Location: Forbidden Kingdom - Esaka's Low Tier

As both men left the dojo, Harry asked where he could get some equipment and weapons. Kim answered while shoving his hands into the pockets of his jacket. β€œFor weapons, I would suggest Marcus Kincaid. He has a lot of weapons, but you’ll have to haggle with him to lower the price. Or you could see Valeria, who has a good amount of melee weapons you could choose from. You could also see Seagrave Holmes for supplies and clothes.” Kim assumed Harry was more interested in getting some weapons and supplies. Harry was probably content with wearing his somewhat out of date outfit.

The two men started walking around the lower tier of Esaka looking for a suitable store. Harry stopped in his tracks, pointing to one of the many shops that was stuck between a butcher shop and an electronics store. A noticeable sign above indicated the name of the store. Written in bold letters was β€œNook’s Nicknacks.” Kim didn’t know what this store sold, but he assumed it would have something for Harry. Harry was the first to walk inside, with Kim following right behind him. The store was quaint, with multiple shelves and counters filled with a variety of objects.

A short figure was sitting on a tall stool wearing a colourful sweater and brown shorts. He put down a paperback book on the table in front of him. Waving at the two detectives. β€œLet me know if you need any help.” The tanuki said before going back to reading his book.

Harry was looking around for some sort of bag or knapsack, so he didn’t have to lug around his junk. Kim didn’t need anything at the moment, so he was just perusing the items on the shelves. Harry scooted past other customers who were shopping. He moved around a small boy holding a leash that was connected to a tuxedo cat. The boy was looking at a collection of various books. β€œExcuse me.” Harry said, prompting the boy to move closer to the shelf to let the detective pass.

Picking up a backpack that hung from a hanger with similar bags. Once in a while, Tom Nook would slightly lower the book to make sure Harry was not stealing anything. Harry looked quite suspicious and understandably appeared to be a potential thief. The detective walked over to the counter with the backpack. β€œHow much for the backpack?” He asked, making the tanuki place the book on the counter.

β€œFor the adventurer backpack, it’ll be eighty bucks mhm.” He said as Harry had a look of shock on his face. The detective pushed his hands into one of his pockets, looking for his wallet, but remembered that he didn't have one. Frantically, he searched every pocket of his clothes, hoping to find some money. He was reminded of the things he had taken from the mansion, which were inside his plastic bag.

He rifled through the contents of the plastic bag. Pulling out various knick-knacks that would fetch a reasonable price on the black market. Kim looked surprised, wondering where Harry found such things. β€œCould I trade ya one of these things for the pack?” As Harry finished his question, Tom took one of the items into his small paw. Studying the items for their value. One item in particular was a ring encrusted with a valuable jewel. This ring would be enough for Harry to buy the backpack.

β€œI could trade the ring for the backpack. Sounds like a good deal yes.” Nook grinned, thinking he could get quite a lot of money from the ring. A lot more than eighty dollars. Harry nodded, putting the rest of the items back into his plastic bag. He hoped Amy still had the items from the mansion that he could pawn off. With their transaction complete, Harry put his valuables into the backpack before putting it on. He kept the trash and empty bottles in the plastic bag to be thrown out.

A few moments later, the two detectives were at another store that specialized in pawning items for money. Harry was reminded of Bird’s Nest Roy back in Martinaise. With a good amount of cash in his pocket, he was able to get a wallet from the pawn shop to store it. The two men were walking down the street trying to find the other seekers. During the walk, Harry threw away his trash since he didn’t think he’d need it. Keeping the plastic bag as a memento. But the thought of consuming alcohol did seem to be lingering in his mind.

Edward O’Connor

Edward Philip O’Connor

The historian didn’t like the look the woman was giving her. It was scary and reminded him of bullies in his past who would prey on young Eddie. Perhaps his uneasiness came from the sword that hung around her waist. "Dude, what are you doing? Run, she's Banu Haqim. She's gonna kill you." A voice blurted out, making him look behind him. But there was no one there.

He didn’t think he would make a very good soldier; if anything, he would be better suited to a clerical role. He watched her roll a chalkboard with scribbling of what he believed was some sort of desperate plan. Edward took a moment to study the plan and try to make sense of its meaning.

He was aware of the Camarilla and their ongoing conflict with the Anarchs. During his first few nights, he researched the people involved in the conflict, as well as the different clans. His train of thought was broken when Ezra mentioned the act of killing. He looked quite flustered since the thought of murder was the last thing on his mind. At most, he would kill a bug, and even then, he would hesitate even to touch it.

” So what is the plan?” He asked after what seemed like a deafening silence to him.

Abigail β€œAbby” Blavatsky

Abby had a hard time trying to break the shapeshifter. The battle inside his mind was something she had not dealt with before. But one thing that helped her was that he was alone in this world with no one like him on Earth. And Abby could use this fact to break him utterly. Using her powers to show him false images of his former comrades speaking ill of him behind his back. As well as pictures of humanity turning against him because he is an alien and not one of them. The ordeal of breaking the former hero took hours and was quite exhausting for Abby. But she was finally able to break him once he started to wear down mentally. She was able to utterly break him down and mold him into a useful tool for the group to use. One thing Abby noted was how helpful Kid Cosmo could be as her bodyguard. She knew she was not much of a fighter, so having a shapeshifting brute would be pretty beneficial.

Judy congratulated Abby. But she didn’t seem to care as she was only doing this to learn more about her past. Although a small part of her quite likes the praise. Something she didn’t get a lot of as a child. For the time being, she needed to rest so she could mentally recover. The villainess fished for her pills, which were now in a steel case. She took a blue and green pill and bit into it as she felt the calming euphoria of the medicine kicking in. Her whole body shook, and not long after, she put the case away into her pocket. Abby noticed she was starting to run low on her medicine.

From the information she had gotten a few weeks ago, the scientist who knew the recipe was living in Liberty City. The plan was to ambush him when he was alone, get the recipe so she could duplicate it, get the location of the other scientists, murder him, and then escape. It would be something she had done countless times before, and this would be no different. Before she left to conduct her plan, she asked Judy for a weapon to help her in a fight. The weapon she chose was a BrΓΌgger & Thomet Welrod. She thanked Judy, putting the gun into her newly acquired shoulder holster. She walked to her car, got into her civilian clothes, and then drove off.

A Few Hours Later.

Dr. Harwood was holding a lecture about chemistry at Liberty Campus. Holding the attention of some of the students, although some seemed to be bored out of their minds. The old man was just glad to be teaching young minds. This was a much better arrangement than his previous occupation. Many nights, he has recurring nightmares of what he had seen in the laboratory.

After the lecture, he thanked all of the students attending before packing up his things into his briefcase. Smiling and making small talk with the students who wanted to ask him various questions. He was more than happy to answer and discuss anything involving chemistry. As the students left, he was soon alone in the room. He closed his briefcase when he noticed someone sitting at the far end of the room. From where he was standing, he couldn’t make out the features of the figure. β€œThe lecture is over. You may leave if you like, unless you have a question for me?” He spoke in a noticeable Manchester accent. The figure stood up and started walking towards him. In their hand was a black leather briefcase. He could hear the faint sound of whistling coming from the figure. The tone of the whistling was β€œOde To Joy.”

β€œI just wanted to thank you personally for such an interesting lecture. And I had a question I wanted to ask you, but I was too nervous to ask with all of those people around you.” The voice of the figure spoke. And Harwood noticed it was the voice of a woman. Harwood squinted his eyes because his eyesight was terrible, and even with glasses, he struggled to see.

β€œOf course, my dear, I am always happy to answer any of your questions.” Harwood smiled, but the woman's warm gesture was not returned.

β€œThank you. My question is, do you remember me?” She asked, but the old man only raised a brow. Shaking his head, not being sure if he knew the girl. β€œMaybe this will help jog your memory.” The figure rolled up her sleeve, exposing her arm. And on her arm was a tattoo of a series of numbers. The man gasped, recognizing the number.

β€œSubject 24601!” and as he said this, the woman smiled like a predatory animal.

β€œBingo! I have a few other questions I hope you can answer. One is chemistry-based. First question, how do you make Lexzepam? And where is Dr.Fuchs?” The woman walked closer to Harwood, making him back up and was now sitting on a chair.

β€œIt’s very complicated to make. I do not think you would be able to replicate it by yourself. And i do not know where Dr.Fuchs is. I have not spoken to him in years.” Now Abby was towering over the man.

β€œYou're lying. You know where Fuchs is.” Her voice rose as her hand curled into a fist. A nearby table was being violently pushed into the wall behind her. Creating a sizeable dent in the wall. Reading further into his mind, trying to gain the location of her target. As well as getting the recipe for her drug.

The old man said he didn’t have any involvement in experimenting on her, but Abby was not paying attention to what he was saying. Finding the information she needed, she had no further use for him. Concentrating as hard as she could, focusing on the man’s heart valves. Using her powers to constrict it and induce a heart attack. The old man gripped his chest, falling out of his chair. He grabbed onto Abby’s pant leg while muttering something under his breath.

β€œPle…se…i did…nothi…ng…wrong…do…n’t…ki…l…me…” He said between his short breaths. But Abby was apathetic to his pleas for mercy. Moving her leg away and walking out of the room as Harwood let out his final breath. Walking through the building and to the parking lot, she was satisfied with what she accomplished today.

Elsewhere, Tim was sitting in his office, researching the recent serial killings. Looking through the personal files of the scientist that were killed. Tim noticed that all of them had worked together on a project at Fort Jackson near Liberty City. Recently, Tim had received some classified files that would help with his investigation. The American government funded a project to create super-powered soldiers. One of the test subjects was assigned the code name β€œ24601.” The profile of subject 24601 featured many pictures of a girl who resembled Erika. This led Tim to research Erika Muller further. His research eventually led him to find an article about a missing woman named Erika Muller a few months ago. The exact same time the Erika he knew was hired at the Daily Trumpet.
I'm almost done with mine, sorry. I'll try to get it done today.
Sorry it took so long, but my post is up.
