It had been a normal day for Holly. Nothing out of the ordinary. She had woken up slightly earlier than normal, so perhaps that was a sign that the day would be different from the normal routine. Her solution to being up early was to pick up the book she had began reading only the night before, and was half way through, and continue to read that. It was what she would normally do when she had a bit of spare time but there was no point in getting on her computer.

The reading caused her to almost entirely forget that she was supposed to actually get up and out of bed causing something of a rush to get up and ready. Holly pulled on her clothes in a haphazard manner, grabbing some food on the way out of that house as she called out a quiet good bye to her family. Soon she was out walking in the rain, the lovely weather that always occurred in Scotland, slowly eating an apple.

The shadows that began to appear in the corner of her eye didn't concern her for a short while before they grew, began to speak and catch up with her. Panic formed inside her chest as the world seemed to change around her and she began to run as fast as she could. She didn't know what was going on, and was incredibly confused, but just continued to run.

The sudden appearance of another girl didn't make the situation much worse even as Holly looked at her. She didn't seem... normal for one thing. But it was better then noting. Feeling out of breath she turned and ran as quickly as she could towards the girl that appeared and hoped that she hadn't made too bad a decision. After all following strangers was hardly ideal. But everything about this was strange.

Hopefully the girl that had spoken would be able to ward away these shades. Then it would turn out to be fine, right?
Okay dokay - I wasn't entirely sure how much I should put there so I'll add a bit to it in a moment :) Any suggestions? I can definitely come up with something but those were the two main good ones I came up with (the others were pretty bad in terms of not really being drawbacks).
First character finished of three: (I feel like I should maybe add to her weaknesses? But I'll see what feedback I get to that)

I'm maybe half way through writing my first character - is submitting three character fine? I have quite a lot of ideas character wise so I'd quite like to have three.

Obviously I can't say anything in terms of room mates until my characters are made and accepted haha.
Haha great :) I better get to the character creation board then
Im assuming this is still open? Id be pretty interested in joining and will start working on character sheets tonight
I'll try and respond sometime tomorrow when I have more time! :)
Holly Kerr

Holly Catriona Kerr
15 years old

Nationality: UK (Scotland)

Abilities: TBC

Personality: Holly is something of an introvert. This in part comes from her shyness and anxiety, but also from the fact that she struggles to spend a lot of time with people. She prefers to spend her time alone with her own thoughts. She spends a good amount of her time on a computer and has a passion for computing related things, especially programming. When she isn't doing this she is writing or reading.

Even when Holly spends time with people she isn't socially confident. She tends to mess things up, say the wrong things at the wrong time or say something that could be taken as hurtful. She tends not to mean to do this, even if a lot of what she says is sarcastic or could come across as mean. Even though she often dislikes social interaction part of her wants to have close friends and people that she could have an attachment to. However she believes that she is unlikely to make friends due to avoiding people quite often. So instead she just creates characters in her stories that she would want to be friends with, and engrosses herself in her programming.

Bio: Holly is the youngest child of three, with an older brother and sister. She grew up in the city of Edinburgh with her family. At a young age she spent most of her time playing make believe games alone in a made up world. She never grew close to any of the children that she went to nursery with and was quite shy when she was young. She preferred to talk to her imaginary friends over real people.

She started writing stories as soon as she could form the letters on paper, spilling all of her imagination into the words. Her parents were exasperated with her unwillingness to be social and when she started primary school at the age of five they started to try and organise for her to spend more time with other children in her class. Holly wasn't happy with this, and after her making no progress towards making friends her parents gave up. As a result she spent most of her years in primary school as a loner, spending her time reading or writing.

It was in her second last year of primary school, when she was 10, that she first got into programming. It was the basic things at first but she got enough into it to convince her parents to get her a cheap laptop that she could program on. Her parents hoped that if this when she moved onto high school she'd make friends through mutual interests.

This wasn't the case. The high school that Holly started at twelve had very people as into computing as she was. All those that were were boys, and they disliked the fact that Holly had more knowledge in the subject than they were. Nothing came of her interests but bullying and as a result she withdrew more from people and avoided the others in her year at school even more than she had in primary school.

She did begin to talk to people more as she moved through high school however has not gotten very close to them. Another thing that separates her from girls her age is the fact that she never seems to get crushes and boys, and this made many struggle to talk to her.

Holly is now in S4 (fourth year of highschool) and spending most of her time alone programming and writing. While she loves both of these things she hopes that some day in the future she will properly make friends.
@TheHangedManI thought fourth year of US highschool was the last one? I have I got my facts messed up for US highschool then? xD Whoooops. I've got the Scottish bit right at least, considering I've been through Scottish education (Well I'm in S6 anyway) xD
Just for reference S4 is the same as 10th grade in America xD It's the third last year of highschool basically (and in Scotland it's normal to start S4 at the age of 14/15)
