IAmTheIslandSuperpowered people have been recorded since the time of the caveman. In 2026, humans with superhuman abilities are commonplace. Superheroes and Villains are constantly fighting each other, and the collateral damage that would come from that. Earth’s main heroes are the Guardians of Earth. First started in 1938 with Utopian, Star Spangled Banner I, Freya, and Nighthawk I. Sometime in the 70’s and 80’s, the next generation of Heroes were brought into the fold.
During this time, many groups formed, including the Dark Guardians, who fought supernatural threats; the Young Guardians, a group of young heroes; and the Galactic Guardians, who faced alien threats. There have been other superhuman groups.
In the 90’s and 00’s, the heroes of old started to grow old and fade away. Edgy and new heroes were introduced, with their mission being more to serve the US/NATO and protect the world from Terrorism. Heroes of this era became more like celebrities, who became more superficial and self-centred. Sometime before the start of the Roleplay, most of the Guardians were killed by the supervillain called The Hood. The only survivors were Utopian and Freya. Utopian and the head of the CIA, named Donald Baker, are planning to recruit new heroes.

The Utopian was an alien species called the Zaidians. The Zaidians lived on the planet Zaidan. They were a highly technological race of scientists and engineers. When Utopian was a baby, his planet was besieged by the Utanians. His parents hid Utopian from the Utanians. With his father and mother dying trying to protect him. With his father’s last action shuttling Utopian away from Zaidan. Picking a random planet, and that planet was Earth. Unknown to him, his twin brother was also sent to Earth. During travel, his brother’s pod was hit by a meteor and placed elsewhere on Earth. His pod landed in New Jersey with a Jewish couple, Fred and Daphne Shuster. Fred was a journalist for the Newark Herald, and Daphne was an elementary school teacher.
Utopian who’s earth name was Jerome was a bright and empathetic boy. Discovering his own powers when he was seven years old. During his childhood and teenage years, he hid his powers from other people. With his parents being the only ones who knew of his abilities. When he was eighteen, he joined the air force during WW2. During this time, he met other heroes and helped with creating The Guardians. There was some conflict about getting into the war, but they decided to join the Allies and fight the Nazis.
After WW2, Utopian and the other Guardians helped protect Earth. He himself makes sure they do not join any political conflict. However, other Guardians decided otherwise and broke off from the group.
During the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s, Utopian ensured that The Guardian remained out of political conflicts. Currently he is in the middle of finding new recruits after most of the Guardians were killed by The Hood. He had a wife named Edith Butler, two children named Louise and Gene. And four grandchildren named Yancey, Hank, Greta, and Kelly.

Specifically heroes like Star Spangled Banner, Red Racer, Ozymandias, Black Jack, Firebomb, Captain Canada, Bloodsport, and Kilgore.
These heroes worked with the US/NATO government in the preceding wars. For the next few decades, the Guardians remained neutral in all conflicts. Trying to help during disaster relief, galactic and supernatural threats.

A demigod created when the god Loki mated with a human woman. Trained by the gods Hermod and Hodur, Freya was taught sword fighting and warfare. She quickly became a fierce warrior protecting Scandinavia from invaders and other supernatural forces. Being present during many historic battles. And having many human lovers during the different ages.
During WW2, she fought the Axis powers and helped create The Guardians. Working closely with Utopian and the other Guardian members. When the other members were killed, she was one of the survivors of the attack.

A multi-millionaire named Peter Wayne, who got his money from his father being an oil baron. As a young kid he his father had passed away, leaving him along with his overbearing mother. His mother remarried to a man named Edward Naiper, who wanted their money. So he planned on killing both Peter and his mother in an “accident.” Edward had killed his mother, but didn’t succeed in killing Peter. Peter, using the alter ego “Nighthawk” murders Edward in retaliation.
As an adult, he ran Wayne Corp, making sure to put all of his fingers into the pot. Gaining as much money as he could through different ventures. Alternatively, during the night, he would don his Nighthawk persona and fight crime. Joining the Guardians during the 40’s, and staying with them up until the 70’s. Leaving the Guardians to help keep his city, Arkham, safe from crime. In his stead, his now adult sidekick Mockingbird joined the Guardians. As of the 80’s, he retired from crime fighting.

But the side effect of the serum made James more erratic.

Donald Baker was born in Newark, New Jersey. Living with his parents, older sister, and younger brother. Becoming a police officer and working his way into becoming a CIA agent. First joining the CIA in the 70’s and helping with keeping tabs on Russians. Feeding information about various villains and organizations to The Guardians. Working with the US Vanguard during the War On Terror.
Sometime during this time, Donald was given cybernetics to save his life from stomach cancer. In return for further helping the US and their interest.

Not much is known about The Hood. He first appeared during World War II, helping the Nazis with creating weapons of war. After the war, he started selling weapons to North Korea, Russia, Cambodia, terrorist groups, and fascist South American countries. Killing most of the Guardians sometime in the 2020’s.
He is planning to finish the job and kill the rest of the Guardians. Creating his own group of supervillains called The Savage League.
