Nothing says cliche artist/gallery location like NYC! Tho, that might change if it has too~

San Francisco, California?
Sacramento, California?
Bloomfield Hills, Michigan?
Portland, Oregon?
Paris, France?
London, England?
I had no idea where I was throwing Richard, but my Carrington demanded NYC so I have little choice!
Something just hit me this morning as I was thinking on the RP. Imagine this is me being a cynic with suspension of belief; but I really don’t see how Reginald and Cass have birthed some of the children we’ve picked as face-claims. I see flashes of hispanic, native american, and other ancestries that makes me really have some issues in my head making sense of everything. I’m not saying we should change our characters (because face-claims are trivial at best) but trying to open a discussion about it.

So I just realized that, without planning it, most Carrington siblings are in New York lol. Can it be possible that they never came across one another over the years?

Yeah, poo on everyone for not being diverse in location!

STEIN KALFOX

“Greed is so destructive. It destroys everything.”
E A R T H A K I T T

MECH HANGAR - NEW ANCHORAGE

Stein had went immediately to the hangar as she had said, and had been ready for sometime. But one of the engineers, Katarina Poux, had decided to do a once over on the NC’s that were launching pre-mission; her analyses done before Jan Van Gent had returned from the Mess Hall to prepare for launch. Stein decided to not engage in conversation giving only a short dialogue to the engineer as she headed up to the cockpit.

“Get it done before launch.”

Stein had no time for dwaddling or small talk when a mission was about to be launched and she’d return to what she knew best: being a pilot.

The repairs and system analysis seemed all up to expectations, which was a little surprising to Stein. She had always been told independent operations were a mess of inadequacy and incompetence; operations with no sense of urgency or professionalism. Whilst some of it ringed with some truth, she found herself pleasantly surprised with the results. It did all feel different though despite that. She missed the order and strict organization of Volkov and she missed being on the same page as her commander, field leader, and engineering captain.

Stein always had the statistics and few people felt the need to lie to her or give her false information. It was still a tick that was lying at the back of her head from the other day… the implausibility of the statistic she was given for the Fairbanks job. Three percent. Given all the factors Stein had done in her head and her own calculations that was nowhere near a good estimated calculation but a downright fabrication.

But why? Why would they go to fabricate information? Where was the logic in it?

Stein didn’t understand and it frustrated her.

As Van Gent returned and chimed in to his commander Stein did as well.

“This is Little Dragon, I am plugged in and ready for transport. All systems are nominal, All systems are operational— no errors detected on my end.”
On it.
Not trying to be a dick here, but I have an inquiry...

It's just a matter of copy and pasting the stuff from the original CS to this one,

I'm cool with transferring characters and adjusting them; but what happened to making new characters for RPs? It seems a lot of carryovers without complete adjustments were made here and that sort of confuses me.

I bet our characters would get along. Both redheads, both humanities people.

...plus I have the biggest crush on Jane Levy.

As you should, Jane is amazing.
Well, I'm in the same boat as you with the relationships thing.

Sorry for swooping in on that eldest child hype, Gowi ;3;. I'm having fun writing this kid tho so I hope others will enjoy her when she's finished~

Anyways, I'm dead, night all~

Nah, it's fine! I was just making sure we had someone who could fill the role in case we didn't have anyone and needed to get started. I have two characters already so I think I'm fine. I will probably finish my CS I won't get to use anyway just because I'm a completionist and it'll be interesting to see what you make instead of me.

I like how we were both making the eldest. Now watch you also make her a Surgeon. And Anne Heche. Then I will truly laugh my ass off.

@Undine I'm still interested in this RP, but IRL has been very busy for me the last few days since i was snowed in, so I just wanted to let you guys know. I'm sorry for this turn of events, and my poor judgement at reserving a character a busy time for me!

So do you want to re-reserve it?
will be taking the reservation for the eldest child!

Thank god, because the one I was working on (just in case we needed one) is barely worked on since this morning. Better be gud!
Damon Vypren took a heavy breath as he listened to the remarks and small talk as his thoughts began to wander. He began to wonder of the weight of the messenger’s words— weight that would be so heavy that it would take as long as it did for his father to consider of how to respond and react. There were only a few answers that made any logical sense to Damon, though speculation was never a wise action; he would have to wait to understand what was going on. That is, if his father would choose to open a dialogue about it. Damon tapped his right index and middle fingers against the wooden table as he continued to think and his brows narrowed as people began to eat without the Lord of Fairmarket present. No matter the scenario, one did not begin without the lord— something his mother should’ve known, but perhaps she didn’t care. Just the thought of it made his stomach turn as a volatile anger rose from within. But he need not act on his temperament.

“Must you amuse yourself, Jon?” Damon remarked, with some bite to his words; words that made his wife, Jayne, look at him with a worried expression.

“It must be of utmost importance for us to be held for this long.”

“...and have we all forgotten that we do not begin to eat without the lord present?”

His eyes moved to one of the small folk present rather than his mother’s own. He meant no disrespect to the woman that birthed him, but she knew better— and she knew that. Why had she forgotten manners in lieu of her own hunger? Did the absence of Damon’s father equate to such apathy? Why was Damon the first to be worried and on that the only one who held virtues of patience over their own sinful gluttony?
