Name: Bethany Hooke

Appearance

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Experiment Type: Biological, with heavy microbiology and symbiosis. Entirely a "child" of Dr. Vicktor Veiss, and in fact the microbes used in the experiment were a product of Vicktor's attempts to recycle defective biological matter.

Powers: Biological assimilation. Colonies of unique microbial life living in the body(the "heart" of the colony is the appendix) can break down any biological matter in a much larger format than typical digestion. Digestion, of course, simply breaks matter down for its chemical energy. These colonies break biological matter down into larger pieces, and can assimilate them for various purposes.

1) Repair. These micro-organisms are in every part of the body, and an open wound exposes them. Any biological matter can be applied, and the micro-organisms will rearrange it to patch the damaged area. Matter that is already broken down saves the microbes a step, and allows quicker repair. This has the added benefit of making infection impossible, as any pathogen that tries to infect will simply be assimilated.
(Layman's terms: rub organic stuff into wounds, heals. Rotting stuff can heal quicker. Gross!)

2) Mimicry. The microbes "learn" to reconstruct things they have deconstructed before. Macro-biological structures can be recreated in the hosts pre-existing system of organs. The microbe's integration into the host's nervous system allows them to be directed in this task, but not entirely controlled. Occasionally they will make apparent executive decisions, and mimic structures against the host's will.
(Layman's terms: Eat a plant? Get chlorophyll and photosynthesize! Bite a snake's head off, acquire venomous fangs!
But also: got sprayed by a skunk? Microbes think that's a fantastic defense mechanism, and reconstruct it on your body).

Cleansing: The body can be reset completely to normal with about a pint of healthy human blood(ingested or injected). The host cannot target which mimicked faculties to remove, so a body reset is a last resort if unwanted characteristics are present. The microbes work fast, but depending on the level of change, it could take up to two hours to fully restore the body.

Weaknesses: The cleansing function of the microbes is well documented(and intentional) by Dr. Veiss, and can be used as a weapon to remove any extra "powers" the host has acquired. A few hypo darts loaded with human blood will return the host to normal. It is also possible to assimilate features quite accidentally, and they are not always beneficial.

Bio: Bethany was raised, quite intentionally, by only her mother. She was homeschooled, and brought up as a vegan with a thorough respect for all living things. She didn't have much opportunity to socialize, and when her mother died of a preventable illness, there was no where for her to go. When she lost the apartment they had previously shared she ended up on the streets, where she was quickly picked up by the resident mad scientist.

Achilles peaked out the window as the Vault Dweller reacted to the sounds of some sort of aircraft. He was stunned for a moment, having never seen a working flying machine. Out popped a cadre of heavily armored soldiers. This was not the sort of people that he wanted around, and he already knew that.

Achilles left the still-unfixed machine pistol on the counter top, and checked his gear as quickly as possible. He had fifteen armor piercing rounds. They were rare, he had been saving them for exactly this sort of thing. He loaded eight into his trail carbine and handed it to Patrick.

"Full magazine, don't waste it. Only fire if I start, don't get caught. If I die, surrender." This was different from his usual instructions, it was clear he took this more seriously than raiders.

As he spoke he was loading six of the piercers into his revolver. He tossed the extra one to Patrick. "I won't have time to reload. Here's some normals, but they won't do any good. Try to hit joints," he didn't honestly have much faith in the kid's marksmanship, but if he was going to be up front he wanted someone getting his back.

Finally, Achilles unbelted his normal holster and shoved his revolver into the hidden shoulder holster. He walked out to follow Albus. When shit hit the fan, he hoped to keep the bearded weirdo alive.

He walked up behind Albus, apparently an unarmed citizen.

"It's a wild land, you can't ask us to just drop our guns. 'Sides, don't that violate some kind of constituation here in America?"

Albus would probably have an ally in Achilles. What he said is exactly the sort of thing that would resonate with a man like him.

He will still atand up to the Enclave for his own personal reasons(will probably get to it IC)

In either case it's not far fetched that security held official federal(if not necessarily military) ranks.

Regardless, it's the GM's decision.
