everything is laid out! Man I hope it’s better than the hospital I interned at in New Jersey.” His whole body shivered at the thought of dealing with the jersey folks again. “Oh never again… never ever again!”

Laughing softly he cut a piece of the pancake and took a generous bite before finishing and asking, “You ready to make the world a better place?”

When he said he wasn’t sick she let out a sigh of relief. “Oh good.” Her caring kind nature had taken over and her worry filled her because she didn’t want anything bad to happen to anyone; especially Jack. Pulling the rag back from his face she pulled it from her hand and began to fold it before her phone buzzed. “Oh!” She said excitedly. Sending a quick text in response she got to her feet. “Your mom wants me to join them for dinner before the show so I’m going to head out.” She gave hugs to the other members of the band except for Robert who she gave a polite handshake and Larry received the same response as she didn’t know him as well as the rest before giving Jack a longer-then-normal hug before leaving, having the last scent that she knew be Jacks.

Finishing up Alex she shooed him out of the seat before bringing Jack over. Pulling out a comb she began to work on his hair. “Look Mr. Stacera, I know you’ve known Adriana for a long time but… now that she’s an adult she’s different. Not different in a bad way but different in an Addie kinda way.” She explained as she ran the comb through his hair releasing all the tangles. “She is looking to find someone she can spend the rest of her life with and… she’s really picky. But so am I.” Her head rose and fell with a nod.

“As anyone in this room would be protective of you, I am protective of Addie and don’t bother dodging it, you’re in love with her. I can see it when you look at her. Don’t worry; I’m not one to meddle in someone’s love life. I’m not stupid. But I will tell you this,” She pulled the comb from his hair and picked up a bottle of hairspray. “You break her heart, I break your legs.” Her tone was sweet and kind which just made her choice of words all the more threatening. With that she covered his eyes and sprayed his hair.

“I’ve known her since you’ve been gone. Do you want some tips? Or have any questions? This will probably be the only time we can talk without her around.”
