Since everyone else was playing the hero, Beth cursed and jumped down from the window, back into the building.

More mechanized monstrosities were coming, and that meant that a Veiss wasn't far behind. They really needed to leave.

One of them was some kind of bird, and it was shooting darts around, trying to hit the run-down experiments. Beth moved to stand between it and Taryn and Alex. The needles hit her, but nothing appeared to happen. When she pulled them out of her skin the holes closed up immediately, and she could feel the unmistakable tingle that meant that her little "pals" were going to work. It was a good thing it was the robot loving Veiss, because Viktor wouldn't have tried using tranqs on her.

"We need to go," she said, moving to continue standing between the strafing eagle and her companions, "We should have gone two minutes ago!"
Isabel put a hand up to cover her mouth. Not in disgust at her cellie's crude display, but to hide a grin. She just decided she had the best cell mate a girl could ask for. Unfortunately, and she knew this quite well, people like him didn't go over well with guards. One of them, who was now stuck with the nickname "Chuckles" forever, walked up and hit the mutant with some kind of electrical baton. He fell backwards to the floor by his cot.

Isabel jumped down to help him up, looking expressionlessly at the guard as he walked away, memorizing what she could of him. His face was obscured(cowards) but she got a look at a serial number, and made note of his stride. She supposed it didn't matter which one he was. They were all going to die.

"You getting the feeling that, that doesn't sound good?"

She gave him a crooked smile and said, "It sounds delicious. And you were whining about being hungry anyway."
I don't know if I missed something, but do the inmates have anything suppressing their powers?
I'ma try to post tonight.
Isabel did not remember much. She didn't know if it was some kind of drug these... people had used, or if it was a result of overusing her powers. But she could tell that this wasn't a normal prison. She had been in normal prisons.

She was paired with a man, or, rather, a teenage boy. He was up and screaming at the bars, wanting food by the sound of it. A normal prison wouldn't pair women with men, unless it was just the drunk tank. But she saw no sunlight, and she was in a small cell in what appeared from her limited view to be a complex full of similar small cells. This was a long term prison, and it wasn't normal.

"If you really think you're in danger of starving," she intoned in her quiet rasp from where she was now sitting up on her bunk, "Then you should conserve your energy. Sit down and stay still. Do you know what you're in for?"

It wasn't the typical "what are you in for" because she suspected that he, like her, might be a little foggy on the details.
Sorry, I'm here, week's been a bit hectic.

So who is Isabel paired with? Do I choose or do you have someone in mind?
As the downtrodden group of freaks milled about the abandoned factory, Bethany sat by the wall, hugging her knees with her head resting sideways on her arms. This situation was somewhat similar to what she had been through before being picked up by the Veiss family, the only difference is now bad people were actively hunting after her, rather than just harassing her when they happened upon her on the street.

The others argued, some wanted to get out of dodge, and some wanted revenge. She was leaning toward the former. There was no point killing anyone, and the further they got away, the less likely the Veiss family would catch up to them. They couldn't possibly have power and friends everywhere.

Besides, she was the only one here who essentially had no powers(that's what they'd be called in a comic book, anyway) at the moment. From Viktor Veiss' murmuring during lab sessions, she had come to understand her powers to some degree. She made her eat things, or else let spiders and snakes and dogs bite her to see what would happen. She knew now, she could pick up traits from other animals. But he had flushed them all from her system to prepare her for transport. And right now she was basically pure human.

As she watched the others, she wondered vaguely if she could pick up that boy's camouflage power by biting him. Or if his genetic mutations wouldn't "count."

It was then that a gunshot galvanized the others into action. Beth didn't hear it at first, but several of the other reacted, and she lifted her head to see. When the crash came, two of them moved to fight, and the rest basically fled. Beth saw the youngest girl, Taryn, her name was, hide behind a support pillar. She ran to join her, pressing next to her protectively. She was the only other girl besides the demon woman(as Beth thought this she chided herself for the cruel description) and Bethany felt a need to keep her safe.

Bethany didn't gather too much from around the pillar, but when she heard a cop talking she looked out from around the pillar. She caught a glimpse of one of a low to the ground robot, and she knew it must be a Veiss contraption. She grabbed Taryn's hand and bolted for the nearest window.
Let me get in there first, Lord.

Actually, I guess it doesn't matter, my character is definitely side-lined at the moment, but I definitely want to establish her presence.

EDIT:

Also: I'm having trouble deciphering what Grace's accent is supposed to be.
Hey Lord, could you do me a flavor and put the pictures(or at least the first one) in a nested hider(a hider inside a hider)? The first one is just a really big picture and it kind of dominates the screen once I open your CS up.
