Like... I know why, and he knows why.

But to the npcs it would be akin to us saying, unprompted, "I need to go to talk to someone about pterodactyls".

It's a DnD oneshot using the new 2024 rules, for a group of three people I have only recently come to know but are very nice and seem to have a lot overlapping interests to myself.

Funnily enough, I was coming up with ideas for it before I read Daggerheart and saw the Witherwild campaign frame, and accidentally ended up creating a setting with some similarities, mostly the way the Faint Divinities work in that campaign in that they're smaller, more local nature gods. Also now that I think about it, probably took a little inspiration from the Witchlight campaign in that it involves some fey shenanigans. Basically, the PCs happen across a small town having a festival, they're enjoying the vibes and then it turns out a (fairly weak) archfey has happened across the same festival and thinks "This is pretty neat, but I can make it better!" Them being an immortal fey, their ideas of making it better may involve putting the townsfolk in potentially dangerous situations.

Let's hope the players enjoy it 'cause I'm actually really nervous ^^;

Apologies for my relative silence in this RP. Between juggling my two games on here, I'm also going to start DMing a game IRL. I will try and get something up this week.

The vision the Darkness allows Fellwing to see is very brief, yet fairly unambiguous. She glimpses into another, wider chamber somewhere above where two silhouettes seemed to be caught in conflict. One is an older dragon, the other is a creature of similiar build and stature to Runa, though quite a bit bigger. The vision cuts off just as the troll-like figure gives a loud roar before charging at the dragon. This times perfectly with another loud thump overhead which pulls Fellwing out of her vision. Even though the Darkness is no longer in her mind, she still feels a lingering feeling, like pull leading her forwards, likely towards the source of said vision. Finding the origin of the sound will not be difficult. Getting involved conflict, however, is another matter.

Tamba makes a face at the mention of her twin's name. "Oh him? He's still in the clinic," she said. "No matter what I say, I can't seem to convince him to leave Maug's side." She suddenly looks guilty. "And I just needed a break from him, honestly. He's been acting, well, weird, since the island. Fogdance thinks he might be in shock, but I don't know..." She shakes her head. "But anyway! That doesn't matter! I saw you guys sneaking off and was curious where you were going."

When Stargaze questions her, Tamba tilts her head. "Oh sorry! I wasn't meaning to frighten anyone. Fellwing? No I haven't seen her." She looks around. "Haven't seen any dragons in this forest until I happened across you guys."

You may flesh him out if you want. Like I mentioned, I wanted to give players the chance to be as little or as much detailed about stuff as they want, and that includes NPCs. I can do it if you don't want, but it is up to you.

Yeah, I think I saw something about that on their status. Don't worry about it, we're in no hurry.

Just a clarification though, for everyone, the prompt questions were meant to be for prompts for your IC post to help you flesh out your opening post in case anyone needed extra direction. The first three were the most important ones to help establish where your character was and what they are doing, as well as give you all an opportunity to help flesh out the settlement of Alula itself. The other three were just for extra flavour.

You also don't have to answer them in an interview style at the end of your post like Rush did. I think he mainly did that for my sake so there was no confusion about what his answers to each question were.

Also, when I said Alula might have a rebel group in it, I thought Dimple would catch wind of that and want to investigate.

Turns out the man is just here to visit his deceased friend and then catch some Zs for a whole week.

Unexpected, but also you gotta respect it.
