Sir Rolf kicked at the ground, puffing up even more dust than the fleeing horses had already flung into the air. They were mostly wild horses, and he didn't have the time or knowledge to break and train one of those, but he had spotted the colored silks and linens of knights of Raech, and he knew some of them were survivors of the last few days' battles, just like him. The trouble was that they ran with the wild ones now, and when he approached, they all fled together.

It was getting dark, and he knew he'd need to make camp soon, but with no food he almost didn't see the point. His power armor would support him if he decided to just walk, so maybe that was the best choice? He could point himself east and hope he ran into a Raech town or sentry post. He was searching the sky for astronomical markers to determine direction when he saw a different sort of light. A camp fire? It could be another survivor, he reasoned. It might be work approaching, at least to rule that out.

Rolf drew his great sword, and started walking toward the light.
I say launch. Any new characters can be stumbled upon by the main group when they're introduced.
I'm thinking of making a human who is wary of the Others, but also just wants to get along with them and have a pretty normal life. I haven't really thought out any other aspects of her personality, but I'm open for suggestions if anyone wants to help me explore Human/Other interactions and friendships and such

I would suppose that she happens to live in the same neighborhood/possibly even the same building as many of them. Hearing so much about them makes her wary, but being around them all the time gives her pause to question the general public opinion.

It might be a little too much to make her an unwitting roommate to an Other, but it could be one that is "passing" as human, and she might not learn their true nature for a while. Which could be entertaining because they could have conversations about Others, where she thinks both she and her roommate are coming from the same place, but no, it turns out they are not.

So if you want to play up the general caution around these presumably dangerous Others, you could go jumpy and anxious, or quietly cautious and vigilant.

Just a few thoughts from my corner.

succubus unite! i'm making an ex-pornstar succubus who's now an undercover cop ^_^

hmm, i can't see why any of the Others would want to really reveal themselves at all considering the mass hysteria happening, but that's just my opinion ^_^

Well, that's why it's a struggle, the aforementioned ramifications. The reason it's tempting is because that particular genre of music attracts the sort of people who would romanticize demons. It could be the sort of publicity that pushes them from obscurity to fame(or infamy, as it might be). The question is whether or not it's worth the suspicion and more figurative demonization from the greater population.
My idea was for a siren that was a singer of some sort, be it a lounge singer or something that draws a bit more of a crowd.

They could totes be a band, but that would require some modification to either of our ideas, so maybe not. Either way, they could easily sort of run in the same circles.

It could be a running gag that he wants them to work together, but they just really aren't into the same kind of music.
So I'm thinking, indie metal musician who actually is a demon.

EDIT: struggles with whether or not to reveal themselves, considering the effect on ticket sales and possible ramifications.

Should we hash out pre-established relationships between characters?
I see that now!

Good, I suppose when I wake up in the morning there will be more.

You're so gay. It's unbelievable how gay you are.

So gay *hides all his homosexual male characters* The gayness is appalling *hides his love for Taylor swift and adele* I'm amazed at how homosexual you are *deletes all the history between now and the beginning of time to erase all the smutty stucky and Destiel he's read* so gay so gay. Unbelievable gay. #offended

You don't have to be gay to like T-Swift

*is a little bit gay*

Well, maybe I'm not the best example, but it's true.

Anyway, I'm super here for this. Reading through the interest check posts to make sure I know everything that has been decided so far.
Alright, I'm calling it for good. If you wanna keep an eye out, I may do another using the same system some other time. It may or may not be Star Wars at all.
He's going to promise to endorse him for a knighthood and crap, just glowing testimonials, all about the songs they'll sing about Erik the brave(he'll come up with a better name later, don't you worry).
