O_O Oh! I thought we were supposed to choose only one of the d12s! Sorry about that.

Then my roll is a 16 with Fear? ^^”

I had to double check just to make very sure, but yeah, you do add both dice.

Hmmm.... 16 with fear, let's see...

Pepper sees a large, woolly auroch (one of these guys, but imagine them with long, thick fur like a woolly mammoth has) limping out of the woods. Pepper would have heard of these as a creature extinct practically everywhere else except for the Fanewick. In its side and belly, she notices something red pulsating beneath its fur. Maybe it's a lot of blood, an infected wound or some kind of growth, but she can't tell from here. Its eyes are hazy, clouded, like it's not properly taking in its surroundings.

Also, when I say, large, I mean big enough that if it stood on its hind legs, its could almost touch the bottoms of some of the buildings nestled in Alula's trees. Animals can grow to practically kaiju sizes in Fanewick.

I rolled 2d12 with the +1 modifier. First d12 was a 5, second d12 was a 10.

... then why did you say you got an 11?

11 with Fear

Little confused: I looked at the roll and it said you got a 16?
@Guardian Angel Haruki
The ribbet looked a little taken aback. "Err..." She glanced back over to the hunting party. "I don't... think so."

As she's attempting to remember, there is suddenly a rustle from the trees near Pepper.

@rush99999
The katari spins round, her fur standing standing on end as if she is expecting an attack. Upon seeing Dimple holding the drink up to her, she scrutinizes him before forcing herself to slowly relax. "Sure," she says after a moment, carefully taking the drink. She brings it up to her face, sniffing it cautiously before taking a drink. After a few sips, she returns it. She gives a sigh. "Thanks, I... needed that."

@Randomguy
The ribbet snorts. "Like we care if some city-lovers get hurt waltzing into our forests," he said. "Serves them right."

Again, the other hunters don't seem like they're going to intervene. In fact, Arnanell mentioning both Havenites and the Red Lady's Veil had made more of them seem a little tense.

@Vertigo
At Capriccio's interjection, the dwarf, Spix and Mito all immediately feel quiet. Spix and Mito eyed him with suspicion, though the latter less so than the former. The dwarf seemed less so, eying the infernis curiously. After a moment, he smiled and offered his hand to Capriccio. "You can call me Greenbeard. Always nice to meet a fellow enjoyer of gossip."

At this, all suspicion disappeared from Mito's face as he gave a loud snort. "Yeah, that's one way to describe you," he said, smirking at Greenbeard. He looked like he was going to give Spix a light nudge, but then decided that might actually be painful given his current condition. "Go ahead, Spix. Tell us what happened."

Spix was still eying Capriccio intensely, but at his friends' jeering, he averted his gaze to look at them. Greenbeard, then Mito. Seeing their companions looking at him expectantly, he gave a loud sigh. "Fine," he said. "But one of you better pay for my next drink."

Greenbeard opens his mouth to speak, but Mito cuts in. "What do you say to that, city boy?" they said, grinning over at Capriccio.
Huh. The urban fantasy magical girl kinda remind me of that Magical Girl homebrew for World of Darkness

Yeah, I've heard about that. Always been interested in reading through it, though I'm not the most knowledgeable about World of Darkness in general.
Ooh. A novel? What's it about?

It's an urban fantasy inspired by magical girl anime. It's the same novel I was working on last year for NaNoWriMo but things got busy so I've had a chance to write it for a while.
Just confirming, it's definitely going to be next week now. And afterwards, I'm gonna be spending the rest of the month working on a novel, so activity from me will be less frequent. Apologies for the delay.
Annie: "This isn't a social gathering"? Well, not with that attitude!
Annie's eyes lit up at Mortimer's answer. She looked over at the eagle-masked lady. "Wow, you made this whole plane yourself? That's pretty impressive! You must be a very powerful mage!" She beamed at the woman.

She wasn't sure if she should try and engage with any of the others guests who had been brought here. She thought the goblin was kind of adorable, but he seemed far too serious about this whole situation. He wasn't even eating any of this amazing food!

He wasn't the only one either. The leonine wasn't touching his food either, and this one seemingly-human man didn't seem satisfied with the selection on hand and rather rudely requested for something else. If Annie had done that at her aunts' table, she would have been in a lot of trouble!

Finally, there was another woman, also seemingly human, who seemed the most polite of the bunch. Annie smiled at her, though a much shyer one than that which she had directed at the eagle-masked lady.
That last bit about annoying humans has got me wondering something. Are there any humans on the Moonlit Isles?

I'm surprised this has never come up before but... nope!

In fact, there have never been humans on the whole of Adulare. Some types of fey look what we would describe as 'humanoid' (the closest being elves, who will be introduced at some point in the future), but this world does not have a concept of humans.

This was the case with vanilla Epyllion as well. Epyllion as written only seemed to mention other dragons as the sentient NPCs you could interact with. Moves like "Study Someone" and "Convince Someone" were originally referred to as "Study a Dragon" and "Convince a Dragon", for example. Because I took a lot of influence from the Spyro games when making this RP, I wanted to include more beings for the players to interact with, which is where the fairies and elementals came in. However, including humans in the world never really interested me, and the world-building of base Epyllion never really pushed me to do so.
