well actually attempting to a lie which makes no sense in the context of a dating website actually causes more shit because anyone with a quarter of a brain knows people dont join dating websites only looking for freinds.

And I "I'm only on here looking for freinds" isnt generally a rejection, its something they already have on their profile before getting messaged by anyone. But you admitted you know nothing about dating websites so I'm filling you in, you're welcome bud.

I guess I can see that, with apologies to @Dynamo Frokane for being snarky about it. I really wouldn't know since I'm not in the dating\dating site scene, being aro ace myself.

Do they have sites for specifically finding friends? If so then yeah, people should totally go there.

I will say though that my second point still stands: it might just be an attempt at a polite dishonest rejection.

Ive been fortunate that most women who have rejected me have had the balls to just say "I dont see you in that way" or "You're not my type"
Instead of making up some crap about friends. Although I have heard of women joining dating sites just to get free dinner/travel. One dutch girl even admitted that tinder was basically app for 'free tour guides with spending money' now that's depressing.
