Current Peace is a Lie, there is only Passion. Through Passion, I gain Strength. Through Strength, I gain Power. Through Power, I gain Victory. Through Victory, My Chains are Broken. The Force Shall Free Me.

indeed. If we should ever close up the RP (which is highly unlikely), we will make sure its clearly marked as closed. Also... If anyone feels up to it, we do have a coGM slot or two open. All we'd ask is that you help out and are willing to be a bit non-budging in decisions. We got another RP we'd also like to relaunch, but simply can't do it without neglecting this one to such degree that it will not work as it should, and that will simply not do.

Having a tag request thread should be sufficient. We realized one set of tags that would be very useful now... Open and closed. To say whether an rp is possible to join.

Maybe a thread down in the bugs/suggestions section dedicated to determining tags? Oh, and will you have means for seeing level of use on various tags? If we eventually get to the point where there are dozens of tags, having them all visible at the same time might be cluttering, so it might be ideal to have them sorted by how often they are used. Or by sub-categories. Lots of tags would be grouped under say, fandom. Also, will RPs have a limit on number of tags for a single rp? And what will happen if someone abuses tags to make their rp more visible?
Of course you can,@Kangutso. Fair enough,@Teknonick.

heh. That made us laugh, @Mahz. You can't satisfy everyone, so why not go for a cliché? People really shouldn't need to have every version of the term fantasy defined for them. If they need that, they can ask someone for it.
That depends on what we feel like at the time. Its a nice experiment in a collab to have one player use first person while the other(s) write third person. But its a challenging thing to do right. More than one player writing in first person in a single post is messy, though.

@La Inquisidora Deleting PMs is actually a more complex system than one would think. They are essentially forum threads with restricted access. When deleting a PM, what you would really be doing is remove yourself from the access list to said thread. Only after all people who once had access to said thread has "deleted" it, would they truly be open for deletion. What @Mahz is planning there is to have the system check every now and then for conversations like that (once the access removal system is coded in, of course). We're fairly sure this will also be coded when he codes the stuff for adding people to a pre-existing PM thread. @Mahz Discovered something that might need fixing on the @mention buttons. No matter where you are in a prospective post, pressing the button will put the @mention text at the end of the post. Putting it where the text marker is instead would make said button even better.

the definition for high and low fantasy as with how commonplace and/or understood magic is can be a good one. but there's no single definition that'll cover the entire genre.
Here's a quick review of the CS, [@Technonick]. Name: Looks ok. Which lingual root have you picked for the name? Try to stick to a single root for all of Kalnach. Age: acceptable. Gender: acceptable. Faction: Will be interesting to see interpretation. acceptable. Relic Description: Sorry, but no. Relics bond to a single user, and don’t jump about. they don’t half-select someone. They are also locked to a single size. They can’t change shape/size. The only exception to this rule is for shapeshifters, where the relic might become fairly imperceptible when the evoker is in its non-human form. For GMing reasons, we need to have some idea of its powers, but it does not have to be known IC. The other players here won’t abuse OoC knowledge IC. Especially if you make it clear that its not readily apparent to others IC. Also, relics aren’t actually sentient. They have a sort of will of their own, but they don’t have a sentient mind. They can affect things and people around them subtly (and sometimes, not so subtly), but they can’t speak. Once a relic has “decided” something, it is cast in stone. Nothing will change that decision, especially not human will or whims. We’d suggest giving it some abilities that make sure that she has to rebel a bit against the restrictions of Kalnachi society. Appearance: Appearance is ok, but not the misc items. Clockworks is not something that has been developed yet, let alone evolved to the point where pocket watches can be crafted. Also, dragons don’t exist in this world. As such, dragon symbology is kinda unfitting. Nice to see how the clothes fit fairly well with how clothes were more or less in the middle ages. Flaws: Your flaws can be challenging to play out right, but not impossible if you’re up to it. Skills: Just because Kalnachi women are fairly subjugated, it does not mean they are without skills. If anything, it takes more skill to be anything in such a society as a woman. Also, while there are several gods believed in by the various nations, none of them can currently prove their god(s) are real. Biography: Kalnach and Othea are separate nations. The Kalnachi religion isn’t seen much outside Kalnach, and its priesthood is all homegrown. Othea, which its not as imbalanced as Kalnach is gender-wise, doesn’t have equal rights. Its simply that the Kalnachi women barely have any rights at all. Kalnachi women are just a few, but significant, steps above slaves. They can’t own property, don’t have much of any say in society and their position in society hinges on that of their male relatives or husband. Also, in medieval societies, trades tend often to be inherited. You have not really described what her husband’s trade was, nor anything on why it failed. Nor why her family’s trading failed. We would suggest finding a reason for them to be in Othea, as that is where current events are. Personality: This is acceptable. Relations: The goal of the relations section is primarily to cover how your character relates to other character, not to characters created for your bio. Final Point - Secrets: The purpose behind secrets is things you want the GM(s) to know about your character, that you may or may not want other players to know about. If you want it secret from other players, this can be covered in a PM.
The lizard couldn't comprehend what was happening. One moment, it was doing its job, feasting as it had been instructed. The next, things were fighting back. At first, they had no success. Then suddenly the creature could feel the gnats fighting back get organized, as if they suddenly had a leader. Even worse, they seemed to know how to harm it. It could vaguely hear how someone shouted about belly. Moments later, the lizard screeched in pain as something sharp penetrated its softer belly. It tried to slash out at the source of the pain, but could not seem to find anything to strike. Then the pain was even worse. Some sort of nasty-metal cut straight through its right foreleg, removing the wonderful claws! It a frenzied screech of agony, staring momentarily at the severed claws and the dripping of its precious blood. Wherever it struck the sand, it smoked. Before the lizard could even react, countless rocks started pelting it. pained, injured and shocked as it was, the lizard could not resist long. Digging its remaining claws into the ground did not give enough purchase, the rocks kept pushing it back. When its hind legs were back at the emergence, the lizard realized it had no choice. The opposition was too strong here. It leaped into the hole, hoping to find somewhere to rest up and heal, then emerge elsewhere. If possible. The only consolation, it felt, was that before the two-legs fought back, it had bitten lots of two-legs. If nothing else, many more would die. Its job had not failed completely. It hated the two-legs. All they brought was pain. They weren't even particularly good eating. Too much bone, too little meat. ------ Angie watched helplessly as the others fought the lizard creature. She could feel the hatred permeating the air, even if the lizards thoughts, thankfully, could not be heard. It was too different. Canines were much nicer, she decided. Standing at the edge of the tall balcony, she idly scratched her back, watching the proceedings below. She couldn't help. She didn't know how to fight, let alone wield anything more dangerous than a belt knife. After seeing how even swords bounced off the foul-smelling lizard's hide, she had resolutely shoved her small knife back into its sheath. As quickly as it had started, the fight stopped. Some evoker pushed the lizard back into the hole it came out of, then dropped big rocks into the hole, sealing it. Following the guidance of the Kalesian soldiers escorting the embassy staff, she passed by where healers were treating some of the lizard's still-living victims. She broke away for a moment, looking at the wound on one that had been bitten in the right leg. A grown woman. She leaned down, sniffing deeply. "Dirty! Unclean!" she exclaimed in the momentary break between the woman's anguished screams as a healer tried to bandage it. Others around glared, staring as much at her as at the woman. Knowing she was unwelcome, Angie retreated back into the group escorting the embassy staff. She didn't care overmuch about the woman, but knew well that unless they thoroughly cleaned that woman's injury, she would be dead within a fortnight. Possibly even sooner. Angie's back one again itched. She scratched at it more and thought she could feel tiny hairs beneath her clothes. It was almost as if she'd changed even more in the few hours since the morning bath. She didn't know for sure, but thought that her fingernails looked even more like tiny claws now. They were more pointed, sharper. Maybe even a little darker. She didn't understand why. The area outside the arena was chaotic. The peace and organization of the morning was all but gone. Screams of agony and mourning could be heard all around. She wondered who could possibly do something like this, who could wish others such harm. Surely no sane man or woman would want this.
