And by extension of your point, using language at all is as bad as swearing because what one person considers a swear others might not. Take piss for example.

I feel like this post was cut off. Anyways, the whole point about having a villain who doesn't care at all is to show that they don't care at all. For them to use "replacement words" makes them seem contradictory. Plus, from time to time, when the need arises, I'll quote people and actually say the curse they used in whatever they said, since quoting isn't using your own words.

You can write the lie someone says without lying, but you can't write the swear someone says without swearing. The way I have always seen it is through the fact that swearing doesn't seem intimidating or even intelligent. Villains can come up

Just asking, because we've all written characters who've killed before. I've written some that steal, we've all written liars, and I'm even writing an alcoholic right now. Having characters swear would be nothing in comparison to pretty much all of that, save lying, which can be argued.

No, but there's a difference. One describes an action and another is doing it. Because words themselves are a part of language, you cannot go through the thought process of writing them without the actual "action" itself being a part of you. I can think about a murder without being a murderer. I can think about a liar without being a liar. I can't think of and reasonably portray someone who swears without swearing because of the fact that it utilizes language itself. If I have a character that would swear (Misty, really), I just put that as an action symbol with the word "Swears" as the action.

Cause i like to use less offensive words like frick and crap in place of the worse end ones.
But i'll try to use those minimally then, since they could still be considered cuss words.

I don't think any of us would really feel very uncomfortable with that; I use the latter myself on occasion, though not often. I do appreciate your consideration, though.
