Bio

You showed up.

One way or another, you've arrived at my profile. You've taken a wrong turn in an alleyway because you didn't pay enough attention to your map. You've heard of something cool and new and thought maybe you'd see what all the fuss is about? Or maybe it is that you noticed like me updating my status or were lurking through an RP or something I am in and just kinda clicked my profile, that happens too. Regardless, you'll come to learn that your actions have consequences. Not this one since you can always just, like, leave.

I have a few names and I don't mind being called whatever you fancy at that given time. KingofTheSpectrum, FamishedPants, ChadChadlainn. Any derivative of these is fine as well. Most tend to use Pants, however. I'm nearing my thirties and enjoy games, anime, V-tubers, and visual novels. You can find my still-obsolete list here as it contains everything important on it.

As for games particularly, I am a huge fan of Devil May Cry, Metal Gear Solid, Nier and its sequel, FFXIV, and recently, Project Wingman.I tend to lean towards shooters and action games, but I have also wasted 8+ years on League of Legends. I think the only games I tend to avoid are card games and sports games, but there can always be exceptions.

For anime, I tend to watch whatever looks entertaining. It doesn't have to be good. I've seen a lot of the generic, poor-quality isekai harems that are out there. It's difficult to remember what I actually genuinely like, but Chaika the Coffin Princess comes to mind, as well as FMA: Brotherhood. I'm currently enjoying Tokyo Revengers.

I've read my fair share of visual novels, as my list would tell you. I can't recommend going through Muv Luv Extra/Unlimited, then playing Alternative enough! Big fan of Rance, Grisaia no Kajitsu, and Demonbane as well. I could probably go on and on about them, but I'll stop here.

Also, fuck you, Broken.

I don't think we're on the same wavelength when it comes to how Aleph might act when he's evil.

He's a bit odd to begin with, who knows what wacky shenanigans he might get into when he's corrupted! :^)
@Zelosse

I don't think Aleph should touch that. He's too pure. To corrupt and taint him is inconceivable! Also he would most certainly face a Heroic BSOD and shutdown for a while. H-he's a hero!
@Zelosse

I'mma be frank with you and say that even if you brushed his shoulder with your arm, I would find a way for Aleph to die. More deaths are needed in an RP where death is not the end, but a new beginning full of DESPAIR hopes and CHAOS dreams!
Hahah! My brilliant plan to get Aleph killed has succeeded! Unlike the rest of the cast, likely, he will embrace the power, control it, and meme Vesta and others with it!

And then gradually become more and more normal as he dies, until he has so many stacks that he becomes a background character. Fwahahaha!
Not the slums actually. It's in the middle of the city, near a fairly populated Tavern. Malakaus break the sword with his bare hands because he happens to be roughly a 7 foot tall orcish warrior who pumps iron. As for Mithril, dunno about him. Base off what Fiddle said, Atisha did and didn't kill him. Again, this vague Schrödinger "You cannot comprehend it's true form" narrative does a shitty job actually telling people what's going on, but it does succeed in making things very confusing. Tani is knocked out or possibly dead, Malakaus did punch her pretty hard and she took off her armor, which I also presume includes her helmet.

AND ALEPH IS HELPING. DON'T FORGET ALEPH HELPING.
Aleph Banton

"I'm Aleph Banton and I'm helping!"

“I am sorry, Mr. Allen Balton. You have experienced something you should not have. This is my fault. I’ve failed my teachings as a knight. My friend is dead, killed by another one of my friends..”

What did she just call him? His name wasn't Allen! It was Aleph! AL-EPH! ALEPH! Was this woman deaf? And also, should she mourn her friend AFTER he died? It was a bit rude just sitting there, talking about experiencing the death of her friend who was still in the DYING phase of death! Perhaps she was merely a bit clueless? Oh well, at least her heart was in the right place. That's all the mattered, right?

Aleph's hand stopped twitching the very moment that the orc had breathed his last, and as a hero who had done nothing to avoid this death, Banton felt ashamed. He should have saved the man before him, but seeing an ally slay another against their own will had managed to shock the false hero into inactivity. The orc had managed to break the blade, but would that really be enough to keep it from controlling more people? Aleph could only hope that he hadn't just let this orc die in vain.

"Knight Maria?" Aleph wasn't sure what she was going to accomplish by approaching Malakaus, but it wasn't likely to be a good idea with that sword in him. And, of course, he was right. She had intended to take the sword into her own hands! "What are you doing!?" he questioned. By this point, they were down two and a half allies and one and half of them were do to this stupid sword! Did she want to be another casualty, or to cause one!?

What would happen if he tried to force her off of what was left of the blade? Would it cause him to be infected by horrible thoughts of friendly fire and murder? Would he be safe? He couldn't be sure unless he tried, and that wasn't a risk he was willing to take. He figured he had to separate her from the hilt at any cost, before she too had succumbed to the vile thoughts that tainted it!

"Forgive me!"

Gathering the necessary strength in both of his hands after sheathing his sword, he placed his hands in the space between Maria herself and the sword, and fired one concussive blast towards her chest and the other from the other hand towards the sword in order to push them away from each other. Perhaps this looked awkward, but it was the best he could do without physically touching either her or the sword. He had a sincere hope that this was the last time he would be required to use magic, and not only because he disliked magic use, but because he wasn't capable of continuous spells like this without suffering dearly for them.

That's what she gets for getting his name wrong
Hmm, I guess I can hurry up and get an Aleph post up today.

@Lunarlors34
Vesta.

She's... throwing shade? Showing extraordinary disdain for another person's very existence in a very flippant and casual manner?

Is that not what the young'ns call it these days? I don't know, I'm old as shit. <_<

People don't speak in that dialect anymore, I'm sorry. In fact, I almost mistook you for some kinda of communist. :^)

Also, I will be getting my new MICROSOFT - XBOX ONE S 1TB BATTLEFIELD™ 1 SPECIAL EDITION CONSOLE BUNDLE - MILITARY GREEN and likely be busy playing things for a couple of days. I may or may not react to a post, but it is not very likely.

@Lucius Cypher

Has it even been two weeks since your last post? I think that's how long we had to wait for Aleph to do anything. Get on my level.

"I don't want to see friends fight!"

When he was informed that they were in the middle of a rather serious situation, Aleph did feel a bit embarrassed that he had missed this. Perhaps it was all the commotion already going on, but until it was pointed out that right now was now happy time for the group he had found himself assisting, he hadn't noticed the shenanigans or whatever was occurring on the rooftops. He wondered just how he should help, then. What would a Hero do in this situation? Would it be best to find his way up and help fight... whatever that murderer was supposed to be? Or should he stay down here?

Aleph's right hand began to sting with a pain in intensity he had never experienced before in his life. Around that time, the orc (that Aleph had intentionally been avoiding due to recognizing from earlier) had found himself subject of a rather brutal attempt at a weight loss program. Or maybe he was being attacked? You never could tell nowadays. At least until Tani had decided to turn and face him, shambling like some being who had lost its very soul and will. But that did not appear to stop her from beginning to approach him and using his perfected detective's deduction, he figured she was very unlikely to be advancing towards him for any peaceful reason.

The Hero took a step back.

What the hell had happened to suddenly cause this odd behavior? First, she was telling him she didn't need help just yet, and now she had attacked an ally and was targeting him? Well, the only thing he could think of was that creepy sword. Something was up with that, probably. It made the most sense, at least. So, then, all they needed to do was get rid of it, right? That was always easier said than done, wasn't it? She was a knight and Aleph certainly respected the power a knight held, no matter where they may have come from.

Preparing to fight, Aleph reached back and unsheathed his blade, only to find that Maria had suddenly taken it upon herself to defend Aleph from the possessed Tani.

How heroic. If he was a heroine in some bishoujo (it tried to correct me to Bishop which is rather hilarious if you know who they are) game, his affection meter would have gone up. But since this was no such thing and no such measurement of one's like of another exists... well, his affection meter still increased because heroic deeds like that would always earn Aleph's love. Unfortunately for Maria, Aleph is a pure waifu and thusly has no H-scenes in his route.

In short, Aleph appreciated her courageous decision to defend somebody she but a minute's experience with, even though she had suffered some form of injury herself. It was a selfless action that reflected a Hero's heart within her. If she kept it up, she might even be able to become his sidekick.

Aleph kept his hand on his blade and was prepared to provide assistance to Maria, should she need it. Judging from how she was currently holding herself, she was rather open. Was that intentional? Possibly, a knight of her class should be capable of counterattacking to a fine degree. He had hoped this was the case. It would cause him distress if she was unintentionally leaving such openings in her stance, but there was no way to tell until Tani attacked. And so, the Hero patiently waited as the possessed Tani approached and attacked--- the wrong person! The orc who was attempting to stop her advance was apparently dispatched with haste mid-attempt. It was a rather sudden movement, one Aleph honestly wasn't expecting from her.

"Th-that's..." Aleph wasn't sure what to say. He did not mind people attacking him. He was used to it. But to see somebody else be attacked and stabbed like that... hurt. He felt like he had failed as a Hero. If he couldn't protect people from evil, then what was he good for? Worst yet is he couldn't even be mad at the person who had done the stabbing. A strange feeling he got from looking in her eyes told him that she was no happier than him about this, even if a wicked smile tainted her face. What should they do? At this rate, this knight was going to kill or be killed, and neither of those were preferable outcomes. They had to do something!

"Knight Maria... the sword... the sword seems to be the cause of this! At least I think so! If you would like that knight to survive, then I believe we need to disarm her!" he gripped the handle of his sword tightly. How could something force another person to do actions that went against their own will? It was sickening! Aleph's hand tingled with a light pain. He knew this feeling. It was when his body craved justice! It was when good needed to prevail! He would do anything in his power to help these knights, a Hero like himself was expected to do as much.

"Allies harming each other is just too sad..." he muttered mostly to himself - who knew if Maria caught it or not. He simply hated this kind of situation from the bottom of his heart, is all.
