When you've had a world that you built, by 'hand', with help from others that spans over many,many millenia that goes from Science Fantasy to Medieval Fantasy and back. Culture,language(really just borrowed because lazy at the time),military organization, map building, pantheon building, history building....All of it. and now I look at it, and I see many inconsistencies...and I want to right that wrong. but since I started so late in it looks very hard to actually start and I don't want to give up on this setting. It tears at me! It's been annoying me the last few days that I can't figure out where to start!@The Mage

I think I've been there.
-Except a dystopic corprate-run backwater in a technology-driven future (moon bases 'n stuff)

I generally just roll with it and hope that the soft-retcon of a forum-crash and/or admin/mod-war or three buries most inconsistances as "ancient lore only still taught by the old supersticious few". The perform a rewrite so dredging that lore up is completely optional.

I also seem to be adding quite a bit of... tension into my posts lately. Of all varieties. And then refusing to resolve it.

General Skills:Positional warfare and infiltration. She understands that getting to the best ground first is often half the battle, the other half is getting to it unseen. She is particularily good at finding routes for their mechs to close with the enemy undetected.

History

Years of Combat Experience: 4
Background: A former Martian freedom-fighter her unit was issued with second-hand FRAMES after the PU was already well-equipped to deal with the threat. Constant supply-problems and frequent breakdowns from skating across blood-red sand-dunes meant her squad operated under-strength in guerilla-warfare, often the pilots functioned as light infantry while the few remaining FRAMES provided much-needed fire-support to their guerrilla campaign.

On more than one occasion, civilian-FRAMES were pressed into service either just to keep a few more frames running, or retained simply because their smaller size was better suited to the sort of operations they conducted. It was during these times Glashya's mannerisms became compared to that of a stray alleycat, the moniker stuck. That, and her unit's tendancy to rig-up impressive improvised rocket-barrages to soften-up the ITA garrisons before a raid.

When the war ended, their independence secured, there was a massive draw-down and disarmament of their forces as the colonists focused its resources on rebuilding and caring for their war-torn people, an act that quickly highlighted the difference between the colonists and the ITA imperiralists. Glashya's unit was one of the first to be scrapped, handing in many of their converted FRAMES for economic development, while nearly all their best FRAMES ended up being conglomerated into a single centralized unit under the ITA paramilitary.

Angered by her new vestigial purpose in the military, sitting behind a desk, she quit and stole an ungaurded surplus FRAME and hit the mercenary-market to settle some old scores.

Armaments

Fixed Armaments: AGL-6 Grenade Launcher, for anti-personal and close-protection purposes.

Shoulder usually mounts a twin 106mm recoilless rifle when the FRAME isn't helping haul any specialized heavy (static) weapons.
Hand Armaments: ShPG-N "Shpagin" Gas-operated double-barreled autocannon, either in 23x115mm or 14.5x114mm, or some combination. Although the low-velocity 23mm HE shells lack armor penetration, they have significantly better fragmation characteristics than 20mm autocannons against soft targets. The 14.5mm option has better penetration. This dual-caliber approach was taken to keep the platform lightwieght, manageable, and reliable.

Equipment & Design Features

Equipment: A multi-spetral jammer mounted along the waist for defeating guided missiles, while a shotgun-like active protective system mounted in the FRAME's 'crown' deals with anything that gets through like a very-long-standoff radar-guided ERA-plate. This reduced the need to plaster the SANI's frame in bulky panels, plates, or fitting immense shields. However, the APS can malfunction, which will sound a warning within the cockpit similar to when it has been triggered. Both systems will give an indication on where the operator took fire from, and may attempt to some form of response.
