The commotion that Pink had started, while not unnoticed, didn't warrant as much attention in the eyes of the wider public as the strange sky of today. Faira, having not yet arrived to be bewildered by her dreams being painted on the wall next to the candy shop, had made a point to inquire of the city's early birds about it.

She had gathered that the clouds had rolled in from the Pine Barrens outside of town, starting shortly after sunrise. She had started to head that direction when she was confronted with every single person from her dream the night before, gathered in one place. On second reflection, she realized that Gatta had not been there, but that there had been another, stranger sort of person.

Her hand shifted on her whacking stick, but something in her didn't want to fight Kupori. Something in her heart saw her, bizarrely and for the first time, as a friend and comrade. She couldn't make sense of the feeling, and tried to shake it. Glancing around, Faira spotted the painting for the first time. Her hand raised to point at it, and her mouth fell open, but she was uncharacteristically speechless.

Just then, before she could gather her wits, a strange thing happened. Visible above and beyond the painted wall, it was like the opposite of lightning. For a split second, what little light was filtering through the clouds disappeared, and was back just as soon as it had left. The strange darkness had been centralized a little less than a mile away, directly over the Pine Barrens. Promptly following the anti-lightning was anti-thunder. An expanding bubble of soundlessness that passed over not only the unwitting key bearers, but the whole town.

“What was that?” Faira asked in her lowish gravelly voice.

Out in the Pine Barrens, a black bolt reached from the sky, sucking the light out of the forest in bursts. With every strike, shadows pooled on the ground, Darkness hitching a ride on the otherworldly storm. From these pools, small figures rose, moving jerkily as they scented the air with their antennae. They liked the scent they got, and started marching toward town.
@Akayaofthemoon Go ahead and drop me.

Roxas/Xion/Namine are huge question marks in the lore lmao~

Sounds like they'd be interesting allies or foes.

So if somebody made a body for the soul to possess they could control it? Like Xion and her whole deal?

Also I added a couple lines to my text to have Gale with everybody else!

Yeah, they'll be kind of wild cards, but they aren't here to replace Heartless as general mobs or anything. Stefan is one now, in case people didn't catch that.

You're right on the money, if a suitable form was provided, they could possess it, but they don't have the same vitality of a normal living and whole being, so that affects them.

@Raddum there is no posting order(I really should write out rules so people know these things) so feel free. Especially now that it looks like you're all on and I'm at work.
So would people without memories be considered soulless; Like Roxas at the start of 358/2? ?What can a soul do within another's mind? Can they turn them into heartless and nobodies? or Can they take control of the body if they have the will power?

Roxas was an unusual case, and I don't fully understand everything about his deal. But in this world, yeah that's a good assumption.

Yes! They can influence the light or dark(according to their own nature) in the hearts they inhabit. One could, if they were particularly dark and particularly strong, overpower a heart and make it a heartless. Though the person in question likely wasn't of strong enough will to produce a Nobody.

They could only take full control if there is no other willpower controlling the being they inhabit, but they can influence others if they choose.
"Good," as the youths took hold of the keyblades, the light in the glass started to fade away, soon leaving them in darkness where only the glow of the apparition remained. "You will harbor the hearts of fallen heroes, and they will shield you from the darkness as you take up their mantles." He was drifting away from them now, "And soon you will shield others in turn. Always look to the light. Don't let it go!"

He was gone, and his audience returned to their natural sleep.

Faira awoke in her bed, rising gradually out of a dream full of broken glass and strange keys. Though many details of her night's dreams faded, the scene on the stained glass floor remained vivid, almost as if it had happened to her when she was awake.

She dressed for the day. Something in her was urging her to go out, and she dressed in her sturdiest clothes, as if she were going to go hiking or climbing. She didn't really know what she meant to do today. Maybe she'd try to go find Pink. She supposed that occured to her because hehad been featured in her dream, and that thought brought her mind to Kupori as well. Suppose they run into each other? Best be prepared, she grabbed her favorite whacking stick as she walked out the door. It was a solid oak rod, which had originally been a flag pole. Faira had pulled the flag down in a bit of high spirited vandalism, and had enjoyed using the pole to cause even more trouble.

It was a strange kind of day, most of the sky was engulfed in thick black clouds, but it didn't smell like rain and not a drop seemed to have fallen.
Sorry a post has not come like I meant for it to. We're in the process of moving and I've had things that had to be taken care of. I will give a tentative schedule for a post tonight instead.

In the meantime, as I k ow I've said this game takes some liberties with lore, there's a new thing in it in the same vein as heartless and nobodies.

So if the heartless is the heart, and the nobody is the body, there's a third component which is the soul. Souls normally stay with the body, giving the human shaped Nobodies access to their old memories. But some artifice of magic or science can divorce the two, creating a third entity that loses all corporeal powers. They exist only in their own minds, or, if their clever, in the minds of others.

What should I call these things?
I also enjoy how Gale's perspective on the deal is very much tinged with mysticism.
Can I just say how funny it is that both of the guys in the RP are pretty much useless in a fight, While the Girl's are the badasses? It's a reverse of the Destiny Trio lmao~ But I do like the sound of Pink! He's adds a level of levity to the group~ Gale will have his hand's full with this group!

I really enjoy Pink's particular brand of uselessness.

So, everybody, I work today, new job with a "normal" 9-5 shift, so expect me in the afternoon. Hopefully Rokku edits their CS and posts before then, but if not we'll move on and just pretend Sonus was there.
If difficulties are made, we'll try to keep them minor, and productive storywise.

I'm actually planning on some disagreements, and Kupori will play front and center for one.

But in keeping with themes, they ought to become and stay friends. Come to understand each other, know what I mean?
@Raddum sounds like a plan, my dude.

It's interesting that so many characters ended up on one side or the other of Sunrise City society.
