Shalla, The Undying God-King of the Mountains and Valleys
• Realm of an Undying Nephilim, who believes that only heavenly law can bring forth a new paradise. Likewise that he can redeem himself in the eyes of god, by bringing order back into a sinful, burning world and restore virtue.
• His realm itself is an totalitaran hellhole, filled with slave-mines, plantations and proto-forges. The "heavenly Law" is streched and corrupted by the "men of his voice", a broken system of burocracy based around the Cult of Shalla and the "heavenly Law", which is enforced absolutly abitrary by the "men of his voice" and the clique of decadent burocrat-priests
• Shalla himself is in total self-denial and believes that this is a harmonious and peaceful realm, just and noble in the eyes of god.
@gorgenmast I am game. Just to check with you, since I am sure I could pull some either biblical or otherwise mythological justification out of my ass:
- Do other gods exisit? And if yes, to what extend to they influence the world of man?
- Are there just men, or also other races? Like the neanderthal and the likes...

@Andreyich I agree with you on that. Personally I think it gives the map its own charm, and the ammount of continents, gives enough room to world build, while avoiding the prevelent Mega-Continent that is so dominant in other maps. As the GM I reserve myself the final say on that matter, but if a reasonable alternative is brought in early in the planning stage of the rp, I am open to have my mind be changed
@Andreyich Sounds like a good idea for a faction. How the power blocs developed and how the history of all nations are, will be discussed in a Discord, where i will put heavy focus on collabs and interconnected nations and history
I do quite like the map and would prefer to keep it. But you are right about the scale, i might increase the size of the continents to something more earth like
@LordZell Sound very good! Being a major power would mean being inside a power bloc, but they are far from an absolute united mass. Internal political troubles are expected and encouraged for the players to create.
I am going to reuse my old Zengrav nation, so China might already exist as an insperation on the map.
The Global War was 10 years ago, when the powerblocks of now went to war. Nations were conquered, countries invaded and millions died. Think a mixture of WW1 and WW2. It ended with the development of the atomic bomb (They are called superbombs in this setting) and seven recorded military uses. Keep in mind, that these bombs were equal in power to the ones used in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Devastating, but not MAD level of destruction.
Indeed. The whole theme of this rp, is the new order of the world, with all countries having played some role in the global war.
@CleanBreeze The leaders of all powerblocks ARE nuclear powers. Others can also become nuclear powers during the RP (After a reasonable build up IC. There will be no game mechanics behind it)
Yes, MAD is a major theme of this rp, and the looming threat of it. This rp can go nuclear and maybe it should
@LordZell Taking some minor insperations from former rps, I am open to discuss with my players how these power-blocs will look. The basse idea is, that the global war was a war to break the status quo in this world, and establish a new order. There can be two or even three power blocks in this conflict, who´s make up is yet to be decided
@DX3214 Nuclear power and superbombs! ICBMS are yet in development, but nuclear power is the key to modern economic development in this world.
A NRP that is driven by espionage, politics and the constant threat of the end of the world. Massive Power blocks of a new order face of against each other, while the few remaining neutral countries try to remain indepedent.
- Players either play a member of a power-bloc or an indepedent nation - All nations have been affected by the great war, some more then others - The looming threat of the world ending power of the super-bombs is a major theme of this rp - All major powers have occupied/liberated satilied states under their control - Only major powers have superbombs - The technology level is the IRL equivialent of the early 50s - There have been seven recorded military uses of Superbombs
With Feather, Ink and the Atomic Bomb
The global war, the deadliest conflict in this worlds history, is over! Ten years has passed since the peace of Buthan has been signed, and the old world has been offcially burried. A new order has risen from the ash, a world in which global power blocks, ready their weapons, for a war, they all know, nobody can win.
All sides have declared themselves winner of global war, holding onto countries taken, "liberted" or regained. Puppet goverments, Juntas and provisinal democraties are just as fragile now, as the occupation zones in the years of the gobal war. Spies from all sides, lay waiting, ready to serve their side, in the new era of warfare, all sides know, is about to begin.
Yet, there are still these very few nations, that have not picked a side in the great struggle of ideological blocs. Neutrality, five minutes before midnight, is a dangerous game.
Rules
This is a story driven RP, a united effort to create an intresting tale of a cold-war esque world, five minutes before midnight
Communication is the key! Talk to your other players when you build your nation and be open to all kinds of feedback
The creation of NPC nations as satilites or minor players inside power blocs is HEAVILY encouraged!
Lore is open to changes and input from the players, with the GM having final say
