Out of curiosity, is it normal for Ancients to be difficult to track down after they have ascended?

They can usually be found near their sacred nesting place granted to them by the moons, and those tend to be in a place that was significant to the dragon in life. If you knew the dragon in life well enough, you could probably figure out where that nesting area was.
Garrock: Hey, you know what, my headache is subsiding.
Skobeloff: SO about that Rothscar succession crisis...
Garrock: Oh great, it's back again.
At the mention of the Rothscar situation, Garrock's face melted from its somewhat embarrassed smile into possibly the most exaggerated frown Skobeloff had ever seen. "Don't even get me started on that," Garrock said. "If I have to see that Topaz's smug face on one more of her campaign posts, I am going to lose my mind." Clearly, Skobeloff had hit a sore topic.
We still posting in turn order or?

We're out of initiative, I think.
When Brutrumukk awoke in the iron cage, all he could remember of his time at Brigands Tollway was a burning pain beneath his foot. "I suppose we deserved that." Brutrumukk said as he took in his surroundings. "We just traipsin' into their turf. No plan. No stealth. No surprise they got us so easily... Ah well. Live an' learn. Time to go." With that said, Brutrumukk stood up, seized the iron bars in front of him, and spent the next twelve seconds trying to pull them apart as best he could.

Ah yes, wakes up in a cell, clearly just another Tuesday morning for Brutrumukk.
Jub the Peculiar

When Jub woke from his unconsciousness, his first instinct was to check for where his belongings were. Once he had located his wand, spellbook and other knickknacks, he raised his head to survey his surroundings and immediately noticed that not only was he in a cage hanging above water, but he also had a cellmate, one he did no recognize. He immediately pulled his hood down over his face and scooched over to the corner of the cage furthest away from the strange satyr. Once his back was against the side of the cage, he started glancing all directions trying to figure out where the heck he was.

For a tiny creature, yes. Not Small creatures though.

I am further regretting getting Eighteyes killed all the way back in Chapter 1.
Look, Jub was neutral on Brutrumukk eating these jerks before we got into this fight but now he's genuinely considering it.
*me casually browsing through Magpie Games' website to see if there are plans to make a second edition of Epyllion and finding nothing*
Now that Skobeloff had gotten Garrock's guard down and mood up, the Trickster's best bet was try to strike a casual conversation once more, though this time leaning more towards current events.

At Fellwing's question, Alpin and Kyte merely looked at each other blankly while Shieldwing just shook his head. It seems none of them had heard it either.

Endora's voice continued, "There's nothing to be afraid of, Fellwing. After all, I'm here now..." Though it still sounded like the older dragon, Fellwing would note that it took on a more soft, playful tone than she'd ever used before. It sounded a little further away also, as if it were trying to lure Fellwing further back into the woods.

Once again, Kyte spoke up as if the other voice had never been there. "Should I try flying again? Maybe I can spot the captured dragons from above," they said. They motioned to the vines with their head. "Certainly seems safer than trying to walk through all this."
