Marie shifted uncomfortably as more people began to pile into the room, well, one more person, a young girl sporting a hoodie and bragging about a magical sword. Then began the fighting. A few nasty words back and forth, followed by raised voices and half-baked threats and attempts at sounding heroic. It was all too much for Marie, who jumped at every instance of shouting and rolled her eyes at some of the cliched lines. She expected a room full of superheros to be a display of leadership and a vision of grandeur, but instead it was petty arguing and mismatched colors. It was then that Chris took over, giving everyone their assignments.

“Team One will include Icon, War-Pulse, Lyger, Thunderbolt, Radiance, and the White Witch. Remember that your goal is distract their group of metahumans. If you happen to beat them before Team Two captures the doctor himself, rendezvous with them. Team Two will be lead by Vigilante and will include Raptor, Wasp, Bast, Arachne, and whoever this newcomer is. We have an old set of schematics for the building and an overview of our opponents on that electronic whiteboard. So, any questions before we begin?"

Marie went still for a moment. She could never have imagined that she’d be working with the likes of Icon. She was by no means an Icon fangirl, but she couldn’t help but squeal internally at the thought of it. After a few moments of this, she regained control of herself, brought her head up, and looked forward. She was confident that she could perform above everyone’s standards and make a name for herself. All that stood in her way was a freaky doctor with a strange name and a band of villains who didn’t stand a chance against her magic.

Question: Is The Hub still a thing? I haven't seen it mentioned except in old posts and I wondered if something might have happened there to have it shut down or something.

Who are the teens? I'm honestly not familiar with any of these character's ages lol. Marie's in her early twenties.

It should be in the OP last I knew. However, this is what I have listed last time I checked and I believe it's correct:

- Demon Invasion (1 month ago)
- Cowl's Riots ( 1 week + a couple days ago)
- Umrbaxis Fight (2 days after Cowl's Riots)
- Pax Metahumana kick off with tv announcements (~36-48 hours ago)
- Pacis Metahumanae domes form in key cities (a couple hours - 4 max)

Thanks! Thought about doing a few posts in the past with Marie at some point and being that she was in Lost Haven during that time, she would have dealt with it in some way, even though she didn't help out the heroes.

Fdeviant, is it alright if I added the herb Moly, which appeared in Book 10 of the Odyssey to this section? It has already appeared in the IC and there is not really a good place for it anywhere else in this document.

Same concern here, as traditionally evocation is the summoning of spirits, demons, mystical forces. Your form of evocation has some overlap with the Arcane Stream system and it might be better to just lob this under what is possible using the Arcane Stream.

Ummm... Guys, you realize you're sort of discussing things without the official creator and already sounds like you're already making changes without consent. This isn't making me very comfortable at all to be honest if that's what you're doing. My suggestion: Contact Tearstone with a shout out over the OoC and/or PM about this stuff first before officially making changes or discussing them. This includes Gowi. They might have reasons for how they formatted them which aren't in the descriptions.

No as this is a public link. If it was private and send invite, yes I would. I'm also reminding everyone and pointing out what it looked like to me. I didn't think you two intended on altering anything which why I stated 'if that's what you're doing' because I've been known to be mistaken before. However what I said in the OoC is very true and important for everyone, including myself, to keep in mind. It also opens the door for the creator to gain ideas or input over their creation as long as we keep in mind the original creator has final say over it.

Thaumaturgy - Tearstone

Historically speaking, Thaumaturgy and Theurgy are highly religious forms of practice related to priests and a sense of catharsis, whereas sympathetic magic (the form of magic that relates two parts to a whole), and pors pro toto (part for whole), were just magical concepts employed by any number of magical practices. Being that this is a fantasy setting, we can redefine terms as much as we want, but it might be to this lore's benefit to have a clear definition of Thaumaturgy. (But obviously a lot of stuff in here is WIP, so this is just a suggestion)

To clarify, the suggestions that I made weren't made for the purposes of altering someone else's ideas, they were made with the idea of clarity in mind. Especially with Thaumaturgy, I didn't fully understand what the author was trying to achieve so I came at it with the historical context in order to provide a definition that was pre-established as a spring board for thought.

True, and my Puck is just a supporting character/NPC, so someone else sporting the name would be interesting.
