Just going to let you think on the weaponry that could earn the label "matter obliteration cannon" and also think on what that would do to most attacking forces

I counter with....forcefields *Wiggles finger spookily*

Besides, the Sangraal was a device made to kill beings who dwell on another plane of existence (who transcended their physical forms to become pure energy). Range is galactic scale, theoretically. But like I said, I'm a nice guy so I won't actually do it
@Flamelord

sorry. i mostly picked japan cause i figured all the land was taken, but turns out hawaii wasn't... so i wanted to move... i talked about it with matt in a private chat an he oked it

Fine, I suppose I will refrain from making the Sangraal and wiping out your entire species in preemptive self defense
Well, that diplomatic interaction didn't have a foregone conclusion
The creature facing down Teal'c and his men was of a strange bunch, that much was obvious. He had no idea whether to put stock in their claims, but he was intelligent enough to not simply start shooting without any cause. That would get them nowhere, and Ba'al would not approve of him simply throwing away his life without a chance of success.

"Lord Ba'al has dealt with your kind before," he noted, as a matter of letting the information be known. Not that Teal'c himself understood why, but apparently the Ascended beings known as the 'Ori' would have been a threat at some point. So they had eliminated them before it could come to pass, Undoubtedly the same thing could be applied to these beings.

Yet, he did not go so far as to not give diplomacy a chance. "It appears we are at an impasse. Conflict at this time would serve neither of our interests. We would be willing to cede you occupation of these lands, should you provide something of equal value in exchange." It wasn't like the Goa'uld had settled this territory yet, so they could afford to play nice in their own time.

@Tyki

The explanations for why were not so important to the Goa'uld, once it had been understood that there was no hostile action intended. The lack of offensive ship scale weaponry aboard the station, at least as detected by initial scans, removed any worry that the Goa'uld might have had about some sort of deception or treachery, at least for the moment. Whether it lasted, well, they would see.

"Understood," the answer came fairly quickly, after a bit of discussion on their end. "Prepare to be boarded." That would end the communications via radio for the moment, and the Goa'uld gave Martin the time he needed to get set up with any defenses and the like before they decided to drop in their own soldiers.

Several minutes later the Goa'uld would arrive in one of the observation areas, successive flashes of light filling the air, and fading away to reveal a couple men standing there, bodyguards to the man who represented the Goa'uld in this meeting. "I am Soran, of the System Lord Ba'al, Ruler of the Goa'uld Star Empire" he said, even as he took in the place. Well, this was going to be one of the more interesting visits he had had.

@supertinyking

The welcoming committee was as one would expect, some Jaffa and a few Ashrak arriving to serve as escorts in case the diplomats tried anything. Admittedly it was doubtful that they could actually stop a Space Marine when it came down to it, but it might buy a few seconds to earn a more forceful response. There was obviously some intimidation, but it didn't stop hem from doing their jobs, pretty important when it came to diplomacy.

It was one of the Ashrak who would speak, as formal as he could be, just as his opposite was. "Lord Ba'al is expecting you. Right this way." He turned on his heels and the other Jaffa took up an escorting position as they moved away from the landing field, and towards one of the more impressive buildings that was nearby. They could have teleported directly there, but ending up in a wall did not seem like proper diplomatic conduct, even for someone you didn't like, so walking it was. At the least it gave the visiting diplomats more time to see the preparations the Goa'uld were making for whatever conflict ended up coming. Though if it hadn't impressed thus far it probably wouldn't now.

Soon enough they entered the building, led down halls towards the meeting spot. Someone had definitely invested a lot of time in this, columns lining the hallways with chiseled runes in them, and lots of gold everywhere. The Goa'uld did like to show off, and it was just like them to use use precious materials for something as mundane as this, even if it had been infused with trinium to keep someone from destroying it too easily. And all along there were Jaffa, paroling, going about their business, a force that could be quickly called upon in times of need.

At last they arrived in the throne room itself, marched through an open doorway into a large room, to find Ba'al waiting there for them. He was seated upon his throne, one that was made to suit his claim as a God without being overbearing, made of gold and with small red domes on the ends of the armrests. Ba'al himself was in more elegant dress, reddish robes, and above him rested his sign, something aimed more at other System Lords than at them specifically. Meanwhile attendants and guards stood off to the sides, ready for his call should he need them.

"Ah, welcome Captain," Ba'al said with a smile as he straightened up a bit in his seat at the presence of the Space Marines, flashing a smile that looked like it was sincere. But with the Goa'uld, who could tell? "I hope that the Imperium hasn't fallen onto too hard of times since the last meeting I had with them."

You realize that Alex going to a complete opposite direction complicates the story more than it should, right?

I'm just acting in character. I thought you guys wanted me to be more proactive and not simply let the Gm determine everything.
Glancing over, Alex found his question unanswered as Tori chose that moment to reappear once again. She was really good with that vanishing act, enough to make him wonder if she had a tome that let her act in such a way. It was the only idea he had that made sense, even as he watched her addressing the power for the robot that they had brought with them.

"Gah!" His cry was for a good reason, the Relic having done exactly what he was worried it would do as it became a sword in his pocket, ripping a nice big hole in his shirt even as it flew to point at Tori. Well, that answered the question of whether it could move on its own, though he hoped that it wouldn't have come at such an expense to his clothes. Why did a Legendary Relic have to be such a hassle, when all the other treasure he could think of was nice and sedate. Hopefully it was worth a lot, cause he wasn't sure he was willing to put up with the trouble.

Then things went downhill yet again, his gaze flickering over to see the soldiers appearing, just before the Twins took off, with monsters appearing on the city streets shortly thereafter. "Oh come on," he grumbled to himself before snapping. "Give me a break." He dove forward and grabbed the Relic, wishing it would go back to being the size that it had been before. It would be so much easier to hide then. But it looked like Linea and Siena were running for it, and with the robot in tow. Tori would doubtlessly follow, given her apparent love for the machine she had barely interacted with.

Well they could do that if they wanted to. He'd done a bit much to spend some time cooling his heels in prison, certainly not when he hadn't done anything close enough to being noteworthy by his own standards. What, being in a giant robot that fell apart on its own? It didn't exactly have the sort of attention grabbing moments that won you free drinks at the bar, now did it? And whatever they had in mind, armed soldiers was not his idea of a fun time.

Fortunately, the large scale chaos being caused by the chaos and the monsters as the soldiers advanced was not lost on Alex, and he hauled the Relic after him, if it refused to change back, at the best speed that he could away from the soldiers and towards the Church. He waited for his moment then, and once he had passed by a monster that was near the corner he would swerve down the intersection, away from the ongoing chase. Fortunately there was a convenient distraction nearby for the troops to focus on, and he used it to his advantage as he looked to make his way out of here in a different direction. His Tome activated as well, ready to propel him onto a rooftop in a double back should his path be cut off at some point

But for now the running. At least he was back to something familiar.
Also, if any Machina wanna investigate a farm planet that's suddenly not sending supplies to the armies, feel free to incur the wrath of Sliske and his birb.

Bit busy getting ready to kill one of the demons potential allies at the moment but thanks for the offer
Putting the NPC roster together and the like since I said we were gonna start today. To be honest, I'd like to wait for @Flamelord and @FallenTrinity to finish theirs but a promise is a promise so I'll just start putting together some fluff instead of jumping straight into first combat like I was originally going to do.

I think I have my sheet done now.
Oh btw, the Machina will be getting an actual ally the next battle round.

I thought that was only if the Machina succeed in their side mission. That's what Eos said in the IC
