Current I do agree with Yandere's sentiment that words not wording workingly do be a problem this time of year.

Scratch that, place your bets on polymarket.

Looks like I'll be working on memorial day weekend. And no, this does not mean place any bets on polymarket.

due to a typo on my part I was nearly convinced I owed the IRS nearly $3000 in excess taxes this year.

Being snowed-in on a monday after a 60 hour week is... surprisingly relaxing.

-There will be delays in replies. Largely due to working overtime, voluntary obligations; other RPs and online-things may compete for my attention.

'Bout me:
Started RPing (badly) back in '05, mostly doing nation-RPs with an emphasis on technology and strategy, later edging out to character-espionage and military-tactics before doing "less serious" character roleplays that were outside of the 2005-2008 continuity.

That's when I went to Dead-Frontier, and found the RP community there, joined a clan, did some pretty good roleplays and pretty much loosened-up my online-personality. When the clan-leader decided to move her RPs here, most of the clan followed.

Took a course in technical-writing back in '08, so now I may sometimes use the semicolon correctly.

In 2010 I dusted off the old nation-RP continuity I had, doing a few hetelia-esque RP-shenanigans there..

RP-Habbits: I tend to geek-out on little technical-details, and sometimes infer how those details would impact the background of the roleplay. Great for world-building, not so great when you had a perfectly good plotline and I just MacGyver it off the rails (though I usually er to the side of amusement, sometimes it creates very grim side-stories).

Not sure if I want to make her magic-use canon in this one (Non-racial ability, just a fuckton of arcane studies)... As I'm pretty sure it'd be a tad overpowered and I'm pretty sure this dimension doesn't support that kind of magic.

That or she can, but chooses not to unless it's just to make life super-convenient.

Lilith was probably the one most confused by the situation in front of her. Despite being weighed down by all of Mimi's things, Lilith managed to keep pace with her smaller companion; what she'd seen is Mimi running up and hugging a fairy Mini-Mimi named Momo, and suddenly didn't feel so bad about startling her earlier.

No sooner had Mimi slain the raptor, a shot screeched past her, colliding with a tree in a shower of fine ice-crystals. If she looked to see where it had come from -and up- she would have seen Lilith perched on a tree-branch, waving at her with one of her... legs? As her arms were busy loading another ice-bolt into her crossbow. The next shot landed short, leaving a thin ice-trail leading back to her in a parabolic arc. She secured the other end of this precarious ice-bridge to the tree, and swung through the air on her whip, causing her to land gracefully on the ice-bridge and slide down it while it crumbled behind her. Astonishingly, this all happened in complete silence.

Lilith had landed with far more grace than one could assume from a drider her size, as she picked up Mimi and kissed them on the forehead in her warm embrace, "That was amazing! You had me worried back there!" She then set her companion gently on the ground and shushed them with a finger on their lips as she channeled her ability to make every noise around them louder. Something big had landed close-by... Hefting her grenade-launcher, she signaled for Mimi to check it out, quietly.
Lilith, Age 20

But she'd learned how to freeze and silence/amplify things.
-And Mimi was a very skiddish (and tiny) bunnygirl.

Anyways... back to hunting gremlins with a gun.

Oh geeze I forgot about that lol. Yeah, we can still make that canon.

Iris is simultaneously Lilith's voice of reason, and her incorrigible accomplice of mischief. You can guess which one is getting a pep-talk.

Wolf is like: "Alright, let's DO THIS!"
Iris be like: "Just because you're excited, I want to say no..."

That song came out after the end of America’s involvement in the war.

I’m gonna put more up in that post now just because.

Hacktually, Aerosmith debut'd in 1973 a few weeks before the Paris Peace Accords were signed, and a plucky band of American marines returned for an ill-fated hostage-rescue in late-1975 by popular demand. Lost a few CH-53s on that island assault but I'm pretty sure referencing Shadow on the Sun would be very anachronistic.

But yeah, aside from that and maybe some seal-team shenanigans, US ground-troops were out by August 1972. Fall of Saigon wasn't until 1975, though.

The other significance of April 30th
You did not just ask barely clinging to humanity Iris to go revenge hunting gremlins with spider lady!

Okay, where's the shock collar?

Lilith can just inject some paralytic antiseptic neurotoxin into Iris if she gets too overstimulated hunting.

Granted, she'll probably metabolize it out of her system in five minutes, but that should be plenty long enough.

h-edit: *casually hides Lilith's future-tech grenade-launcher from Rebecca by sliding it under the bed with her foot*

But using the bullwhip against gremlins is just plain fun.

You gotta show off them arms man! You lift that meat every day dude! Show off your gains!

Omg the beast just turned into a gym bro and I'm legit considering it.

The stupid meathead-wolf being a gym-bro is still canon, right?

Lilith followed Iris's lead, and her story as she took a soda for herself without really paying much attention to what flavor it was. She'd never really spent much time with Iris, as she'd tended to keep to herself an awful lot, but she seemed to be a gernous hostess.

She watched as the werewolf tore into the raw steak and casually sprawl out on the couch as she heard the invitation to relax a bit and tell her about their day to probably distract them from their own problems long enough for them to go away. After a quick glance around the room, she'd decided there wasn't any seats built for her so she just sat on the floor and the foot of the couch beside Iris and let her legs sprawl across the floor and mostly underneath the coffee-table.

"Frustratingly tedious, sadly." She sighed, "as you know, there are gremlins in this building too. They're staying clear of the clinic to the best of my knowledge, basically since causing a death or complicating any grievous injuries would be a breach of their accords. But the computer network and wiring has been fair-game. Mostly I've been trying to keep busy by keeping Eildh company and fixing any faults in the wiring... one of the gremlins apparently broke into the spare ethernet and laid a trail up to the roof and through the pool at building three before cutting the actual internet... Even though I knew it was a prank, I was compelled to follow that 500 meter line to the end. After that I went back to Eildh's to rest and dry-off and maybe get some praise for my work... Then I felt you shaking the building again and so I let you in and you know the rest."

She paused, almost hesitating, although eye-contact regarding a drider is kinda meaningless when they have all-round vision, she made a point to make an effort to give Iris some face-time rather than seemingly staring off into the void and watching Iris's facial-reactions from the security-feeds. "Being in building two is a like living in a cage. Sure, we can use the bracelets to venture outside for a few hours, but that's hardly any time to just be myself. I spent a year at the academy learning to be an adventurer, eight years if you account the the multi-dimensional time-dilation." Then she smiled not-so-innocently at Iris, "What do you say we remind the gremlins that we aren't locked in here with them, they're locked in here with us? Perhaps we'll even find the one that tried to lock you outside."
BTW, the second choice video:

Bonus points if you know the story behind each clip of footage.

Nobody, absolutely No-one: Nothing

Wolf Spooders:

So when should Iris get a 70 inch plasma screen TV?
-Side note: apparently a wolf-spider scaled to human size can sprint up to 65 mph.

Lilith was literally shaken awake from her hammock in Eildh's apartment, and promptly set out to investigate as the banging grew louder, from anyone watching the centaur's stream, it was just another funny background event as she practically fell from her hammck and stumbled out the door trying to get her bearings. She thought she'd heard shouting as she closed the apratment-door and started for the stairs, hearing a gremlin running away and giggling as she completely ignored the steps and curled around to the ground-floor cieling and headed for the reception-hall door, re-orienting herself on the floor as she passed the threshold and saw the cause for the bad foundational vibrations. A very peeved-off werewolf trying to forcibly gain entry to the complex.

"You're back early, Ms Madril." Lilith stated as she opened the door. She'd meant to ask if it was something she'd want to talk about, but she'd known Iris just long enough not to pry into any of her bad-moods lest she make things worse. Usually it was for the best to make sure she had the opprotunity to properly relax after their ordeal.

Without asking, she decided it was best to follow her to their apartment. For one, in case she felt like 'venting' her frustration, it may as well have been with the one resident in building two with some manner of combat-training even if it were a lifetime ago; she'd seen glimpses of her appartment and it'd be a nice change of pace to just hang around until she'd overstayed her welcome.
Building-two. But yeah, Lilith will take a break from crashing Eildh's @Silver Carrot stream.

Those lights basically would cause havoc with her eyes.
Would it be easier if Lilith came out of her hole (likely in a quest for food) to check on Iris, @BunniesOfDoom?
