I see. But, the thing is that we never barred anyone from doing anykind of world building or character development during the interludes. Usually it's inactivity/lack of focus that kills it.

There was never any explicit barring, sure, but I've always gotten this feeling from the talk in the OOC that you guys didn't want things to be poked and prodded any more than the minimum, especially with Windel's recent statement that he doesn't think things need to be examined in detail if only a small minority cares about it. That and I have been wary of doing anything too bold to depart from the stated preferential format of the RP, because I've previously gotten burned for doing my own thing

Well, as long as the actual suggestion (part two of the previous post) is taken into account then I promise to restrict my comments to just blaming the Jester for everything without serious analysis. Windel isn't the only one who can be lazy.
Well, I hope not.

Sadly the monster girls have better PR than we do. Somebody should have taken that as a power.
@Flamelord

Let me see if I understood what you were trying to propose. You want more meaningful events that develop the setting instead of random battles like some of the past ones, right?

If so, I have some ideas that might interest you. In fact, the next battle can very well be the one I scraped in order to open room for Arcadia since there seemed to be a demand for a battle with simple objectives and ample room for flying, which is why Arcadia came out in the shape it was.

For the next battle we might do something focused on the Machina, since they need more development as a whole. An incursion on their lands that might reveal more about their society seems to be an interesting beginning.

Yes, though my consideration there is twofold. My initial intent had been for myself and whomever else wanted to come along to have some segments during the interlude that would help to flesh out the factions, which would not involve the GMs insofar as they would make sure we aren't getting off base with previously explained lore.

While I was thinking on that I did realize that this far the War hasn't seemed so much as a war as it was akin to the Scramble For Africa, with the majority of mission types being fighting over unclaimed land. So some fights either on pre-established front lines or attacking into enemy territory would help give it more of a proper feel for the sort of conflict that it is supposed to be
I get the feeling like Beacon is going to be the first arc villains. qq
For an actual suggestion, battles to kinda reflect the War a bit more would be cool. Like reinforcing an ongoing fight or trying to seize land from a faction, as opposed to the race to control unclaimed territory that has been the majority thus far. Like Alt Signua, though not necessarily that important.

It's a bit hard to flesh out areas considering the only lands in the Nexus are Heaven, Hell, Hyperion, and Neutral territories. I mean, I guess you could try and do something with a Neutral territory but what would that entail? Assuming that even matters anymore.

You were told off because the three main areas, that being Heaven, Hell, and Hyperion, are already developed and fleshing them out more is only bringing back a dead horse. That, and it's easy to read the majority of your statements in snark.

It is entirely possible to flesh out the Nexus in terms of inside those specific factions as opposed to a grand scale. Most of the fleshing out has been physical descriptions or single sentences like 'humans are slaves' that could be elaborated on. But if you think that the Nexus is perfect as is then I won't bother.
@Flamelord

So what suggestions are you making then? Because unless I'm reading wrong, which seems to be a theme between us two, everything you've suggested is already implemented.

I do not need anything implemented. As I just said, when I inquired with you as to where acceptable areas for fleshing out aspects of the Nexus were, so as to not interfere with whatever you have developed, I was told off. That is the extent of my current grievances, and I did not think I was being particularly enigmatic about that.
Shocking though it may sound, I know that I signed up for a war rp. But I was challenged by Windel to correct the faults in the worldbuilding that I had previously noted. After pointing out that this was a War rp, I then asked Windel for suggestions for stuff to elaborate on that wouldn't conflict with his plans or his lore. In turn I was told to read his mind to figure out what he would be okay with. This has led me to believe that he doesn't actually want me to do anything, and your aggressive response backs that up.

If you want me shut up and tow your line then I will. Just say it straight up and don't do all this evasive bs that just causes and extends more arguments than it solves.
I mean you say that, but I'm leery because I have had bad experiences where Wibdel has decided that the ideas I've had are not moving to his satisfaction, being forced back into what he wants me to do. Forgive me for being sceptical that it won't happen here too when he and KoL have a bunch of ridiculously powerful people to lay down the hammer with.
Meh, I'm not going to waste my energy trying to play a guessing game of 'read the GMs mind'. Windel is clearly okay with the current status quo in spite of whatever flaws there may be, so why bother doing something that could ruin his fun by worldbuilding the Nexus in a manner he doesn't want.
@Flamelord Her current strategy for the symbiote is "Uuuuuh.. Let's ignore this problem and hope it goes away."

Meant more when that scene was over, but I get what you mean.
