I do agree with Yandere's sentiment that words not wording workingly do be a problem this time of year.

Scratch that, place your bets on polymarket.

Looks like I'll be working on memorial day weekend. And no, this does not mean place any bets on polymarket.

due to a typo on my part I was nearly convinced I owed the IRS nearly $3000 in excess taxes this year.

-There will be delays in replies. Largely due to working overtime, voluntary obligations; other RPs and online-things may compete for my attention.

'Bout me:
Started RPing (badly) back in '05, mostly doing nation-RPs with an emphasis on technology and strategy, later edging out to character-espionage and military-tactics before doing "less serious" character roleplays that were outside of the 2005-2008 continuity.

That's when I went to Dead-Frontier, and found the RP community there, joined a clan, did some pretty good roleplays and pretty much loosened-up my online-personality. When the clan-leader decided to move her RPs here, most of the clan followed.

Took a course in technical-writing back in '08, so now I may sometimes use the semicolon correctly.

In 2010 I dusted off the old nation-RP continuity I had, doing a few hetelia-esque RP-shenanigans there..

RP-Habbits: I tend to geek-out on little technical-details, and sometimes infer how those details would impact the background of the roleplay. Great for world-building, not so great when you had a perfectly good plotline and I just MacGyver it off the rails (though I usually er to the side of amusement, sometimes it creates very grim side-stories).

Granted, but now everybody speaks bad chinese slang.

@Foster 70 pounds?! I'm guessing we're talking longbow or compound here. My recurve is only a little over half that (36) and its taken me three years to build that up (partly money based). At least if it is compound the resting poundage is a lot lower.

-I was shooting southpawed since I was twelve, so... yeah... gonna take me awhile (about a decade, easy) to get on that level with my other shoulder. I've got a plywood recurve (RH only) set to 50 pounds (plus 10 pounds because of overdraw... long-arms) waiting for me, in the meantime. Right now playing with 30-40 pounds on sight-less fiberglass recurves at about ten to twenty meters on 40cm targets (NFAA indoor scoring rules).
-I did mention I occassionally volunteer as an archery instructor, right?

Kinda wishing this riding lawn mower would just fix itself and work properly like a good honest proletariate lawn-mower.

Granted, you get stuck in a daydream-loop from which you never wake up from, thinking this is reality.

[Inception foghorn noise]

Granted...but they're all doing archery and thats all they talk about...reminding you of the fact you can't shoot.

(Left eye dominant? You can retrain in your right eye, sure you'll have to get a different riser , sight and stuff but lets be honest...you are now right eye dominant if you can't see out your left ^^ but I'll shut up, I'm sure you've thought of all that)

I wish the news wasn't so depressing.

Granted, it wasn't. Actually I can still manage with a lefty-bow (although the old settings on the sight-pins are beyond useless due to a completely different anchor-point needed to get my right-eye in-line [it's about an inch or two lower]), and it'll take awhile to build up the shoulder-muscles to pull a seventy-pounder right-handed... But I'm getting there.

I wish CNN would stop trying to predict the future. They aren't good at it.
Banned because it was punishment for that rabid rodent stealing his daughter's ball of rice.
