Diana sighed audibly as the two superhuman titans seemed to be more interested puffing their chests and taunting one another rather than actually getting to the bottom of Corben’s actions— is this what heroes were now? Arguing over which one gets to interrogate the enemy like schoolyard children? It was ridiculous to witness and Diana did not have the patience or the time to play this game.

“Enough!”

Superman’s near reply to Thor was cut short by Diana’s exclamation— a interjection that had gathered the attention of both of the heroes that were in front of her. Diana shot a glare at both of them as she gestured towards Corben.

“This is not Asgard! and you are both not children! Yet you sit firm and taunt one another when this villain endangered how many lives today? Is this how your Justice League works, Thor? or did that egomaniac convince you to bicker with Superman instead of doing good? I will not sit here and let Corben go without the knowledge of who sent him and who created him. I suggest you let me do what I have right to do. It is then and only then that you can take him to whatever holding cell you deem purposeful. Unless you know something I do not. If so, please share your wisdom—”

“—or take this trinket off Corben and get out of my way.”
Your opinion is neat, but unsolicited. I disagree, but I have stated my opinion on timely replies vs needless collaborations many times onsite before and I am not going to repeat myself. I’ve seen more RP’s that depend on collaboration fail into inactivy then ones that depend on individual replies. Cheers.

"Forgive me, sir, for bothering you, but might you be Terminus Valarien? My father, Matthias Soleander, spoke well of you. Had such a man spoken to my father in such terms, he would have been banished to the wilderness.”

Matthias Soleander was a name Terminus Valarien had not heard in a long time.

But it wasn’t exactly a name he was particular fond towards given the shared experience Terminus and Matthias had back in that cold winter ago. He may have been young at the time, and was most certainly overeager, but the lack of clout and respect that was given to him by Matthias Soleander when he stepped into the Sonveld was something he most definitely had not forgotten. For someone who thought they were above the church— above Kammeth to tell him to leave and to tell him that his mission was not just had caused a near incident in the halls of Matthias’ own castle. Terminus remembered how young he was as the “Lord” tried to make him back down with veiled threats, bold presumptions, and disrespectful assertions— but then again, Terminus had only been fifteen years past his nameday at the time and had a hunger in his stomach with fangs to match so it wasn’t like he had went into the situation with political caution and the respect he should have. He had grown a lot in his time since then and if Matthias could look back and see him favorably he could at least offer the same olive branch to Matthias’ son. There was no reason not to; there was a time for zealous fervor and this was not one of them.

“I am.” Terminus replied as he looked back over to the old relic who had dared think age equated to universal respect.

There were a lot of things said about those from the islands that were scattered beneath the imperial heartlands, but very few of them were worth anything of note. Terminus viewed House Chalarensis as little more than arrogant bottom feeders that held no purpose to the realm but be a nice distraction for islandic vilespawn and lowly pirates— they brought little respect, honor, or integrity to the table and they lacked any resources that made them worthwhile. In many ways it was like a mangy mutt you kept around to feed and care for because of an aged old promise. In his darkest moments he often prayed that there would be a heresy revealed in the islands so he could personally bring Valarien justice to them to remind them of how far in the dirt they really were.

“Helstar will judge him in due time; that much I am sure.” He replied before taking another drink from the goblet before looking back to the person who was addressing him.

“My deepest condolences to your house for what had happened to your father. I was not aware he thought very much of me considering… our past together— we had not spoken in many years.”

A crowd began to form, one Terminus noticed as he heard the announcement that introduced the presence of his brother and cousin to the party. A light smirk came to his face as he saw the “show” that came with such an entry, but also seemed a bit conflicted at his cousin’s audacity. Arrogance was a pitfall of sin and there seemed to be an abundance of it on disaply— perhaps he would have to have words with them had an explanation not properly given; but he would not do it here in front of others. He took another drink from his goblet, running it dry, as he continued thinking about events that were going on at this party as he awaited a reply.

“He was a man of conviction.”

Or you can post without depending on collabs? Speaking of Celeste's reply will be up tonight if I can not be lazy.
With that said, all of my prospective characters are finished.

EDIT: Seems to me that we've got a swordsman and martial artist, so the ninja archetype in Hanako works the best in the framework of the plot.
Sooner the better.
Your picture is broken.
Those broken tags tho!

Star City.

If Carol remembered the SHIELD reports correctly this was the city of the other vigilante who decided being a unpowered hero wasn’t hard enough so he opted for a bow & arrow instead of a set of power armor. Which was… ridiculous. Had the accident with the Kree space thingamajig not happened to her during her time at NASA she sure as hell wouldn’t be wearing the same tights playing superhero right now— she didn’t know how these mystery men types could even do it.

“Star City, huh?”

“They call it the emerald city.”

Carol nodded as they entered the city as discreetly as they could given their… outfits.

“Is that why Hawkeye Jr. wears green?”

Jessica didn’t even attempt to curb her loud laugh; it was as if she didn’t expect Carol to state such a thing in the first place— which was even more ridiculous given how well she knew Carol.

“I don’t think either of them would appreciate the comparison.”

Carol shrugged, a wide grin on her face as they turned into an alleyway. “So, you said something is going down here? Mutant-related? I’m kind of curious who we’re going to be dealing with here— I’m kind hoping it’s someone from the riot earlier, payback would be amazing.”

Jessica shook her head as she stopped and turned to look at her friend.

“I have been keeping you in suspense. Alright, so SHIELD satellite images caught somebody that is loosely affiliated with the Brotherhood of Mutants— he’s a bit of an eccentric, out of the Ted Kord playbook. Inventor, Scientist, Troublemaker, and a guy who really doesn’t know when to shut up. His alias is Geomancer.”

Ted Kord— Carol hadn’t met with him, but she had read the dossier and listened to the sound files. If he was a reference point she had to wonder what they were going to deal with if their lead didn’t turn into a dead end. Carol had never came to blows with Geomancer before either— hell, she had never heard of him. But by the name she had a sort of idea what he could do; a presumption, but an educated guess was better than going in blind and getting wrecked by powers or skills you didn’t anticipate. Carol hated surprises.

“Never tangled with him. Is he powerful?”

“Think Avalanche but with Ted Kord’s mentality and Spider-Man’s big mouth.”

“Should I grab some extra strength painkillers now or later?” Carol let out a chuckle as she shook her head. “Where are we starting to look?”

“Basically the idea is that I’m going to play Sherlock Holmes and you are going to play Watson.”

“I am so not smart enough to play Watson!”

Jessica laughed, “No, but let’s try. It’ll be fun. Promise. If we fail spectacularly we’ll go mope at Big Belly Burger. I’ll pay.”

The prospect of Jessica paying for lunch was a seemingly good idea as far as Carol thought given that she hadn’t eaten all day and after the mishap in Coast City with the Brotherhood she had sort of lost her appetite for a few hours. However, the prospect of finding this Geomancer and using him to get some information on the Brotherhood and their plans was a far better meal than any greasy cheeseburger with special sauce... or it would had the thought of the fast food chain not crossed Carol's mind and decided to become really appealing out of the blue.

Crap. Now I'm hungry.

Carol coughed nervously before shuffling her hands in her jacket pockets.

“Can we eat first? I could use a meal to get into the mindset of an internationally acclaimed physician and surgeon with a glorious mustache.”

“Elementary, my dear Danvers.”

“That’s not how that works.”

“It is if you want to eat.”
