Post or something. o.o
His opponent met his own strike with one of their own. Tordor felt the vibration of the blow travel up his arm, his own sword giving just slightly to absorb the majority of the impact. Suddenly the elf pushed down on his sword unintentionally as she slid her blade up his own as she bolted forward. Tordor didn't waste a moment, gripping the fulcrum of his sword firmly he used it as a lever; pushing it forward as his right hand went back while he simultaneously charged forward as well.

Thus sending his sword to point at an angle slightly down and the right of him. Thus forcing his opponent’s sword to the right side with his own blade between it and him. Smoothly transitioning into a straightforward pommel strike aimed at his opponent's throat. Both were now too close to effectively use either of their blades, but Tordor knew that every part of a sword was a weapon. A fact that his opponent was going to learn the hard way.

Thanks to the fact the elf had pushed her sword against his in an attempt to slide along it, this simple manoeuvre would be almost impossible to avoid. As she wouldn't be able to pull her sword back around in time to defend herself. Given that both were moving toward each other at frightening speed, there was nowhere for her to go to avoid his pommel strike. The kinetic impact of his accelerated speed combined with her own forward momentum would grant the blow the kind of power to cause catastrophic damage. Whether or not her shield would be enough to save her was yet to be seen.

Right, you didn't turn. However, you set your feet as if preemptively expecting to turn. You only stated sword in left hand, bringing it up, and then down into an upward cut from left to right. What you meant cannot really be applied to what is written, specially in this case, where your position is weak and vulnerable. My attack with the earth, was mid-swing, or at the earliest stages of your swing. Enough that he could determine your swing and react to have the earth cut low. Otherwise, it wouldn't have been written that way in the first place. You were already 5 feet from me, when you began your swing. My earth strike was written at 64 inches, which equals just a bit longer than 5 feet. With the time to took my earth to reach you, and you to actually detect the attack coming, you would have been at least another foot or so closer by the time you made your defense. And then your footwork from your original stance to the defensive one is just about absurd, which translate in to somehow jumping back, which I'd love to take advantage of, cause it's downright ridiculous, but alas, I can't even do that right now, because all the stuff beforehand doesn't even make sense.

I think I'm going to have to call up the judge on this one. @skallagrim I'll go with whatever he decides, but fyi.. your footwork is horrendous.

Skall, last 3 post.

Sorry for the delayed response, but weekends are bad.

First off you Don't appreciate the veiled insults to my intelligence, all I really needed was the time frame for his counterattack, since I I doubt an unpreped ability will cover 4 feet in less than a second. I also never changed the position of his sword. This is a niche hobby for me at best, I don't care enough to continue if your going to be a massive asshole for no reason at all. But at least I see what kind of person you are now.

Anyway, having read over it a few days earlier I was going to change it anyway, since it was a bit rushed at the time. I think after this I'm going to just avoid you on the forum; to much drama in my life to have to deal with it here. That is all.
So in that case the story arc was named Gorilla and the Skulltor or w/e, you don't have to have your opponent name in the title? As you might fight many opponents in one arc.

No you don't need the name.
@GreivousKhan If your foot is positioned to turn the opposite way, [His left foot leading and right foot braced, ready to shift position; not forward but in the exact opposite direction.] Braced, but not in a way that would really position you to stop on a dime like that. Cause even if you were to do a complete turn, your foot positioning wouldn't allow you to both stop instantly, and turn simultaneously.

Plus, bringing your sword in like that? While going for a lower left to upper right strike? I call shenanigans.

Then there was one other thing, but that's a mistake I planned on you making.

So what am I missing?

He wasn't going that fast to begin with, not sure what turn your referring to, I never turned during that maneuver. Anyway, where my sword was positioned (also I noticed I said left to right, when it should say right to left since it's blade palm up.) allowed for a pretty straight forward defense without having to change his arm position much at all, he never went for the attack as your reaction interrupted that outcome. You never really stated when and at what distance you were doing anything, which left an uncomfortable amount of information up in the air.

I assume that the sphere thing happened before he came within range.
I know @Melonhead asked for an example of what @GreivousKhan wanted, did we get it or did I miss it scrolling through the thread?

I added it to the Archives (IC) OP.

Also known as Hop in!

I hate this damn iPhone.. First it won't let me type kick Khan's ass, now it won't let me finish anything. *grumbles*

Obviously the phone wants you to avoid telling lies. ^^

It happens all the time, even in the arena setting, to me. Though for some damn reason it turns out better than I expect in some cases and I usually, in a story, aim to work past that character flaw. I personally think it might be fun to develop a sort of mentor/teacher type connection between characters as the combat aspect both tests and helps develop IC explanation for how to work past said issues without mysteriously eliminating them. ^-^ They still exist, but be manageable. Though likely new problems would arise to take the old's place naturally as you will never get a perfect PC.

I feel like I'm spamming OoCs left and right so if my yammering gets on your nerves, feel free to kick my ass out and I'll get back to doing what I do best: Lurking.

I originally intended on a character who would always do what I thought was best, but funnily enough Ruchette is turning out to be one with the biggest personality flaw of overconfidence. Leeroy's character is also letting personality cloud his judgement. Anyone else having characters doing this?

Tablurath is like that to a fault, his biggest weakness is his arrogance. The guy chooses to go into battle with heavy training weights on purpose. I don't know any character who willingly give themselves a handicap. Heck I even planned on him only having a one eyed mask so his opponents could make use of his blind-spot.

Most of the time he'll even use one sword or none at all. XD

He only uses five if he's even taking you seriously. I'm surprised though no one has asked how he exactly uses five swords at once. >.>

My characters all have weaknesses Khan, you just need to learn how to fight.

I love when you talk dirty to me.

Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever fought Skallagrim.

How long have you been here anyhow?
So- what's the plan, folks? :)

Work has kept me really busy lately, but I should make some progress today on my collab. Still need to be made aware of Half'faces plan before we make our sortie. :J

As Tablurath moved forward his sensitive preternatural sight noted the telltale shifting of the strands of fate that made up his opponent's body. Another thread, different from before, pulsing with power in harmony with the movements of one of the spherical objects in his opponent. Fascinating.

Khazna noted the pulsing of power that seemed to pool near the young mans feet, his only warning before the concrete shifted then burst forth suddenly. Tablurath’s own sword sailing well above the spear. The tip of stone impacting into his lower abdomen, splitting a ceramic plate and causing the lower segment of the vest to push inward as the net fibers spread the kinetic energy. Even as he attacked Tablerauth realized he couldn't avoid the obstruction as he tucked in his stomach. Thinking quickly, he instead aimed his swing slightly lower to sever the thread of power feeding into the construct. The collision compressing into his stomach and sending him stumbling back as pain shot through his abdomen.

His vestments had prevented him from being skewered, but the blunt trauma had effectively knocked the air from his lungs and left him with the taste of bile giving evidence to some internal damage. It seemed the attack had been aimed at his stomach, thankfully avoiding his spleen or smaller intestines.

It was at that moment that his opponent reappeared suddenly at Tabluraths 11 O'clock. The construct apparently aiming low. ‘Fast,’ Tablurath thought, but he was right where the Cardinal wanted him.

Still moving at a leisurely pace when compared to the blinding speed he was capable of. Tablurath sent his left handed into a blur of motion as he weaved his sword back and forth with just his wrist; keeping his arm forward. This had the consequence of knocking loose the mibs still coating the sword, thus leaving trails of looked like ash in the air, creating temporary opaque walls to obscure line of sight to him. Taking the time to evaluate the space between himself and his opponent.

Now thirteen feet from his opponent, Tablurath shifted his right foot behind him as he extended his right arm up and behind palm open. Cleanly catching Mercy in one motion as it ended its fall exactly at the position he had predicted. At that moment another blade looking exactly like Mercy fell blade down impaling itself at the base of the stone spike where the young man had stood moments ago. The fall earlier having shaken loose the mibs coating that sword and thus activating the mibs prime directive whenever a sword passed through their space. The sound of metal striking and cutting through stone cracked through the air suddenly. Something that could very well distract his opponent if but for a second.

Tablurath reavulated. His opponent could manipulate stone and rock? At a rather quick rate at that while also simultaneously performing teleportation? Operating such abilities at once clearly made him a powerful foe to be sure. Things were certainly going to get interesting then. His injury made a direct approach unwise at best. Feet spaced and standing in a minor crouch Tablurath allowing him to quickly move left or right, then waited as he watched his opponent.

Twin spirals of mist expelled themselves from his scabbards that hung from his belt as he held his left hand sword angled pointing in the direction of his opponent and the other angled across his chest.
