To put that Mando helmet in perspective: Storm Trooper standard issue only filters smoke. And those are supposed to be some boss soldiers.

The one Prudence pictures would definitely be heavy armor, too. Full plates with a textile undersuit. The one Boba wears in the OT is Medium. Mostly textile, with strategically placed plating.

This takes place very shortly before Phantom Menace. The Sith have been extinct for nearly a thousand years, and the Republic hasn't had an official army for I don't know how long. A pretty small part of his backstory, but one that needs fixing to mesh with the current period.

I also believe that Mandalorian armor is too good to start with. A ship is too much to have in the beginning too, and he's absurdly well armed. We're trying to start at the bottom here, but your character is already fully equipped, where's he going to go from there?

Archaeology + Jedi/Sith stuff sounds like fun, but we should save it. Ahjan will very likely have some Force connection(wish I'd mentioned it before, but it should be obvious anyway) and I don't want him to have a chance to explore it for a while.

The pirate one sounds pretty cool, actually. It would give us a chance to work together, especially if we end up fighting in/against privatized armies.

I don't know if an equipment limit is being imposed, but he is better equipped(or, more expensively in any case) than my character and the GM's.

@Gravislayer We should decide on that, to make sure everyone starts on equal footing, so to speak. That and whether vehicles are allowed. I just wanna make sure people have somewhere to go rather than starting with their ideal.

What sort of armor is that that he wears? You can just say light/medium/heavy, or you can go into details, your call.

Well I'm sure no one would be too upset if you made any mistakes with it. You can always sort of wade in the shallow end, as it were, and stay in areas you know a lot about.

I myself lean very heavily on the wiki anytime I RP Star Wars.

I actually really like your guy's backstory, especial the fatherly sacrifice. Very dark, but very emotionally interesting.

Well I don't really see anything wrong with your character. I actually used it as sort of a counter model, I was going for a different kind of bounty hunter, and one with less experience.

I would suggest posting a new interest check in the general section, with all of the new info, plus both of our characters posted in it to show examples.

I also would suggest a proofread now that it's all in one form. In fact, if you'd like a set of fresh eyes you could copy/paste the whole thing with formatting(copy from the editing interface to keep format) into a google doc where I can take a crack at it, then use that version for the new interest check.

I just wanna say, I know that you're feeling a bit left out at the moment Dia, but I think it will come to be interesting in the end. Kilgaris drew a lot of attention to himself, that's why Siador has such a focus on him. He's looking for apprentices and here comes a guy with Force Potential who already has a freaking lightsaber. When Kil shows his true colors, who's Siador gonna turn to? The traitor's sister. And think about the fun characterization we can give her in this event! Resentment for the belated justification, a renewed need and opportunity to prove herself. This whole situation puts her in an even greater competition with him than she already was. It's like, advanced sibling rivalry. It's also very Star Wars and I love it.
