Current You'd think after like 15 years I'd stop feeling like a fraud when writing posts but I still do which is both a statement on my self confidence and a compliment to how good my partners are as writers

Either one works, but having Samus could be fun.

Well now I don't know which one I want to be more.
I want in on this.

I want to be the friend that is way into fighting games.

Or Samus. Because Metroid.
I'm not taking it badly, hah. Our characters are probably just going to butt heads all the time.
Ack, I didn't even see this had started, apologies! I'll wrk on a post
Words hurt, Alex. Words hurt. ;.;
Here are my two cents on the matter from earlier.

While it is common for there to be 'love (or lust) at first sight' my concern was always one of "I don't just want the characters to hook up with their roommates" because that just makes things boring, because then you're just railroading into the relationship. Granted, there hasn't been many chances for everyone to interact with one another yet (that's more a failing of mine, but I aim to change that with gym/lunch coming up) so I understand that the most interaction people have had is with room mates or friends from last school year.

I'm a huge fan of the slow build to relationships so naturally I don't go in for the immediate love at first sight, more of a 'secret, silent crush' type of thing, but I can't reasonably expect others to have that same philosophy.

What I'm trying to say is that I am of the mind that if you've already decided what character your character is going to want to pair up with, well I can't stop you from wanting that to happen, but the fun is in not knowing, or at least it is to me. Yes, it's totally possible for love to go unrequited, but I think where Raineh was coming from is that the characters are still on their first day and just barely meeting and to suddenly have huge feelings, reciprocated or otherwise, for another can come off as rushing things along and getting to the hook up before the relationship.

I'm not saying that's what is going on, just that I understand where Raineh is coming from here. This is supposed to be more free form (and it will be once it gets going past all this school stuff) and if people are pairing up already, it takes some of that away and could have the negative impact of removing further character interaction. Of course, I trust you all not to make this the case, since this seems to be a fringe happening anyway.

I just, I don't want people to worry about pairing up so early on. It's fine to have crushes. It's less fine to push into making the crush a reality at the expense of cutting off relationships (of all sorts) with everyone else.

I hope that makes sense. I'm not mad or anything, I just want things to be enjoyable for everyone and appreciate disputes like this, that highlight any concerns that might crop up.
Isabeau's temper was on the rise; it was brought down for a moment when one of them, one of the males no less, actually apologized. It may not have been sincere, Isabeau had her doubts, but it was better than simply ignoring her. And she was going to lower her voice, be more civil, the apology having calmed her down a tad. But then the red haired girl, the incredibly rude one from earlier - of course she would be here - spoke up, yelling like a wild beast. And just like that, Isabeau's temper flared up again.

"Outsider? UNPREPARED?" Isabeau fired back, holding her ground against the verbal attack, "Yes, I'm sure an ignorant shoopuff like you is somehow more qualified to be here than I am, someone who is related to the one who SAVED SPIRA. Newsflash: the temples are OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, and last I checked, I'M PART OF THE PUBLIC. Don't act all high and mighty, because guess what? YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED IN THE CLOISTER EITHER!"

Isabeau then reached into her outfit, removing the ornate rod from its resting place on her hip. She thrusts it forward, proudly, a cocky expression on her face, eyes closed for effect.

"And I'll have you know I'm never unprepared. The abilities I have can make anyone, fiend or man, flee in terro-" She opened her eyes and noticed the red head had moved towards the other girl who was pounding onto the glass coffin. "Would someone please get miss dramatic over there away from the Fayth and then instruct her on history, please? So overdramatic, it's disgusting."

Isabeau huffed her shoulders. This tour was a joke.
Save me a spot okay thanks I'll read this tomorrow
Whoa whoa whoa what's going on is there fighting happening please say no. I desperately need some sleep I have been awake for thirty some hours now so I don't know what's going on in the OOC but if there is a dispute let's work it out.
