Background Information

History: 2 Paragraphs min

Seran is the bastard son of a well known Protection Services magnate Brin'ferron Groummar and a human woman named Clara Sorgdottir. Sera had been researching the effects of the Sundering when she met Brin. He was just a common merc at the time and they had fallen in love. When Brin left her, Clara was heartbroken but puled herself together when she found out she was with child. It was not an easy pregnancy, as her research was already exhausting. Seran was born in the lab on a medical table, and she knew it was Brin's child. They shared the same silver eyes. She raised him as best she could, eventually finishing her research and being offered a position at Lotus.

Seran was taken to Lotus city with his mother at the age of six and they discovered that Brin was still around and kicking when the DNA tester IDed him as Brin's child. Brin was both furious and intrigued as young Seran was already a strong shadowmancer and fighter, having harnessed his magic to protect himself and his mother. Brin was furious only because he'd worked hard and didn't have the time to raise a son, but ended up needing to when one of Clara's experiments caused her to go temporarily blind for a few years. This incident brought himself and Clara back together, and they married, becoming a full family and Clara giving birth to Orin'vol. Brin helped fund Seran's training, and sent him through the Rite of Passage their family had done for years.

When Brin expressed that he'd rather study magic than join his father in the Family Business, Brin was furious. Clara defended Seran's want with the logic that Orin and Grant were perfectly capable of fulfilling that role to which Brin eventually relented. He helped Seran get set up as a freelance researcher and arcanist. It was there he met his friend and then partner in crime Ada Vilara.

Seran went to Fugoshi Academy in Japan, where he trained as a Mystic Adept at the age of 16. He graduated at the top of his class and won the Regional Tournament with his sparring. The Academy is invite only and auditions are very difficult. Seran got in because Brin knew one of the Adept instructors and showed him what Seran could do.

Seran is calculative and steadfast. He prefers the slow and steady approach to things, but is quick to adapt when things get out of hand. He stays on the general outskirts of things, and watches from a distance, gleaning insight other would miss. He isn't know for doing too well with orders since he refuses to do work that would directly lead to killing others as he dislikes the sight of copious amounts of blood.

Seran is slow to anger, but when he hits his tipping point it usually ends in blood. He's a bit of an extremist in this point as if those he cares about are harmed, he has no problem making their lives hell. He is distrustful of others, preferring to stick to his friends and families' sides.

A set of titanium throwing knives given to him by his Mentor upon graduating from the Academy.

Seran uses no augs, as they are a hinderance to his abilities as a mystic.

Armor:
Seran does not use any armor other than his bullet resistant coat.

Skills/Magic: Deckin, Casting, Fighting etc.

Seran trained both his body and his mind to be an efficient combatant and infiltrator as per his father's wishes. He uses his magic with his blades to create shadowy chains for various uses, such as armor, chains, and magical blasts.

Seran earned his blademaster title in the Academy, and is a notable combatant.

-Infiltration
Seran's mentor Master Saraya was a master thief and ninja adept. She trained him to move like the shadows he calls, swift and silent. She taught him to twist men around his finger and to charm even the most sober of men. If he wants information or an item behind a locked door, he'll find a way to retrieve it. He was schooled in high and low society traits and can blend into the crowd with ease.

Stein was bored. Siting in one spot for several hours bored him. The fact that during his free period was spent doing nothing but peruse the forums while his Assistant Guldmaster and best friend kept going on and on about the analytics of the upkeep and development of his Castle, and by proxy, town was a bit of an irritant. He wanted nothing more than to explore the vast world of World End Online and continue his hunt for cool sights.

The sense of adventure drove him to become who he was. It drove the man to be the first Player to receive the title of [Lord] in the game. It had required almost a years worth of questing and taking down some pretty tough bosses. But in the end, The Iron Legion gained itself it's very own Bastion, Iron Heights. Stien loved the whole affair, till he learned that now he had to watch over and protect the small village next to his property, and make sure it thrived or they would revolt.

The only person among the Officers who loved it was his Assistant. The crazy woman loved the idea of having a village to look over. Within a few months she'd made it into a Town, which boosted the Bastion to a Castle, providing even more rewards. Unlike some of the other castle and towns, no one messed with the Iron Legion. They were THE guild. All were adventurers at heart. The only way to join was through invitation and serious vetting. It made for a Guild who became the image other guilds wanted to be.

Stein smiled at his inner musings. Sure, WEO had died down a bit, but he didn't mind. There was always an adventure to be had in that world. And he would stay as long as that held true. He picked up his books and headed off, friend in tow to his next class. HE just wanted it to be over, so he could get in the game.

Once his classes are over, Stein jumps into his truck, driving straight to his apartment. Leaving his keys on the hanger he makes some dinner before grabbing his headset, getting comfortable and diving into the game. As usual, he looks over himself once in. He made his character a bit like himself, though with his stats, he's probably a bit bigger and wider. He was already a big guy IRL, but in game, he chose to take the Half Giant race, as they got bonuses to strength and constitution.

Before he could do anything, he was pulled into a minor case involving some stuff in the town outside of Iron Heights, Tempest Peak. It was fairly simple stuff, and he got through it quickly. He was itching to get out of the Castle, today and so he decided to teleport to one of the harder zones and grind. However, upon looking at the teleport list, he noticed one was blank. 'Eh, it's not like I can't handle a little danger...' Hitting the button he vanished from the castle.

A few moment later and he was standing among a small crowd of people. Being his size, he could easily see over everyone and listened as the NPC said her spiel. He read through the EULA and signed it. It was all standard procedure he guessed, and this new zone could provide some sweet new sights. The half giant grinned in anticipation.
