It's way too early to be hearing Christmas music in the mall... can we get past Thanksgiving, first?

Ashanti Jones

Jacob Jones

Ashanti laughed hysterically as she and Jacob pulled into the school parking lot, tears threatening to fall and ruin her mascara. Jacob laughed nervously, his hands tightly gripping the steering wheel. Ashanti's laughs slowly came to a stop, but she couldn't wipe the smile off her face. "You asked him what? Our Dad?"
Jacob sighed as he turned the car off and tossed his keys into his backpack. "I just wanted him to help me run lines, Ash, it's not that big of a deal," Jacob said as he got out of the car. Ashanti knew, though, that it was a big deal. Their Dad had never approved of Jacob and his "hobbies," wanting him to play football or basketball instead. Jacob slowly walked towards the school's front door, waiting for Ashanti to get her things and catch up. When she did, her smile had been replaced by a smirk.

"I'll help you run lines after school," she said when they'd gotten inside. "It'll give you an excuse to come see Mom."

Three months ago their parents had a huge argument, resulting in their father moving out and taking Jacob along with him. Ashanti and Jacob still hung out everyday, but rarely got the chance to see their other parent. Jacob smiled and nodded as the bell rang, signifying the end of first period. Jacob's first period, like many other seniors, was free period. Ashanti, on the other hand, decided that she'd much rather spend her time curling her hair instead of sitting through an hour of Trigonometry. Together they went to their lockers to retrieve their instruments, and then headed towards the band room.

By the time they'd reached the band room, the room was almost full. Ashanti, leaving Jacob to do "whatever Jacob does," found a seat and pulled her Trumpet out of it's case, humming to herself. Unlike the majority of the band kids, Ashanti actually liked football. She glanced up and watched as Jacob looked around the room, more than likely trying to find Grover.

Sophia Harrison

Sophia's eyes flew open at the sound of footsteps approaching her. Who she saw coming was a man, roughly around the age of thirty. Glancing near where he'd came from, she saw three other men; one with a cell phone up to his ear, speaking urgently. Her stomach growled as she watched him come closer, contemplating what she should do. Her first instinct was to reach for the knife in her back pocket, but she decided against that. She immediately tensed up, though, once he'd reached her.

"Sup lil ma," he said, "Ain't it a bit dangerous for you to be sitting here alone in a place like this?"

Soph fought the urge to roll her eyes as a small smirk found its way to her lips. "Dangerous? Sure," she said with a chuckle.
"But let's just say I know how to take care of myself."

Rob Harrison

Rob and his boys finally stopped running and hunched over, trying to catch their breath. They silently heaved before Chuck, one of Rob's boys, spoke up. "You don't think he followed us, right man?"
"Let's hope not," Rob said as he took one last deep breath.
"We should split up, though, try to find some more food. We can meet up at the house later."

Without another word, Rob's boys took off running in opposite directions, leaving him alone in the alley. Dusting off his shoulders and readjusting his backpack, Rob continued straight ahead, eventually finding his way to an old neighborhood. He looked in the windows of abandoned cars as he made his way down the street, looking for things he could take, but stopped when he saw two figures approaching. He took the hammer out of his backpack and continued walking, hoping that he wouldn't have to use it.

Rob grunted and let out a loud groan of frustration as he bashed the rusted lock of a car trunk with a hammer. "There ain't no way in hell we're gon' get this shit open, man," one of Rob's boys complained. He was answered with a quick, but firm smack on the back of his head. "Just shut the hell up and keep tryin', I'm gonna go check up front again." Rob placed the hammer in his backpack and made it to the passenger side door before he heard yelling. He turned around to see a man running towards them, manically waving a crowbar as he yelled. Rob's first instinct was to reach for his gun, but he stopped after remembering what he and his sister had spoken about earlier.
"If there's any commotion of any kind, you better run the other way," she'd said, "we don't need any trouble right now, Rob!"

With his three boys behind him, Rob took off running towards an alley in the opposite direction, and he never looked back.

Meanwhile, Sophia sat on the front steps of an old abandoned building, her arms folded across her chest and her stomach growling audibly. One of Rob's boys had eaten their last bag of stale but edible potato chips earlier on, resulting in a very angry Sophia. She'd convinced Rob and his "little friends" to go find food four hours ago, and they had yet to return. The whole time she'd been sitting on the steps, impatiently waiting. "I knew I should've gone with them," she muttered to herself, "they should be back by now." Soph knew that little to no harm would come of her brother, but she couldn't say the same for his three friends.

She sighed heavily and rested her head on her hands, closing her eyes. They could be anywhere in the prison by now, so all she could do was wait.
I agree with @RomanAria
I have the relationships sorted out with mostly everyone, I just have to fill out the form.
@arockysmith Oh my god. I literally didn't even do this on purpose... but I agree 100%.
