I assume you tried for Cleo and got zilch?
Prologue

On an island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, far off from anything resembling a nation or any semblance of authority, lies a single building made of steel and stone. A heavy contrast to the lush tropical scenery around it, the building stands tall. Before long, a pair of figures begin to approach the building from a road paved with stone. The boat docked at the coast is enough to tell how they got here, but that in and of itself is unimportant.

"Mr. Zeltrech, sir, thank you so much for coming to help us with this. As you know, there have been a lot of issues with the quantum mechanics of the device you've helped draft for us, and--" one man, cloaked in a long lab coat that nearly reaches his feet, began to say before being cut off by the older man to his side.

"No need to say any more. I had expected as much, so just show me what you have so far and I should be able to resolve the issue," the older man responded, a somewhat ambiguous expression on his face as the two near the building. Having stopped his rambling, the former knelt down near a small terminal and pressed a sequence of numbers into the device. A few moments later, and the door slid to the side, revealing not the interior of a building, but a solitary stairwell leading deeper into the island.

"After you, sir."

No more words were exchanged as the two slowly made their way down into the building, which was now more apparently a research facility. The area itself was impeccably clean, with only the occasional scientist or worker passing them by. The two continued farther and farther into the base, until they arrive at a hallway with naught but a door emblazoned with a series of magical sigils. Without another word, the man with the lab coat quickly dispelled the seals on the door, which proceeded to slide upwards and out of sight. Before them is what seems to be a large reactor of some sort, and in the center of it all is a small steel circle with a magic circle carved into it.

The older man, Zeltrech, nodded without another word and stepped forth, his coat flowing behind him as he looked around--not at the device itself, but around the room. With a sigh, Zeltrech massaged his forehead and turned towards the man in the lab coat, who was nervously waiting for the appraisal to come forth.

"The circle is positioned slightly off-center from the leyline that runs through here. I would've thought that you wouldn't have overlooked something so simple," he noted, berating the man beside him before walking forward and shifting the device slightly to the right. Immediately, the circle began to shine, and the man in the lab coat covered his eyes as the light began to cover the entire room. Above that circle, a few more magic circles become visible, showing that the device was constructed from a massive array of magic circles, all layered on top of one another.

"The preparation is complete. Send for the potential Masters now, because I CERTAINLY hope you have been scouting for them across the globe; if we are to have any chance at resolving the crisis ahead of us, we must act quickly."

With an embarrassed face and a hasty "Yes, Mr. Zeltrech, sir!", the other man quickly exited the room, leaving only Zeltrech and the device. The old man's face, which had been up until then a frown, could now be described as a faint grin.

"Hmhm... I wonder how long it'll take them to finish all of this. If I was in my prime, I could be done in a week--no, less."
With a laugh, Zeltrech exited the reactor, leaving the device to continue whirring away.

Plot

This facility, while mostly unassuming, is the location of a device that accurately mimics the abilities of Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg's Second Magic. Built under his supervision, the device itself was built to seek out various singularities that have been appearing in the timeline. The device itself cannot act upon or resolve those singularities, though; it can only create a method by which to reach them.

This is where the Masters come in. While there is no explicit 'Grail War' at the root of the singularities, each one does have a Grail at its core. These Masters are to use the mana present at their current location and summon Servants to aid in retrieving each Grail, at whatever cost necessary. By what means are the Masters chosen?
...
Well, that's Zeltrech's secret screening process.

Forms/Notes

  • Each player must submit both a Servant and a Master form; this information is NOT hidden, given the nature of the RP.
  • There is a maximum of 3 characters, so any player may choose to double up on either Servants or Masters, but not both.
  • The pairings for Masters and Servants are up to you (the players) to decide on. You can opt to play both halves of the duo, or not. Your choice.
  • In regards to alternate classes or versions of a Servant: Only one version of a given Servant may exist at any given point in the timeline, unless stated otherwise (basically NPCs that may or may not appear in the future). No classes outside of the basic 7 are allowed (so no Ruler/Avenger/Saver/Shielder/Etc;). No Alter versions of a character (so sorry all you JAlter fans out there).
  • Be reasonable about Servant abilities. Like... Seriously.
  • Not all Servants have to be pulled from existing Nasuverse lore. They can be, but they don't HAVE to be.

So... Yeah, I think that should be everything? This is still up in the air, though, so I'll wait and see who wants to come and join before getting an actual OoC up. For now.
"...Um. Hm. Yeah, I'm not getting involved in this mess."

Tiral took a single glance at how everything was playing out and decided that regardless of what was happening right now, the situation seemed to... Not be putting the Captain at risk, at least. Though he could've tried to jump in a few moments earlier to help peel that demonic set of armor off, with the situation as strange as it already was, he had decided that adding himself into the equation might've only caused everyone to fumble about a bit more.

So instead, he sat by the frozen body of what was probably the only living conspirator left, if that person with their skull bashed in was anything to go by, and watched as the rest of the Roses frantically (and somewhat dramatically) tried to handle that problem. To be fair, everything seemed surreal to the point where he could probably rewrite everything that had just occurred and spin it as a comedy. With all the insanity and... Somewhat-random nudity, it would probably pass off for a comedy. Either that, or a really weird fever dream.

When he saw the naked-Sult mandhandle the Captain, though, Tiral's eyes widened in shock, his mouth now drawn into a frown. Regardless of what had to be done, there was only so far a person could go when disrespecting those with higher authority.

That line, it seemed, had been crossed.

But before he could make any action of his own, the other Sult had decided to jump in and take matters into her own hands.
...
Well, that was fine, too. But that sort of personality... It was certainly one he would prefer not having to deal with in the future.

With that matter handled, the Captain's orders to move back to the surface were incredibly welcome. The dark, damp, and cold atmosphere of the crypt was starting to mess with his nerves, and though the last of the three traits was mostly his fault to begin with, if everything was resolved, then they could leave this godforsaken place sooner.

"Understood, Captain," Tiral responded, rising to his feet and flicking his hand upwards to drag the unconscious body along with him.
...
"This is going to be really inconvenient, dragging this bastard up the stairs..."

With a few moments of through, Tiral snapped his fingers as an idea came to his head. He could just drag the body back overhead with magic ice, right? Without another fight to have to deal with, his magic reserves were topped off well enough for that.

And so he did. With a quick chant, Tiral caused a giant claw made of ice to stretch down from the ceiling, which then proceeded to pick up the bound body of the man before retracting a bit and moving towards the stairwell.

"They should have some spare clothes near where we left our mounts earlier. She'll be fine until then," he said, glaring at the naked not-Sult for a moment before standing near the stairwell for the others.

"...Actually, demons are too dangerous to leave unbound. You're about as exempt from this as he is," Tiral mentioned offhandedly, motioning towards the man already being carried before another claw of ice descended from the ceiling to pick up the imp from its current location. Once in its grasp, the claw moved along the ceiling to a brick right behind the claw that was already active, at which point it stopped for the moment.

"Well. Shall we leave this accursed place?"
Okay, uh...

@SilverDawn, @Aix, @Zombehs: You guys still there?
*shakes RP around*

Hello, people. You still there? =3=;;
*glances around*

So... Right. Well, in any case, posts would be nice in general. Would appreciate some activity rn.
Hooray Discord!
It's better imho because there's a standalone client and a browser-based version, so yeah.
Sorry for taking a while for that post; the last two days have been a bit chaotic, what with me going off to LoL Worlds semis the last two days. But hey, at least we're done, right?
"...Wait, say what now?!"

Michael stood by in silence with his mouth agape as the fellow he had been talking to--Darius, if what he was saying was any indication of anything--began to talk in one of the most untactful way he could possibly fathom. Normally, he wouldn't take offense to whatever tale he was trying to spin, but painting him as a cowardly shut-in? Now that? That was just RUDE.

"...Ahem," Michael coughed, clearing his throat and interjecting himself back into the conversation. "I'm just gonna... Cut in right here real quick before this escalates any further, alright? Regardless of what has been said already, I'm going to clarify, first and foremost, that I most certainly am not afraid of nature. That aside..."

Well, given the fact that they were in a fantasy world... Would blaming magic work?

"...We were caught in a bit of an incident with some teleportation magic, I guess. As such, we've basically got zero clue where we are or how to get back right now... And, quite frankly, it doesn't seem likely that we'd find any planes or-- Actually, never mind that last part. Point is, though, we're stranded here at the moment, and we'd highly appreciate it if you could help us. At the very least, just pointing us in the general direction of the nearest town would do just as well," he continued, taking into account the maid's words from just now.

...

Before promptly noticing the rather tired-looking girl walking up to the female knight that was currently interrogating them. Um.

"Er... Right. As you can see, not everyone's fully aware of the situation right now, either..."

He could afford to wait in regards to coming up with a better excuse for the train... Right?
Huh. That's a few more people that've watched Rokka no Yuusha than I'd have expected.

Shame it probably won't get a second season, if the DVD sales are anything to go by. But hey, LN translations online, right?
