Apparently the salt had been of some help as after he poured it on the werewolf/Soul’s head, it seemed as the werewolf regained some measure of control, screaming for the spirit to get out. Leval could not sense the assistance that the female mage had given with her own abilities since she had reached out mentally, otherwise he would have thanked her. Soul exited the body and apologized for the action stating that was completely accidental. This mollified his anger at the spirit somewhat, but he still raised a warning finger to Soul.

”Soul, never do that to a being with its own will again. None of the students or their companions here. That is a massive violation of another person.”

Leval turned around to check on Shela as well as to figure out what the music he heard was coming from. A scene straight of a Disney movie hit his eyes. More than a hundred people and animals in fine decor or obviously enslaved met his eyes, juxtaposed with the singing and dancing of the guards. However, what attracted his attention was Shela being knocked down roughly to the ground by one of the guards. She had fallen awkwardly and was in danger of being trampled to death by the approaching horde. Leval reacted without further thought. He slammed the bottom of his staff into the ground at a heavy slant, then with a brief mental command extended his staff forward at a lightning fast speed. He kept hold with one hand, clinging to the staff as he rocketed forward to the girl. Using his momentum, he used his free hand to scoop both Shela and her lizard. With another mental command, his staff resumed its normal size, shrinking as fast as it had extended. He rolled forward using his arms to protect girl from the environment and danger.

His momentum and rolling allowed to move past the large horde of people, avoiding a very painful death by trampling. However, his head scraped up against a rock as he moved, tearing a large gash into his forehead above his right eye. He stopped rolling forward, gently placing the girl on the ground and checking for any injuries. "Are you alright??" As he checked her. A princely figure strolled out, clothed in splendor, threatening the group if he did not see the headmaster quickly.

Already upset from Soul’s actions, Leval's adrenaline had moved into overtime as well as his sense of indignation. He rose taking a few steps away from Shela, standing in front of her to shield her from any further harm. He rose his staff into the air with one hand, spinning it in his fingers three times, before slamming the hook of the staff into the ground. Countless invisible threads of magic burst out of the end of the staff reaching the Prince and entourage shifting the appearance of all. The golden camels now appeared emaciated beast with rough patchy fur, the peacocks resembled and sounded like wild turkeys, the slaves were now clothes in the clothes of nobles, while the guards wore nothing but undergarments and dirt, the white clean monkeys now grey and covered in filth. As for the prince, Leval cast the weave of his illusion to change the princes fine clothes into that the slaves had worn. In addition, he appeared to be covered in a brown substance that smelled of elephant feces. Leval leaned against his staff, breathing heavily from the magic, having emptied out near his entire mana reserve for the major Weave.
@EchoicChamber I dont think there is any issue if you post up again really
@AbandonedIntel Just keep throwing salt at things- its worked for me so far.
@RoccanIronclad Game Die-Off Syndrome is a real issue that we all deal with. But now for the low monthly fee of $14.99 per month you can donate to research about how to cure this intolerable condition.
@PharaohAtem is Lunar gonna get rid of Soul?
@Prosaic mwhahaha soon you will all be salted!
@The One Leval would not like that very much. He is gonna need to read up on Spirit Lore it seems.
Sounds good. @The One
@The One Posted. Salt was literally the only thing Leval had would've had that could help. Even if it doesn't work at least Leval has made a new enemy in Lunar for possibly covering her in salt!

Soul appeared to be listening, which was difficult to tell in his current form. It was possible that he was going to respond, however, a large wolf ran past him, slipped on the ice that Soul left, and kept going. A loud thud sound came from the trees distracting Leval as he stared for a brief moment. He turned back to resume his conversation with the ghostly being, and found no trace of the being.

"...Soul?"

A female humanoid, proclaiming her identity as a werewolf walked out and stopped stiffened and radiated amazement that she could talk. Leval raised an eyebrow as she began to sing and dance. Leval glanced from the missing location where Soul had been and the singing werewolf. Somewhere, in a far distant town, a light bulb turned on. Soul had placed the being under its control, even if seemingly unwillingly and that was unacceptable. Leval pulled out his smartphone and looked into the nature of spirits. This was, of course, not a particularly optimal way to find out information of magical beings, but lacking access to a library full of information and ancient tomes it would have to do. It did have the minor advantage of expediency. Leval looked through various lists of ways different cultures lore had dealt with spirits and then compared it to what he had on hand. There was only one match, but it was worth a shot.

Leval began to rummage around his bag as the werewolf/Soul's song, he could not place it, came to an end. Shela came up to him and thanked him for the show he had given her earlier with a smile on her face. Leval paused for a moment, returning the smile, too distracted to hear the lizard's insult at that moment.

"Thank you! I am glad that you enjoyed the show. You must excuse me I think I have to try and help those two at the moment.
I will be right back though."

Leval had 18 younger cousins, aunts, uncles, and his parents who lived with together on a plot of land. Given exorbitant costs of living and maintaining the area it was difficult to afford to many delicacies like sweets. For both Leval's massive sweet tooth and his younger siblings this was an awful situation. To fix it, and possibly for his own purposes, Leval had trained himself to be quite a good dessert baker. He had brought several of his supplies to school to keep practicing including several basic ingredients. At this moment, the only was that mattered was the can filled with salt that he brought out of his bag. According to his brief research, more than a few different cultures used to salt to protect, ward, and banish spirits. No guarantee of success though, so it couldn't help to try and improve his chances.

"Ash. Cinder."

Leval gently called out. From underneath the concealment of his cloak, two pairs of small wings began to flutter. Two red, butterflies whose wings seemed to be made of of gently, flickering flames came out from behind his cloak. Needing to further instruction, they flew small circles above the container of salt. Tiny particles of what appeared to flame came out of the wings and settled into the salt itself, infusing it with a small amount of the life-based healing magic.

"Thank you both."

The butterflies began to fly more freely, one swooping close to the ground by Shela's feet, it's wings not burning anything. Leval walked right over to the Soul-possessed werewolf and overturned the can of magic-infused salt. The salt began to fall out rapidly aimed straight at the werewolf's head.
