I do agree with Yandere's sentiment that words not wording workingly do be a problem this time of year.

Scratch that, place your bets on polymarket.

Looks like I'll be working on memorial day weekend. And no, this does not mean place any bets on polymarket.

due to a typo on my part I was nearly convinced I owed the IRS nearly $3000 in excess taxes this year.

Bio

-There will be delays in replies. Largely due to working overtime, voluntary obligations; other RPs and online-things may compete for my attention.

'Bout me:
Started RPing (badly) back in '05, mostly doing nation-RPs with an emphasis on technology and strategy, later edging out to character-espionage and military-tactics before doing "less serious" character roleplays that were outside of the 2005-2008 continuity.

That's when I went to Dead-Frontier, and found the RP community there, joined a clan, did some pretty good roleplays and pretty much loosened-up my online-personality. When the clan-leader decided to move her RPs here, most of the clan followed.

Took a course in technical-writing back in '08, so now I may sometimes use the semicolon correctly.

In 2010 I dusted off the old nation-RP continuity I had, doing a few hetelia-esque RP-shenanigans there..

RP-Habbits: I tend to geek-out on little technical-details, and sometimes infer how those details would impact the background of the roleplay. Great for world-building, not so great when you had a perfectly good plotline and I just MacGyver it off the rails (though I usually er to the side of amusement, sometimes it creates very grim side-stories).

Hey I'm doing two characters as well. I know you asked how to go about it, here's my advice,

They at tools for your story. If one says something and the other doesn't need to, don't force the other to say anything.

They are paints to your canvas. You have red and blue. Don't use red just because its there. Paint your own picture!!!

Hope that made sense and/or helped.

Also, mixing red and blue too close together far too often usually ends in an ugly shade of gray all over the canvas.

When everything was ready, she stepped back with her hands held together, relaxed. She took a deep breath: "Your outfit is ready, Miss Mutan Godie." She announced, calmly, despite the constant apprehension that she would disapprove of her selection.

"This is... Less than practical.", Mutan states plainly, as she eyes the garments, "I haven't worn these in years, besides."

"But it would look so good on you." Tenna started, as she took the hangar off the hook and waved the dress in front of Mutan in hopes it would look more appealing, "Besides, when else are you going to even have the chance to dress nicely? Or are you saying you would rather wear a poncho and a pair of combat-boots during your entire stay in your father's house?"

When that didn't work, Tenna tried the more direct approach,

"We both know you're trying to score some points with your parents, just remind them that no matter what, you're still their favorite youngest daughter, and that you aren't doing this to hurt them."

Will Taggart was a bit flabbergasted at Gabel's behavior, it was as though she was still expecting someone, some sort of authority she could recognize, and until then in her mind she was in charge of the house. Still, the girl was hungry, so was he. Her terms seemed reasonable as he volunteered to operate the stove and make sure not to waste a single precious drop of water boiling-over.

Since she was in the room he decided it was a good time to get to know their hostess:

"So, you waiting for anyone to come pick you up? I heard over the radio there was an aid-station in Wilmington being run on 8th street. They claim to have food and barricades. Doesn't sound like the safest place, but maybe they got sidetracked over to there and lost hope?"

@Foster Was that your character from Northwards? I seem to recall him breaking his legs..

Also, points for the Red v. Blue link.

Nah, that was an OC named Ash sometime shortly before the Evil-Dead reboot.

As I said, he fell from a flying helicopter, landed in the street as the plane crashed, mutilating a street-load of walkers into crawlers and ludicrous gibbs...

Then we had some time to see who or what was faster. Ash with a blood-encrusted .357 snub revolver, or a whole metric-tone of crawling undead.

You'd have also likely remembered if I made entire posts in raw morse-code.

mis-keys and speeling erors included.

Ash died by sitting on a hand-grenade as a bunch of headcrabs overran his position.

Going to be getting back into character for another post.

Ironic-note, one time I RPed a guy in a remote cabin trying to furiously contact the outside-world with morse-code on a hand-made radio while surrounded by vaguely-intelligent zombies upon which headshots did nothing.

Oh, and he was missing a hand, he then had both his legs shattered when he fell from his rescue-chopper... and right into the midst of a couple-thousand crippled crawlers.

Who's laughing now?
Everything looks good, except for Place of Residence. Just change that to Wilmington, Delaware, or go on Google maps and find a nearby town and put that in. I'm not from Delaware either, so I have no first-hand knowledge of the setting (I doubt most on here do), but I make do using google earth and maps and such. I want the setting -- and character interaction with the setting -- to be as genuine as possible. Fix that, and you're accepted.

In short, America is a big place, English-Russia "We have 6 timezones" big.

Europe has only 3.

So an American saying they haven't been to Delaware is like a British person never been to Switzerland, if Switzerland had a history of smelling like garbage-barges.

Kinda funny that more Americans have been to are currently in Iraq than in Wyoming. Yes, Iraq now has the population of Wyoming in US military forces. Luckily nothing has escalated to a Delaware-drop, we have a space-program, y'know.
