You have a point, that's just off to the side a bit and rather distant from a lot of the action. The other thing is that in their sheet it mentions that the big mountain is a lone mountain of enormous size, possibly the tallest in the world, changing it to be part of a mountain range might be difficult you know?

well, again I dont mind what you do. but keep in mind that the Western Erg will be very difficult to cross, so most likely large armies will have to go around it- passed the godfangs,
Probably crazy for doing this, but I do feel a bit more confident taking on another rp, so I think I'll be joining this :)

So with that done. @Flagg I have a question, how do you feel about my faction(another city-state) making use of a small army of ancient crystal-powered robots? They would be tough, but not unstoppable, and the crystals(my city's possible major export) that give them life would be quite exposed, so a good shot, swing or stab can take one down in the instant.

If it seems way too out there, no problem, I'll think of something else :)

I would say- a small army? No. A faction with crystal-things that's working on backwards engineering a robot-thing based on archeo-tech recovery? That would work.

That's unfortunate, not a ton of space down there. But better than nothing I suppose. I had hoped to be in between flagg and cruiser's people

I dont see a problem with you being beneath the Western Erg and adding a mountain there. I would suggest, perhaps, that the Godfangs might be a better location for a subterranean faction, since the Western Erg is basically nothing but dune sea- but if that's where you want to be that's no problem. I'll add the mountain to the next draft of the map.
Hi team,

Just popping in to say I'm still alive and kicking. I'll try to get a proper IC start going by tomorrow. Everyone who's accepted or on track to be accepted can start working on an IC introduction to their nations.

Also, please note that the map in the OP is tentative, pending player input. So please let me know where you want to end up on the map and if any of the features can be changed to accommodate you. Some can, some cannot, but we can get some compromises going there.
How do you feel about a largely underground civilization?

Depends on the details, but in general that would be fine.
I'm basically working the Azar like if the Tomb Kings accidentally stumbled upon a heap of Necron technology.

Anyway, so my basic plot idea starting out is that the Pharaoh has received word of the Dratha's dire state, and sees this as the ideal opportunity to stamp out his ancient rivals once and for all.

When can we expect word on our GM-decided traits and flaws? I think mine have kind of already been decided in my CS, though.

The Dratha are not in a particularly dire state, but a war between us would be a good way to kick things off. Happy to collaborate and also figure out a bit more about the histories of our fair peoples. And yeah, as for traits and flaws, the masters of archeotech/limited magic dichotomy works.

@Arawak The guild would certainly have willing clients and patrons in the Union.
@chapatrap your sheet is okay, but it feels somewhat bland and disjointed. Why not focus it a bit? Instead of having isolated knights who are xenophobic and occasionally raid others, why not make a force of religious-fanatic raiders, a scourge of the civilized races, who wreak vengeance upon the riverlanders (or whomever) for the martyrdom of their ancient hero, and have castles filled with loot from more civilized lands? That's just a suggestion, but I would like to see something more focused and with greater story potential.
I need to be on a mountain that's about it.

Pick one!
Tfw no Widow's Tears or Saliblah on the map

The idea is that you pick where you want to be, and name parts of the map :)
I'll be needing some various branching rivers running into the one that runs into the Great Sea, with accompanying green lands. And a delta at the mouth of that river if you're so inclined.

Also @Flagg I like the idea of making Azar the anti-magic faction, but in doing so do you mind if I turn up their usage of archaeo-tech to basically have elite units in the army that are "strapped the fuck up" as the kids say?

Yes that's fine. And if you look at the map as is, I think it suits your needs pretty well for now. Once we get everything sorted territory-wise, @gorgenmast or I can draw in some detail in river area for you.
If nobody minds, I'll be claiming the ash lands and the volcano up north to be my domain.
(I can't mark it since I don't really have anything to do it with >_>)

I've got that area already claimed, but we can definitely coexist there. Just be aware I have plenty of cities throughout the area.
