I do agree with Yandere's sentiment that words not wording workingly do be a problem this time of year.

Scratch that, place your bets on polymarket.

Looks like I'll be working on memorial day weekend. And no, this does not mean place any bets on polymarket.

due to a typo on my part I was nearly convinced I owed the IRS nearly $3000 in excess taxes this year.

-There will be delays in replies. Largely due to working overtime, voluntary obligations; other RPs and online-things may compete for my attention.

'Bout me:
Started RPing (badly) back in '05, mostly doing nation-RPs with an emphasis on technology and strategy, later edging out to character-espionage and military-tactics before doing "less serious" character roleplays that were outside of the 2005-2008 continuity.

That's when I went to Dead-Frontier, and found the RP community there, joined a clan, did some pretty good roleplays and pretty much loosened-up my online-personality. When the clan-leader decided to move her RPs here, most of the clan followed.

Took a course in technical-writing back in '08, so now I may sometimes use the semicolon correctly.

In 2010 I dusted off the old nation-RP continuity I had, doing a few hetelia-esque RP-shenanigans there..

RP-Habbits: I tend to geek-out on little technical-details, and sometimes infer how those details would impact the background of the roleplay. Great for world-building, not so great when you had a perfectly good plotline and I just MacGyver it off the rails (though I usually er to the side of amusement, sometimes it creates very grim side-stories).

Holy shit the a e s t h e t i c .

Seems like a waste for that post to be in the middle or bottom of the page, would've made for an awesome page-header.
Right, Troy may feel free to disregard Katya's "advice".

Since she has an awful habbit of giving orders when she isn't supposed to.
-Since Viv would be 2iC, followed by Sparr, then Katya.

So really the only way Katya can actually order Troy around is if her and Sparr actually agreed on something or everyone else on the team was dead or cut-off.

At the same time, Troy has been with the team for longer than Sparr and Katya put together.
And since Troy knows all the Frames inside and out... why is she even bothering?
Katushya had also been monitoring the same radio broadcast, one part because it slightly helped with figuring out what was going-on without waiting for Miss Starvos to repeat every tiny detail to the rest of the team, and also so she wouldn't have to tune into her team's frequency and listen to Eve, Viv, Cami and Troy bicker. Still, she started up her engines and tuned back to them just as the words "big deal" were being broadcast.

The three unidentified bogies were coming in from the west-northwestly direction, Camile was over to her south a ways, so Miss Katukov kept well enough to the north flank. The going was sluggish, largely because the hydraulics in Yassir's legs were still running cold, like she had molasses for muscles, the engine strained to push the thick viscus fluid through the pistons, but they were moving; more importantly, she was gaining momentum.

"Troy, you keep the bunker warm or something, this could be just a diversion. Besides, you've already got the range to assist, and it's probably nothing. But just in case, get your systems warmed-up, just like a preflight-check." She was issuing orders without permission again, but she really didn't want to risk them losing this contract just because they all scurried to the sight of some teens on mopeds.... Besides, she was almost certain Sparr had already left the trench to engage Camile in fisticuffs over losing the dashball-bet.

They were a dysfunctanal bunch of dillenquents, but they were part of her team, and this dysfunctalan team was on top because they played to win.
Its alot about shifting balance and swinging (longswords and polarms have plenty of inertia), while always keeping in mind when you can get a free kick, bash, punch, or headbutt.

Limitations are on range of motion in wrists, requiring some forthought in not getting "locked up".
-Mistakes and sticky situations happen, and when they do, it all hinges on your warrior's ability to MacGyver their way out of it.

If sparring with undetermined outcome, you'll want to pace things out to what you can do on a single breath.
*You can "lead" your post with pre-planned counter-strokes, speeding-up the fight scenes a bit.
I was wondering how to put on an archer's bow in RP?

I was wondering how you 'properly' put on a bow...

Y'mean how to sling one?

If a long/recurve/stick and you don't plan on shooting it that day, you can unstring it for storage and carry it that way.

Some people just put their body through it... not terrible for longbows. Not pleasant for compound-bows.

But most of the time people do a field-carry, hand on the grip, arms relaxed. So long as you don't drop it you're fine. Bows aren't particularily heavy aside from some compound-bows.

Ah! I need help again.

How does one fight with a glaive in a RP? I can't seem to find any references other than videos online. I'd go and search it up on Wikipedia but I trust you guys more. XD

Spear/polarm skills.

This should cover it

Why polarm names aren't a thing

Longsword techniques from the german school of fencing may also apply in 1 v 1 combat, which can get pretty close-quarters.
Funny Guy
Smelly Cat

Being mistaken for the GM... by the GM.

I'd say my biggest pet peeve is when you apply to an IntChk with a cruel white mercenary woman in her 40's and then the GM tells you "Well, I like it, except for..." And by the time they're done changing it you've got a genderbent My Little Pony that likes kittens and cupcakes.

You do realize these two things aren't mutually exclusive, right?

So she's got a bit of a sweet tooth, and stops for kittens... and is a cruel little old mare that kills people in their spare time... kinda like 4chan... well, not sure about the killing part.

I think I may very well have this talent of which you speak. Talent is a funny way to describe it though. Curse would've been the word I'd have used. Perhaps I should go on a holy pilgrimage of some kind to purge myself of this unholy affliction. I just need a warrior, a black Mage, a thief, and a white Mage to join my party.

Dibbs on thief!

Mildly in character:

Survaillence?

... yaaaaay.

Someone sedate Sparr for this one.

I understand that Viv can cover truckloads of ground and keep a high-profile presence over the place, and maybe get a little reckless up there.

Katya doesn't mind not being shot at for once, and being able to have a pretty nice fixed base of operations.
>Helps build a super-cozy pillbox for Odin and Matryoshka

edit: Oh, contact.

Well then. Maybe waiting for Viv to give them a low-pass so they know that we know would be good enough to scare them off.
-In no way can that end badly with Viv getting shot at, nope. Not at all possible.
