No problem! I understand, you know, trying to have a life lol.
Already a month into school of his sixth year, and Logan Hillstead has already given up doing his homework, for the most part. Logan has always been the type of guy to do just enough homework to get by without failing. Ironically though, he could complete every assignment and get full marks because Logan has always had the ability to understand everything going on around him. He mastered charms faster than most of his classmates, he never failed a potion in class (well that is if he even completes it) and he could transfigure any object he wanted. Yet, his effort is barely above 50%.

Logan never understood the point of school and why it was necessary. To him, the real world is the best place to learn. Whenever Logan is home for his summer breaks, he is practicing magic non-stop, disregarding the underage wizarding law. He knew how much he could get away with, without raising suspicion from the Ministry. And he always did it in secret. That was Logan’s problem with school, the fact that it was all just a contest and a way to showcase how awesome, or awful, you are. Why do we need to be put on a pedestal, especially at these fragile young ages?

Due to his lack of effort in classes, that has translated to a very lonely existence for Logan here at Hogwarts. He can count the number of friends he has on one hand. It never has really bothered him. Being an only child, to very recluse parents, Logan grew up alone and learned at a young age how to entertain himself. Books. Yes, Logan Hillstead was the Hermione Granger of his time, to some extent. He was not bouncing around ready to save the world at the drop of a pin. But to him, books were salvation. They were his escape and his resource to all the knowledge he needed. Logan has learned more from reading a book than he has listening to any of his professors in class. Screw society , even the magical society, drilling into kids’ heads how they must learn and be in class in order to succeed.

It was the end of the day, dinner finishing up. Logan technically had an essay due for History of Magic tomorrow, which he hasn’t started. He figured he could jot down something quick, at least to keep Professor Binns off his ass. That ghost seriously annoys him like no other teacher.

Standing from the Slytherin table in the Great Hall, Logan threw his bag over his shoulder. He had sat alone while eating his stew, but no one noticed. They were use to it. Even his few friends rarely ate with him. Logan tends to only want to socialize on the weekends. He is just an outcast and that is how he likes it. He makes his way up to his favorite place: the library. It was quiet and secluded, his two favorite things.

Making his way towards the back, where the books on shelves are covered in dusts and cobwebs, Logan finds his favorite chair and plops down. He pulls out his blank scroll, ink and quill. Time to bullshit his way through another essay.
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry- 2003

It is five years after the final battle at Hogwarts. Voldemort has been defeated by the Chose One, Harry Potter. While the school may still have scars, the students and teachers continued to move on and live life. Classes continued, homework was assigned, Quidditch matches played and young love blooming everywhere.

There are two students, Jason and Logan, who have been at Hogwarts together since their first day. Logan, a 6th year Slytherin, and Jason, 6th year Gryffindor, have been multiple classes together the past six years, but have not said more than two words to each other. That is about to change.

Logan Hillstead
- 16 years, Slytherin, pureblood but family stood against Voldemort during the war, however, did not fight.
- Logan is quiet and mysterious, with a 'fuck off' sort of attitude. Doesn't have many friends and does not try hard in class, despite being a very bright kid.

Marta felt her feet beginning to swell up. How long has she been walking? And why did she decide to wear her heels today, of all days? She knew she was going to have to walk fifteen blocks from her school to her uncle’s estate, and yet she thought it would be best to be fashionable.

Bring a change of shoes. Like mum always says. Marta thought to herself as she took a moment to pause at the street corner, checking to make sure she there were no cars coming. She glanced down at her wristwatch. Half past four. At this rate, she was going to be late, but no one would be shocked. Marta was never on time. Even if her father had a car ready to drive her to where she needed to be, she would still manage to find a way to be late. And today was no different, but today she had a valid excuse, or at least a valid excuse in her mind.

It was her uncle’s 50th birthday today. Her mother has been planning the dinner for months and Marta was not allowed to forget. How could she though, when every night this past week, before Marta would go to bed, her mother would say “Don’t forget about Uncle Max’s birthday on the 5th.”

So the day is here: October 5th, 1938. Marta had school all morning. She was in her final year and she could not be more excited. Next fall, she would be living in Berlin studying music and art. Her passion of playing the piano has driven her to study hard and practice everyday, and the payoff is the knowledge that in less than a year, she would be an independent female living with a roommate in the “big city”.

Because her mother decided that the shindig needed to start as early as possible, in order for it to go as long as possible, Marta had to go straight from her classes in uptown to her Uncle’s estate 15 blocks south. Her father insisted, like always, having a car sent, but Marta declined, wanting to have the peace and quiet of that 30 minute walk. That 30 minutes has so far been 40 minute, plus the extra 15 minutes Marta took to change. She would not show up in her school uniform of a wool, grey skirt and button down, long-sleeved blouse. It was by no means fashionable. So when her lessons completed for the day, Marta slipped into the ladies’ lavatory and slipped on her favorite red and white polka dot wrap dress. The hem landed just below her knees and it was low-cut enough to make the boys wonder, without being labeled as improper. She touched up her make-up and spritz on her favorite Chanel perfume and was ready to go.

Lost in her train of thought, Marta did not realize she has been standing at the same street corner for a few minutes. Was it her mind’s way of delaying in the inevitable? Marta loved her Uncle Max, but she also knew her mother had a secret agenda with this party. Ever since Marta turned 16, her mother has made it her life goal to find Marta a husband. Getting married is something Marta would like to do one day, but her passion is her music right now. Marriage would come later, but her mother being old-fashioned, felt it was important for a girl to wed as soon as possible. And that husband must be handsome, rich, and smart. Everything a girl “desires”.

Marta isn’t attracted to the types of men, or in her mind boys, that associate with her parents and their friends. She believes a man should work hard for his money and be independent, whilst still being kind and respectful. Marta wants a man like her father; a man who grew up with nothing and worked his way to the highest position in the financial department of the German government. A man who still brings his wife flowers and tells her she is beautiful everyday. That is what Marta is attracted to.

Letting out a sigh, Marta finally got ready to cross the street when suddenly a delicious smell entered her nose. Looking right, she saw a little bakery about halfway down the block. Her nose and feet taking over control, she turned in that direction and began walking towards the bakery, completely unaware that the street she turned onto entered into a neighborhood that her mother always deemed as “unsafe and dirty.”
Frankfurt, Germany- October 1938

Tensions run high in Frankfurt as the Nazi power is seeping more and more into the communities. It is not safe anymore to wander the streets alone; one must always keep their heads low. Especially those believing and practicing in the Jewish faith. No one knows for sure what will happen and who it will happen to, but it is a dark time in Eastern Europe.

However, like many forbidden romances, love can be found in the strangest places. Can there be a modern Romeo and Juliet? How do they meet? What are their beliefs? Will that hinder them? Or make them stronger?

this is a WIP so please don't delete
@avanhelsing I'll send you a PM!
I guess I'd include the Harry Potter ships I enjoy:

James x Severus
Sirius x Remus
Draco x Hermione
Harry x Draco
Thanks for all the encouragement! This is why I always loved the RP world. We all love it and don't give a crap what others think.
