All of these characters get a point into those stats.

So how do we want to bring the two groups together? Is the Dark Side collab going to write a bit more a do a time skip?
Everyone busy with New Years Resolutions?
I'm still into this, just waiting for OOC/more info.
I did say it was just to keep things balanced.
He was referring to my previous post about giving people points for their training.
Elves:

The "Wandering Folk" live on the wooded island south of Alliance land, right on the border. They are so called, because their homes, veritable palaces, move by magic throughout the forest. Though if you were to stand upon the roof of one, you would look over the tops of the trees, their palaces can't be seen from the outside of the woods, or even from the air. They also cannot be reached on purpose, but can only be arrived at by accident. Even the elves cannot set out to go home once they leave, and have to wander through the forest until they happen upon it. The elves, however, being eternal tend not to be bothered by the extra time it takes to travel, and are quite adept at the mental gymnastics that are required to avoid intentionally seeking the place that they want to go.

The Wandering Folk are prideful, but nonsensical. They are easy to slight by humans, because they take offense seemingly at random. It is not clear to humans whether they want to be offended, or their social cues are so complicated that outsiders step over their manners on accident.

It is said that humans have a high capacity for reason, but a low capacity for magic, and that the Wandering Folk are quite the opposite.
Most "civilized" people live within those mountain borders, around the lake. Though there are probably lands across the sea to the east. The rest of the land is taken up by other people. Barbarians if this is an all human world but maybe warring tribes of orcs and wargs and stuff. There are some "civilized" outposts out there, to keep an eye on things.

So this will be some sort of alliance of holds, rather than a kingdom. Each will have it's own ruling family. It could be the Human Alliance, unless this is going to be a multirace world.

These are people who don't want to live under the Lords of the Alliance. Have a piratey or roguish vibe.

I see a string of mountains just before the snowy lands of the North, and the few passes are guarded by towers. A bit GoT, but maybe there's something awful up North. Giants? We'll discuss it. The towers are to keep watch for whatever it is.

Every member of the Alliance's central military(we'll come up with one) has to do a tour of duty up there.

There's a few holds, almost entirely within the mountain barrier. And a bigger one on the coast that is probably a capital. The south most one, and the one by the bridge at the north east tip of the barrier mountain are charged with keeping the barbarian/bad races out of the good lands.

The Northguard and Southguard have a lot of political pull in the Alliance, because they're necessary in guarding the lands from outside forces.

The bigger hold is the oldest city in Alliance lands, but it's almost entirely impoverished. They were once a fishing and trading community, but trade to other lands has slowed greatly and the waters have been overfished. Now it's a poor, crimeridden city with poor, unscrupulous Lords.

More thoughts, feel free to jump in anyone and everyone.
You want me to keep adding detail? I was trying to leave things open for other people to give input.
Is this a modern post apoc, or like a fantasy medieval thing?
I don't know what NRP stands for, but I'm down for world building.

The map looks fantasy, so I assume that's the direction we're heading?

EDIT: Hold on, let me extrapolate from that there map.

The river extending South West has some settlements. Probably a river boat culture, sort of the last bastion of civilization outside of the mountain barrier. They're a hardy people, every man woman and child carries a weapon.

Thoughts? More specific ideas? Disagreements?
