Bristle focused on the lesson eagerly, words were easy to understand, abusive amounts of physical exercise less so. He found the idea of colors interesting, he wondered what kind of color he had. Bristle'd been focusing a little to much on making the sphere than noting what color it was. Then the fire and brimstone speech again. It'd seem like trying anything with magic had a chance of eternal damning them and their soul if they weren't careful. Oh well, could be worse. Maybe. Probably? Regardless he repeated the key points of the lecture in his head to help remember them, he would learn everything he could about magic, how else would he get good at it.

Sol screamed inwardly in rage as his sword hit just nearly off course and he was promptly hit with a blow harder than anything he'd ever felt before. As he literally flew through the air from the force of the blow he did a overview of his condition. Frankly he was surprised his shoulder was still attached, even if just barely. Certainly unusable and as for the rest of his body it was surprisingly dysfunctional given the location he'd received the blow. He could barely move anything and even that may have been an illusion caused by his flight. That was all Sol had the time to think through before he become unconscious from the strain of the battle.

Sol Windblade

"Well then I thank you for that." said cordially as ever as he waited for his opponents next move. Then Sol nearly did a double take as he realized the weapon, and most of the floor, was coming towards him without a man behind it. As the man wasn't in his peripherals he could only conclude that the axeman was behind him. Which left him to evaluate his threats. Blocking the axe was impossible, with the rotation speed and fatigue he already had the axe would tear through his defense and leave him vulnerable to the doubtless incoming attack from behind besides. That narrowed it down to dealing with the man himself, there was no way he could block man's attack with his body and only possible with his sword, once again leaving himself unable to defend from the axe.

Then it seemed it was do or die time. Letting out a fierce yell Sol turned away from the axe and rushed to the man behind him. As he turned he found the man's fist already plummeting towards towards his head at this point. That meant the man must've been aiming for his spine or neck given their positions now. Regardless he considered his next move in a matter of moments between moments. He had one last chance to score a blow. It must be lethal as possible, stomach? Too slow a death. Throat? Too risky as well as too awkward to reach. The heart? Most dangerous point to strike in least amount of time with most strength.

Sol shifted his body to the side as he moved forward, not enough to move out of the way, but now the man's fist would hit his shoulder instead of anything more vital. On the other hand Sol's sword lunged directly where the man's heart if he had a normal human anatomy, which admittedly wasn't guaranteed. But with no more time to consider and death getting closer every second Sol committed to the thrust that would decide the battle. He knew the man would hit his shoulder with most likely bone-shattering force and the axe would hit at nearly the same time. Oh well, either's Sol's sword would find it's target or he would be defeated then and there. Maybe even both. At least he knew he had passed his exam regardless and more importantly had a good fight.

History: Arnold was born somewhere in northern California. Not the northern California with the nice beaches and stuff but in the real northern California with the mountains and rivers and forests. Bright kid from the get go. Talking and walking a few years earlier then he most babes. With a collage professor for a dad and a judge for a mom it was bound to rub off on him. He grew up in a nice small town where rumors spread faster than wildfire and were twice as dangerous. Still he enjoyed it, his brains and strange eyes quickly made a group of friends. Once high school started up a few buddies of his encouraged him to play football. Figuring, why not, he tried out and found out he had asthma. Really bad once it started. Enough so that playing sports wasn't really an option, much to Arnold's disappointment. Still high school was fun, classes were easy, and life was good. Arnold was used to getting what he wanted and being smarter than everyone else. Though he doesn't flaunt it, he does know it. His first few years of collage were much of the same, teacher's loved him and his grades were exceptional. Life is boring right now, Arnold wants something more challenging but doesn't know where to find it.
