The fight with Double Down was over before it began, and now Hellfire watched as Ditto acted before he thought, destroying the machine that held the Flash instead of seeking to deactivate it. He saw the machine explode, Flash within it, saw Flash turn into nothingness. Enraged, Hellfire walked towards Ditto, body tense with anger.

"Ditto! What the hell was that? You could have killed Flash! Even worse, you could've hurt Orbit! You need to use your head, man! This almost got Flash killed!" he yelled at his older teammate, unable to keep a lid on his anger....

Thunder booms...

"...and BOOM goes the dynamite! Isn't that what the guy said... that guy on the Family Guy? Whatshisname? I've only seen six or seven of the episodes now... did I say that right?" Ditto asked with a grin knowing the good guys won, "He's a Justice Leaguer who happens to be made out of lightning who's been doing this for years, of course he was going to make it out alive...." Ditto responded in a slight douchebag tone.

Somewhere in Florida, on the opposite side of the 'States...

Aquaman, known as Arthur Curry on the surface world has seen better days. It's been over a year since Black Manta killed his wife. Over a year since Arthur killed Manta. Over a year since he'd quit the Justice League. He looked worn, unshaven for weeks, and stunk like bad sea water. He paid his tab at a local beach bar with a couple golden Atlantean coins, something he'd done often. However on his long and lonely walk back to his nearby lighthouse he was approached by a shadowy figure.

"Hello, Arthur. It's been too long, pitty you're past your prime..." the man said before pulling out a blade and gutting the former sea king like a fish.

One week later, the undeground HQ...

Booster Gold had come to keep watch over the young heroes of Star City. While some of them don't know what's going on, those with closer ties to Superman and Batman were informed and later would tell the others. Deathstroke, superhuman mercenary and the rumored killer of Green Arrow, had returned and cut a drunk Aquaman nearly in half up his torso with some enchanted blade. Something that could possibly do the same to Superman. Or anyone for that matter. Ditto2 approached Booster who was keeping on guard in the monitor/meeting room...

"Booster, Supes mentioned that Deathstroke may have returned but after finally learning to read English the file had noted Slade Wilson was killed in a riot at the Supermax Metahuman Prison. His remains autopsied by the authorities AND the League...." Ditto began.

"What are you thinking Triple Kid?" Booster asked, not sounding too impressed.

"It's Ditto, sir. And I was thinking it may be an imposter..." the Carggite continued before being cut short.

"You don't think the League's thought of that? Whoever it is he killed Aquaman. He could have been responsible for Arrow's death too. Now Wonder Woman is in intensive care at the Watchtower because she was found on a small island neighboring Themyscira and attacked. She survived but it was all Superman could do to get the Amazons to let us take care of her with our advanced healing tech..." Booster informed the young alien before hearing a noise in an unknown corner of the underground base.

"You hear that, Boost.." Ditto2 began to say before a sniper shot was fired going through the arm of Ditto and into the leg of the seated Booster.

Their screams could be heard by nearly everyone, save for any young heroes in the War Room.

Hello?
Anybody home?
Name: Caiden Garnett
Alias: Spiderman
Age: 16
Powers:
Spider Physiology - Spiderman possesses the proportionate powers of a spider, granted to him from a genetically modified Common House Spider (Achaearanea tepidariorum) which bit him.

Wall-Crawling - Self explanatory.

Superhuman Strength: Spider-Man possesses superhuman strength enabling him to press lift ten tons. Spider-Man's physical strength is sufficient enough to enable him to lift and throw objects as heavy as a big rig semi truck with ease. He must also pull his punches and kicks unless fighting someone of similar or greater physical durability. Otherwise, his blows would prove fatal to a normal human being.

Superhuman Speed - Spider-Man is capable of running and moving at speeds that are far beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete. He can catch up to a speeding car on foot.

Superhuman Stamina - Spider-Man's advanced musculature produces less fatigue toxins during physical activity than an ordinary human. This allows him to exert himself physically for much longer periods of time before fatigue begins to impair him. At his peak, Spider-Man can physically exert himself at his peak capacity for several hours before the build up of fatigue toxins in his blood begins to impair him.

Superhuman Durability - Spider-Man's body is physically tougher and more resistant to some types of injury than the body of a normal human. His body is more resistant to impact forces than anything else. He can withstand great impacts, such as falling from a height of several stories or being struck by an opponent with super strength, that would severely injure or kill a normal human with little to no discomfort.

Superhuman Agility - Spider-Man's agility, balance, and bodily coordination are all enhanced to levels that are far beyond the natural physical limits of the finest human athlete. Spider-Man is extraordinarily limber and his tendons and connective tissues are twice as elastic as the average human being's, despite their enhanced strength. He has the combined agility and acrobatic prowess of the most accomplished circus aerialists and acrobats. He can also perform any complicated sequence of gymnastic stunts such as flips, rolls, and springs. He can easily match or top any Olympic record at gymnastics apparatus such as flying rings, climbing ropes, horizontal bars, trampolines.

Superhuman Equilibrium - Spider-Man possesses the ability to achieve a state of perfect equilibrium in any position imaginable. He seems able to adjust his position by instinct, which enables him to balance himself on virtually any object, no matter how small or narrow.

Superhuman Reflexes - Spider-Man's reflexes are similarly enhanced and are currently about 40 times greater than those of an ordinary human. In combination with his spider-sense, the speed of his reflexes allows him to dodge almost any attack, or even gunfire, if he is far enough away. Spider-Man has even been shown in some cases, to be able to dodge gunfire using just his reflexes without his Spider-Sense.

Regenerative Healing Factor - Spider-Man has a limited healing factor. While not on Wolverine's level, it is sufficiently powerful enough to recover from severe injuries from broken bones and large amounts of tissue damage in a matter of days.

Foreign Chemical Resistance - Due to his accelerated metabolism, Spider-Man has a higher tolerance for drugs and diseases than normal humans, and he can recover from the effects of larger doses rapidly. His resistance and recovery time to other toxins and diseases varies, but is typically significantly higher than normal. However, Spider-Man has the normal human tolerance for alcoholic beverages.

Spider-Sense - Spider-Man possesses an extrasensory "danger" or "spider" sense which warns him of potential immediate danger by the manifestation of a tingling sensation in the back of his skull, and links with his superhuman kinesthetics, enabling him to evade almost any injuries, unless he cognitively overrides his automatic reflexes.

Web Shooters - Provided to him by Peter Parker, Caiden uses web shooters, which enable him to swing from webs.

Weaknesses:
Spider-Sense Disruption - Spider-Man's Spider Sense can lose its effectiveness if it is blocked or temporarily weakened by specialized equipment or certain drugs.

Ethyl Chloride - Perhaps as a side effect of gaining his powers, Spider-Man is susceptible to the pesticide ethyl chloride.
Personality: Hot-head, snarky, indomitable will, intelligent (though not as smart as Peter Parker was)
Appearance: Out of costume -
In costume -
Brief bio:
Caiden Garnett was born in Queens to two police officers. He shared a close relationship with his parents. Throughout his childhood, he showed interest in both sport and academics, though he thrived more in the athletic side of things.

He attended Midtown High School, and for the most part was left alone by bullies, and was actually rather popular. His best friend, Claire Walsh, shared a complicated romantic relationship with him, and neither of them knew where to go with it.

He was an intern in Oscorp, an underling of Peter Parker, who was missing one leg. Unknown to Caiden, Peter lost it in the final battle between him and the Sinister Six when he was still Spiderman. Also unknown to Caiden was that Oscorp, prior to hiring him as an intern, was bought and merged by another company, who, it's fair to say, had rather sinister goals.

One day at work, Caiden was tending to some lab equipment, when a genetically modified spider was "accidentally" flicked onto him, which bit him. When arriving back home, he collapsed, out cold, only to wake up the next morning with spider powers. He used these to boost his already succesful high school sporting career, reaching both the track and basketball varsity teams. Peter silently observed Caiden, ready to step in and guide him when the time was right.

One night during basketball practice, he was approached by his parents' commanding officer. The officer informed him news that he'd been dreading to hear: his parents were murdered in a gunfight with some armed robbers. Ridden with grief, Caiden did what Peter did- he went after the killers. He eventually found them, and, using his powers, began to brutally beat them within an inch of their lives.

Hearing of this, Peter confronted Caiden, revealing to him his past identity of Spiderman, offering to take him in and mentor him. Caiden accepted. Months later, after some training from Peter, Caiden took to the streets as the new Spiderman, living with his adoptive parents, Peter and Mary Jane Watson-Parker.

It's been two months since his debut as Spiderman, and Caiden now has some experience under his belt.
Hellfire watched as Orbit launched her attack on Double Down. The strike looked brutal. He'd hate to have been hit like that. But DD seemed to just shake the attack off, launching his own relentless assault on Ditto, Fate, Hellfire and Orbit, his fleshy cards circling around the four heroes.

It was then that Computron made himself known, revealing Flash's location, a giant energy conductor, which seemed to absorb Cyber Knight's nanites. Then Flash presented the heroes with a difficult choice: destroy the conductor with him inside, or watch as Computron took control of every conceivable piece of tech, practically handing control of the world to him in the process. And then there was Double Down, raining down his cards of death upon the group, making any sort of retaliation impossible. That is, unless someone wanted to get ripped to shreds. And Hellfire was willing to take that chance. He turned to face his teammates, about to tell them of his new plan.

"I'm going to fly at DD and hit him as hard as I can. I'll put some flame on my hands, they should burn him pretty badly. Hopefully he'll be distracted and his attacks'll lessen, at least enough for you three, er, four, to make a run for Flash. I'll keep Double Down fighting me long enough for you to figure out what to do. Got it?" he said, a bit too commanding for his liking. Not waiting for a response, he launched himself at DD, his black flames covering his fists, hot enough to give a human third degree burns.

Cards cut through his armour, scratching his skin. Blood oozed out of the scrapes. But Hellfire kept flying at DD, not once backing down. Arms extended out in front of him in a classic Superman pose, his fiery fists met with Double Down's face, severely burning it. But instead of the scream of pain Hellfire was expecting, there was a chuckle.

"Did you really think I'd be hurt by that, kid? My cards tear off my skin every time I use them. But you're gonna to have to pay for what you did to my face," said Double Down, his face now unrecogniseable.

"It's not like there was much to look at in the first place," retorted Hellfire, preparing for the fight that was about to ensue.

"I've never been much for face cards anyway!" Double Down screamed with an insane laugh following, "AH HAHA HA HAHAHA HA HAAAAA!"
Heath heard laughter from inside- how could someone laugh at a time like this? So, out of curiosity, he teleported back inside, and was taken aback by who he saw.
"What the hell is Captain Awesome doing here? Why's he laughing? What the hell is going on here? I thought Team Awesome wanted nothing to do with us!" he babbled, confused by the sudden turn of events.
He was answered by silence. Everyone was too busy looking at the Lightning God.
"Would somebody PLEASE answer? I need an explanation? Seriously, what in the actual fudge?!"
He turned to Alexei.
"Please tell me you have an explanation, Alexei."
When the Unlimited Protocol reached Star City, the Arrow had arrived in Metropolis as soon as he could, hurried along by Oliver Queen, his mentor and predecessor. He had been in the middle of a skirmish with some armed robbers when Oliver alerted him of the signal through his earpiece, telling Logan to take care of the robbers extra quick. Setting his bow to the stun setting, he shot the energy-formed arrows quickly and effectively, swiftly dispatching his opponents.

With the police on the scene, he hurried back to his base of operations, the Arrowcave, which he preferred to call the Quiver, but Oliver, the stubborn old man that he was, insisted the base keep its original name. From there, Logan flew the Arrowplane to Metropolis, landing on its outskirts. He found himself at an abandoned subway station, waiting to be greeted by the remainder of the Justice League. It wasn't long before he was greeted by the new Flash.

"Flash, I presume?" he asked, extending his arm towards her.

"That would be me. You Green Arrow?" she replied, accepting his gesture and shaking his hand.

"I'm the Arrow. Green Arrow's my mentor. What's the situation?" he answered, a bit disappointed she didn't know his alias.

"Come on, I'll get you inside. It'll be explained there," she said, running ahead and into the underground HQ.

Inside were other heroes, crowded around a round table which contained a 3D holographic map of the City of Tomorrow. Arrow nodded at them, joining the posse of metahumans.

"There's still some more to come. They shouldn't be long," said Flash, before running back outside, only to come back later with a fiery blue man- Firestorm.
In terms of choosing whether or not we call in Team Awesome, Heath's out of choosing, as he's outside and didn't hear Jake's offer.
Peter Queen/Spiderbolt

Spiderbolt shook his head at Kurt's offer. He didn't have time to rest. He needed to find Dark Goblin, before he attacked again. But... He couldn't face him again. Not by himself. He'd need help.
"I can't rest. Dark Goblin is out there somewhere, and as far as I know, he's already attacked somewhere else. I need to find him, and stop him. We need to stop him. If you're up for it..." he said, extending his arm out to Kurt, "Friend."
My first thought: What in the actual fuck. My final thought: This is frickin' awesome.
