Alphonse held a hand out to Sylvester to take the key back, "As it happens, I know the way." He looked at the two impromptu heroes who had joined him in his usual monster slayer duties. "So, do you two actually want to join me on this quest? We have to trek to the Wizard's Tower, no small feat on its own, confront a former court wizard, and possibly his hell-spawn. We'll face dangers even I have never seen. So, answer, will you two be my squires?" ((Rolled a nine, power number once more.)) Not only did the two unlikely heroes decide quite gladly to join his cause, but the man that Alphonse had saved earlier approached sheepishly, having overheard Al's speech of danger. "I may be no fighter," he said, holding his hat and wringing it in his hands nervously, "But I can carry your things, or help in any way. I'd do anything to keep me family safe from them monsters." "What do you do?" Al asked the man. "I'm a wood cutter, a carpenter. Gerald the Carpenter, I'm called." "Excellent," Al replied, apparently not fully understanding what a carpenter actually does, "Get your largest axe," he pulled his sword off of his belt and handed it to the man, "And you can carry this for me as well." The man took it and walked off quickly. He returned in a moment still clutching the sword, and now also carrying a five pound wood cutting axe. "Come now, squires, we should move while we still have daylight." He checked the sun to get his bearings, and determined the right way to go. ((Rolled a seven)) "The desert would be quicker, but I think the forest is less perilous, and as I have novice adventurers in my midst, we shall take that way. Onward!" He started marching, Gerald the Carpenter behind him, toward the woods on the edge of town.

Caelum "That could be true." Caelum tilted her head, studying the other girl's wand closely. "I think that everyone has heard of unicorns. They are unicorns in many fairy tales and paintings. Maybe they are more powerful... or more friendly? I've never heard of a kelpie before I got this wand." "I am excited to use magic..." She felt the need to defend herself. She felt her cheeks turn red. She simply wasn't as energetic as the other girl. Both the sparks from her wand and smile lit up Charlotte's eyes. Caelum took a picture in her mind, she wanted to memorize the moment, and try to paint it later. "... I think I'm most excited to make my drawings move! Do you know if we learn that in our first year?"

Charlotte opened her mouth, closed it and finally found what she wanted to say, "I've only seen a few moving pictures, actually. I don't know how they make that happen. Special paint, maybe? So you draw, huh?" Just then, she heard some kind of ruckus from down the train. Mostly voices, but some banging and doors opening too. "What's that, do you think?" She got up and peeked around the door. "Lots of people switching compartments. Wanna see what it's about?" It seemed important that she bring her new friend along, she didn't want to wander into a crowd alone.

Well it depends on the players. Some will lose interest after a couple days, but some will come back after months. I know, because I've seen months-dead RPs suddenly jump back to life. I've got one that's been running since 2011, and we'll go three or four months of no activity sometimes.

Sorry, I've been busy. You can go ahead and set up travel if people are getting impatient. I'll try to play today or tomorrow. I only work like two or three days a week these days, and they all happen to have been in a row.

Name: Date of Birth: (Current date is September 1st 1999). Appearance: Pictures okay, but no anime style, please. If you like, you can list stats instead of describing in prose(hair color, eye color, height weight, etc). Blood Status: Personality: Short but to the point, give me a good basic gist. Wand: Leave blank, wand chooses wizard y'all. House: Leave blank, don't put the Sorting Hat out of work. Best Classes: You'll be First years, but I'm sure you have in mind what your character is good at. Worst Classes: These two are both extremes, so whatever isn't in either list you can be considered roughly average in. History: Luckily for us, basically all of the named characters(besides teachers) are out of Hogwarts by this time, so we won't be tripping over canon too much. I don't want to see any close relations to canon characters, but I do understand that if you're pureblood you might need to have one of their last names.
