Let's say that Dawn was very close to the shadow beast when that attack went off, given the nature of his magic would it be unreasonable to assume that he could have survived that? I mean you did launch a mini sun, that is sort of his power base.

Also maybe you missed it but Nidhogg erected a giant dome of bone around the battlefield. Your character shouldn't have been able to see anything going on after that or be able to target the creature specifically since it was inside the dome.

I suppose Shiro could try and call in reinforcement, of just one person, specifically James to help make the shadow beast more vunerable towards physical attacks lol.

@ExpolarQuestion can the shadow thing be killed/hurt by physical damage, or does that just disperse it a little. Cause if so, Nidhogg can't do much against it, which'll piss him off a bit.

When the shadow beast is exposed to light, it will be effected by physical attacks. But when it's in the shadow/darkness, it's body becomes like a cloud of mist which can be dispersed, but reformed more easily, so physical attacks won't be as effective. So thanks Nidhogg for creating that dome xD

Okay cool, thanks for the info.

And since that is the case, then Nidhogg didn't just make things harder for Dawn. I remember you mention that you didn't want the battle to end too soon. But if you remember from earlier, it's currently the day with light outside, the beast just absorbed the darkness in a single building to just gain more strength, and now it's contained in a giant dome that's blocking sunlight out and keeping nothing but darkness inside. So ya... the battle is won't be ending anytime soon and definitely didn't make things harder for just Dawn lol :)

But I am curious about what Lux might try to do.

So it appears my brain failed me because i was so sure i put a post saying my characters were up for control as i would be away for a few months because of issues. I'm cool with the CS.

Although it might remind me of slayer magic since she can't eat fire. She also doesn't really slay anything, sure, she good against other wizards with fire magic, but not when she up against someone with greater flames.

The weakness against other types of magic that have more of an advantage over her is good. Being doused with water and losing the ability to cast her magic is nice as well.

Also I'm a bit curious about one thing at the moment. You mentioned that her magic can make her thirsty and raise her body temperature. Would it be possible that if she pushes her limit with her magic, she could pass of from thirst or overheating herself?

Shadow Beast | Crocus

After throwing a man across the street, the shadowy beast ignored the speech from Robin and began to aim it's sights somewhere closer. The closet it saw were a mother and young daughter trembling as the beast approached them until a cage of light appeared to protect them. As beast was about to search for the wizard responsible, a barrage of spikes impaled it and and fell into the ground with the spikes, vanishing. However, the beast simply pretended to fade away as it was actually lurking in the ground as a shadow and rushed towards Nidhogg with tremendous speed.

Once the shadow beast was a few feet to Nidhogg, it bolted out of the ground and with its shadowy claws crushed him against building. Just as the beast was about to bring its claws back, it kicked the wizard through the walls of the building. It stepped into the building with a screeching cry, the building soon collapsed as the darkness and shadows in the building ran through its own structure and into the beast, enhancing its speed and strength. The beast leaped out from the cloud of rubble and landed on its four as it galloped down the street where civilians could be seen trying to flee from the monster's rampage.

A few blocks down, a few squads of rune knights could be seen in distance marching their way towards situation.

So I posted Lux over to the shadow monster and promptly forgot that I should probably have stuck a mention in for whoever else is involved. Then I remembered that edited in mentions don't work and I'm not even sure who is involved soooooooo.

Yeah just posting in here to say that Lux is involved in all that now.

@Silvan HavenMe, Prince of Seraphs, Expolar, and Lunar are currently involved, and I find just a tiny bit of issue, continuity-wise, with your post. Shadow monster should be more focused on audden attack then random field of light. Now that being said, it's mostly a minor nitpick that I brought up mostly to get it off my chest, so do with the information what you will. Also, good post, though Lix will probably try to kill Him after he sees what happen to the father, if that was the thrown man you were referencing.
