The only thing that Mouse remembered upon regaining consciousness was fainting. She wasn't sure what it was that made her faint, but she did remember Kyy freaking out for some reason...and him saying something about...zombies. The memories came flushing back into her mind, the stone-gray face of the now bloody and brainless Ms. Fall shambling outside, which she now remembered was what caused her faint. Mouse's eyes shot open, finding Kyy breaking a mop in half, appearing to be trying to make a makeshift weapon, saying something about having to leave in order to get to some sort of transportation outside. Followed by him was a girl picking up a fire extinguisher, opening the door and checking for monsters. And then, Mouse started thinking.

Mouse was always thinking. She was just that kind of girl. But there were times when she thought harder than usual, and when she did, she turned into a whole new person, one that, in the past, only her few friends had gotten to see, one without fear, or anxiety, or any negative emotion. One that was simply focused on the task at hand. And that's what was happening at that very moment. She stood up from her position on the ground, and stood up straight, a contrast from the mousy girl who kept herself hunched over to make herself appear smaller. She pulled her hair behind her head, tying it into a pony tail, showing the face she usually hid behind her unkempt main. She then stretched out an arm, her index finger pointing at the girl with the fire extinguisher.

"You. I suggest you close that door." She said, before turning around, not waiting to see if the girl would follow her command. She then walked to the back of the room, reetrieving the notebook she had thrown there earlier. She flipped it open, read for a moment, and then shut it, sliding it under her arm. "Just as I thought. The hallways are not the best way of getting downstairs." Mouse began pacing around the room, until she reached the teacher's desk, which she started rummaging through. "There's a drain pipe outside we can climb down. And if you're worried about the now cannibalistic Ms. Fall out there, don't be. We've got the higher ground. All we have to do is throw things at her, and if the wild assumption of Kyy's is correct and she is a zombie, then one hit to the head should be enough to take her out." Mouse then stepped away from the desk, now holding a roll of duct tape and two yard sticks. She then sauntered over to a table in the back of the room, on top of which a swingline paper cutter sat, the blade of which she lifted. "However, if the drain pipe is too risky for you, there's always the vents. The upstairs and downstairs vents are connected. If you don't mind a bit of a fall, that'll get you most of the way to the door. However, not all of you will fit. Probably just Chi, fire extinguisher girl, blondie, and I will be able to fit. As she spoke, she appeared to be having trouble with the paper cutter. "Hey, Kyy, you're strong, right? Do me a solid and help me break this thing off."
Alright! Nobody post until my next one. I've got a plan.
Actually, when I got home from my pub crawl the other night, I saw the wave of posts and sorta just said fuck it. I'll see about maybe getting a post out tomorrow.
It might take me a while to get a post out, so thanks for waiting! ^_^
Alright, what do y'all say we wait for @MissCapnCrunch to post our posts. I don't want her to be overwhelmed by a wave of posts when she gets back on.

After a few minutes of waiting, Mouse realized something odd: their teacher was nowhere to be seen. Ms. Fall was a very disciplined woman, and, to Mouse's knowledge, had never been late for class. But Mouse decided to try to ignore it. Perhaps there was some emergency. Or maybe they had a clueless substitute today, unsure of where to go. But even as she tried to blast logic into the ears of the growing anxiety in her gut, Dick Van Dyke was singing in the back of her brain: Wind's in the east, mist comin' in. Like something is brewin' about to begin. Can't put me finger on what lies in store... Then she could've sworn she heard something in the distance. It sounded like a scream. She lifted her head to look for reactions from her classmates, but they simply continued to talk amongst themselves. She tried to tell herself it was nothing, that it was just her mind playing tricks on her, but her heart seemed to outrun her mind, beating faster than she could form thoughts. Then, suddenly, she felt a something grab her waist, pulling her backward.

"AAAAEEEEEK!" She exclaimed, jumping out of the mystery person's arms, her notebook flying from her hands and landing across the hall. Her exclamation wasn't a yelp, nor a squeal, but a full on scream, one that caused the students around her to pause and look at her, before returning to their chatter. Mouse settled down, however, when she saw that it was only Chi, one of Mouse's other friends that she shared English with. And just like that, all the anxiety she was feeling moments before was gone. Angst was like a balloon in that regard. No matter how full it gets, all it takes is a sudden jab with a needle to make it all go away. "Jesus Chi, you startled me." she said, catching her breath.

You look bummed," Chi said, "What's up Mini Mousey?"

"Oh, nothing important...It's just Kyy-" she began, but was almost immediately cut off by the familiar voice of the very same person she was about to complain about yelling her name through the halls. A few seconds later, he came into view.

"Kyy?! What's wrong? What's happening?"
No one minds if I name the English teacher, right?
Not my best work, but it'll do.
There are few things worse than a zombie apocalypse. A meteor crashing into Earth, putting a quick end to all living things for example. That way, everyone would die a painless death. Another example would be a robotic uprising, for then it would not be the familiar faces of friends and family trying to kill you, but rather the emotionless tin cans that science fiction presents to us. There is one thing, however, that has always been and always will be worse than zombies: calculus. Even star student Melody Mayani, or Mouse as she strangely preferred to be called, couldn't bare it. And it was for this reason that, as soon as she was done with all of the work the teacher asked of her, she flipped open the newest issue of the series The Walking Dead and began reading it under her desk, finally escaping the dreadful grasp of calculus and had landing gratefully into the clutches of the undead.

It wasn't long after Mouse started reading that the bell rung, signifying the end of class. As she closed her comic book and slid it, along with her binder and math book, into her already brimming backpack, she was already thinking about her next class. Alright, next I have English, which means that I need to have...this out. she thought, proceeding to pull out a spiral notebook, inside of which was all of her notes on the school's architecture, which she was doing an essay on. Prior to the assignment, she had no interest in architecture, but in her research, she had grown passionate for the art, so much so that she was actually looking forward to English. Of course, that was only a half the reason. The other half was that English was one of the only classes that she shared with one of her friends, a boy by the name of Kyysucara Namosaka. She had never really been able to make friends with the arrogant self-proclaimed geniuses that she shared most of her advanced classes with, but English seemed to be the great equalizer, as there were only four courses in the subject, one for each grade.

As Mouse left the classroom, over encumbered backpack upon her shoulders, she started towards the English classroom. It only took a minute to get there, and in front of the classroom, she saw her friend talking to a girl she had seen around but never talked to. She moved to approach him, but as she did, he and the girl started to walk away in the direction of the stairway to the room. Mouse wasn't exactly mad at Kyy. In fact, she wasn't feeling any negative feelings towards Kyy. She couldn't. She knew that it was simply part of his character. She was just disappointed. And so, she simply stood among the students who were going to class, waiting for their teacher to arrive.
