There's plenty of details you could add without making any assumptions. That said, I don't mind if you make assumptions about the world to build a character. I'll ask for edits if there's anything wrong.
Uh... the same problems as Jangle had.
I just followed the link to the picture: minor gripe is that his clothes are out the time period inspiration for this. No big deal, since he'll be equipped by the Coliseum Master.
That's a little bare bones. Give some info on who he is, and how he fights and what his culture is like.
Also, your picture doesn't work. The new guild format has a different code form. There's a quick button you can press to do picture links, though. Up above the text box, it's the fifth button from the left.
Armor levels will just be 1 2 and 3. That amount will be subtracted from your speed, and added to your armor saving roll.
Go ahead, that way we can work out links before we start.

You start with three points to allocate, and you'll get one point after each arena win.
When a character attempts to strike a blow we'll roll for both characters and add speed for the defending player, and dexterity for the offending player. Higher roll wins out. Then the defending player gets a saving roll based on armor level. Higher Armor level gives you a higher chance to save when struck, but will give you a penalty to speed.
After the blow is struck, strength determines the severity.

Well there's always a possibility of your characters dying, so I expect most players to have spares. Whether you wait until one character dies to make a second, or start out with more than one doesn't matter to me.

Some world background:
Anaxus Prime is the capitol of the Anaxan empire. The government is a functioning republic, with bureaucratic and military outposts throughout a large portion of the known world.
The Prime Coliseum is owned by Cymede, a wealthy aristocrat and daughter of the current chairperson of the senate. Though she is the owner, Auldus Vull is the Master. He organizes the fights, arranges for training and armament, and chooses whether or not to show mercy on arena losers.
Auldus is a veteran of t he Coliseum. He started as a slave but bought his own freedom with his winnings. Despite his high position of power, he is something of an inspiration to those slaves sold to Cymede for arena fights.
The world has no overt magic, but many classical mythological creatures exist.
Feel free to make up civilizations for your characters to come from.
